Hello! I am a family oriented photographer and have a bit of trouble to keep the colors of files exported between lightroom and photoshop consistent. I edited my images on 5 Lightroom and export TIFF files after ProPhoto color space

Hello! I am a family oriented photographer and have a bit of trouble to keep the colors of files exported between lightroom and photoshop consistent. I edited my images on 5 Lightroom and export TIFF files after changing color ProPhoto RGB space. Then, I opened a picture at once and changed the settings of Photoshop CC ProPhoto RGB color (under the workspace). When I was editing on photoshop, I tried to export the image, but the colors seemed different, a bit washed out and blue, from the color of the workspace, I was on. I don't know how to solve this problem. Please notify.

Thank you very much for this! Color sorted

  • Is it possible to keep the same arrangement file after changes PS?

After editing a file of LR in PSCS3 (and then save and close), when this file returns to LR, this is a psd. file & changes his place until the end of the catalogue as well as the original file of the NAVE and is the file that is selected. This is annoying as I have while you open the Panel background film and back the cursor to the position where the photo I just edited was originally to go to the next photo (instead of simply by pressing the arrow button to the right). It is a waste of time. Is it possible to have the original file of the nave as well as the return to its place of origin in the psd file catalog. I am aware that I can probably rearrange the files later, but it does not solve the problem of workflow.

That is the Question. Is it possible to have this original Photo 1 (with psd) to be in the place where Photo 1 is supposed to be, at the beginning of the catalogue & not at the end.

The recorded image and the original may not move normally at the end of the film. Check that the sort order is not the ordervalue.

  • Projection of images and the question of the color space

We are having a discussion in our photo club. We use a projector to project the images of the competition. For years, we used Faststone Viewer to project images. We have the usual problems of people not calibrate their monitors and sometimes the colors match does not, but it worked pretty well.  Now that the people who handle the projection are competent in LR, they use LR on a Windows laptop, to organize and display the images via the projector. The projector is a projector of sRGB VGA.  Some argue that LR will cause problems because it uses the Adobe RGB color space as the space of display colors. (We know that the native color space is ProPhoto). Others think it will display images in space sRGB color to the projector as you can when you export an image. I can't find anything in Adobe help pages on this subject.

Here is a contribution to the debate to give you an idea of what some people are talking about:

I understand that LR will send bits of images (in the Adobe RGB color space) to the Windows API and in turn the bits are returned on the LCD screen and exit VGA via LCD/VGA color profiles associated. That is my understanding of the viewer FastStone sends the image bits being without modification in the color space. LR sends the bits altered the Adobe RGB color space. Assuming that both programs require the same Windows API, the images must return the same, but they do not. My conclusion is that the former is in sRGB and the latter in Adobe RGB. I guess they call the same APIs because you can open a jpeg file in Windows Picture Viewer (applet in Win7) and see a different rendering of FastStone, it does not use the color managed API.

Anyone who can shed some light on this delicate subject?

You actually want an app like Lightroom or Bridge to view images on your projector and not the unmanaged faststone Viewer or something like. Lightroom translated correctly the image on the destination for the projector profile regardless of the original color of images space. It is best to calibrate them and profile projector in addition to your monitor. Some of the highest fine adjustment washers support projectors too. It is rare that these projectors really are sRGB. They are usually somewhat narrower. Some of the more recent are wider gamut when using LEDs or lasers instead of bulbs.

  • After Effects crash when you change the color space to render the output

    Hi all

My legacy crashes each time, if I want to change the color space in my rendering output. It doesn't matter what color space or what file. In this case since I have updated my version 13.8 sequelae.

    This is the error message:

    < 140735248756736 > < BEE_WorkQueue > < 5 > BEE_Project:TimestampGetNextZANZIBAR - 3: can not generate timestamp, frozen = 0, open = 0

I tried to revert to the prior version of my support, but as soon as I open this version, he says, that I have to uninstall and then install this version again as error 1 appeared.

Does anyone have some tips I can do? Either get it solved the problems of color space or how to install an older version of my support? I really need a color space in my rendered files.

Thanks a lot for your help.

This problem is fixed in update fixes after effects CC 2015.3 (13.8.1). This update, available now, can be installed by using the creative Office Cloud app, or by choosing Help > updates within any Adobe application.

  • Is there a reason to save the original NEF files after import for the LR in the form of files 'convert to DNG?  Is there a reason to save the two versions?  The NAVE seems to have no further use other than too much hard drive space.

Is there a reason to save the original NEF files after import for the LR in the form of files 'convert to DNG?  Why save versions when the DNG is the original and the NAVE seems to just take remote hard drive space?

I see no reason to keep them, they take a lot of space, one of the reasons to convert to DNG is that they are almost 20% smaller than the ships.

But it is of course your choice...

  • How to automatatically answer the question of "change the color space?

After obtaining of CS4 I will often wonder if I want to change the settings of the color space of the image I want to open.

In previous editions of SP/c, you can access the General settings and set the response to be automatically always the same (always ask/never ask/always the existing value or original...).

Since I always want to change the color space to match the color in CS4 space I would like once again able to set as default. How can I do this in CS4?

It is in the color settings (Edit > color settings). Change the RGB color strategy to convert RGB working. Uncheck the appropriate (or all) checkboxes in the politics of color.

  • Tags of the color space can be identified in Lightroom 3?

I'm looking for an easy way to check if a color space tag is associated with a specific (for example an imported JPEG) images in the library Module.  Anyone know?  I can't seem to find a line that in the view of metadata.

LR does not show this information, he correctly interprets an ICC profile embedded import, but therefore the photo is in internal LR color space.

Use a third-party utility (ExifTool, etc.) to search for the color space tag and/or the embedded ICC profile.

  • Can I keep the color in a linked table?

Not having much luck on the issues from the table, but will continue to try.

In my linked tables (excel to Indesign CC), we have cells that have different fonts, colorful and bold depending on the day.

Is it possible to keep the color of the font in the update to INdesign?

Styles will not help because you never know which cell is going to be what color - it depends on the importance of the different contracts at different dates.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

  • How to keep the colors using the tool to redefine the colors in the range

I try to paint some pictures of complex mesh. I'm running out of problems with the Recolor tool creating colors of the range and not having not control global group, I had before using the tool.

I have all my assigned as global color swatches, and I assured that all colors are in the range. I then lock the layers, I don't want to change and choose the ones I do. I then select the Recolor tool, select the tab edit and click to link colors. Then I play with the STL to make color changes, I want to do for the selected layers. I have create a new color group, and then click OK.

I now have a new design. Nice, but now some of the colors may be out of gamut, and because I have not now global colors I can't easily change their return to be in the range.

So is there a way to keep the image recolorée to stay in the range? And to create global colors that I can then edit to change my mesh?

    Thanks for any help/clues.

I have not hink it is possible to keep the colors in the range. The only thing yo could do is limit colors resulting libraries of nuances. You could choose a big library such as the PANTONE. But that would of course still limit yourself to a smaller range of colors that may be required.

  • 910219. how to download and keep the Windows Update files?

    Hello

What is the ideal way to update Windows? now, Windows downloads the selected updates. where? I do not know! and after their installation, it removes the packages for installation on my computer. This causes the downloaded updates are lost, and I can't use them to similar machines that need to install the same updates. for these machines, I have to download updates again! This causes my internet to be charged again while it is not really necessary.

the ideal way, in my view, is that I can specify a folder for the Windows Update service. It can use a default folder for that also. After selecting the updates, I want to install in my system, it checks to see if the update is already existing in the folder. only if NOT it downloads. then after downloading it maintains the package in the same folder after installing. installation should be done automatically as it is done now. Then I can move the folder to another machine. in the second machine, I also choose the update I want to be installed which are mostly the same as the first machine. for example, Windows Update only consumes my internet traffic for updates that are not yet downloaded. I wonder why Windows Update doesn't currently work the same way?

by this method, I can at least use the consumption of traffic and I can access the latest updates with the easier and faster way. I I would like to choose a memory flash for this purpose and keep the folder inside.

is there a way to achieve this?

  • Is there an easy way to add text to a chain control / indicator and keep the colors

    Hello

Bassically I want to add text to a chain control / indicator without losing the formatting of the previous text.

For a part of a program that I create, data will be transmitted to and from a serial device. I want to display this data in a chain control / indicator and change the color of the text of certain strings depending on data type (sent, received). Basically as a nice log window.

At the moment, I update the chain control / indicator by reading the text and concatenated with the new string. However, this method removes the colors of previous text :-(

Is it possible to add data to the control of the chain / indicator without losing the text previous formatting?

I started to create a sub vi who reads a text both character and adds a new element in an array (offset color and text), if the color is distinguished by the previous character. Only problem is it seems to be quite time CPU.

    Thanks in advance,

    Matt

Actually, no. This means that you will have to use workarounds. Your workaround solution seems a bit involved. Basically, all you need to do is just to keep track of the pairs of end start/selection selection that must be colored in a table. Then just you loop in this table to color the text marked by the power positions.

An alternative is to use a different indicator. Rather than an indicator of the string, you can use a table with a column. You can then set the foreground color on a cell by cell basis, and add a new line (row) will not affect the coloration of the previous lines.

  • Change the color spaces of dialogue impression

I have a CS4 INDD on Mac OS 10.5.8 which was created for us Web Coated paper. All images have us Web coated incorporated in them. We print it in leaves on a sheet not lying so I will try to test CMYK print and then choose the printer profile us leaves not lying in the color management tab. I check the option preserve CMYK numbers, knowing I don't want black text to convert an accumulation of process. In short, the images are not being converted. They always have a 300% total ink in black areas. If I convert them into PS total ink reduced to 260 which is what I'm after, as well as the compensation of gain a tad more dowry.

If I uncheck the option preserve CMYK numbers convert images but the fact the text. I've rechecked to ensure that images have the profile Web Coated incorporated, which is supposed to trigger the conversion when INDD sees that it is different from my profile of the printer (to no bed sheets).

If I export PDF directly from INDD they convert but the fact the text.

If I print postscript with leave unchanged colors selected in the tab out, then set Distiller to perform the conversion, it does not work unless I uncheck the option preserve CMYK numbers. Gives me black constructed type in the process

I tried all the options I can think and can't get the images to be converted and the type to pass through unchanged.

I could go through and convert images in PS, but I'm really looking for a way to do when printing as this scenario comes all the time.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

It is probably a case of use of the wrong option for how to treat files when you place them. It is important that the policy be set to PRESERVE embedded profiles, or ID guess the current workspace.

Canon DPP and IMAC, sRGB, CS4

I convert and save the TIFF image. I lost a large part of the punch in my color.

I open the file in PS CS4. the color is all gone far. the file looks like washed out, cool.

I got my workspace sRGB in the CS4. It was nothing like what I get in DPP.
