    Greetings,

I have an ISO image that I want to burn it on a USB key that I would use to start a PC. However, I have found no tool to do. Any help would be appreciated.

    Jean-Pierre

    Everyone,

The following utility has worked very well for me:

    Universal-USB-Installer - 1.8.3.7

    I downloaded from:

    www.pendrivelinux.com

Then I downloaded a Linux. ISO image, created the bootable USB key with the utility above, with the. ISO image and then put to the test.

I can run Unix Ubuntu from a USB key bootable containing the operating system on it.

I like windows, especially Windows 7, but issues of security and business needs, well I'm Linux as an alternative to explore, rather than just Apple, which they say is unhackable. Laughing out loud!.

    Kind regards

  • How to burn an ISO (which is a bootable CD/DVD) to a USB port?

How to burn an ISO (which is a bootable CD/DVD) to a USB port?

I usually burn ISO files bootable CD or DVD with NERO6, 7.   Now, I would like to burn on a USB key.

Ideas on a good and stable program?

    I. - Download the software that makes bootable USB drives the ISO. WinToFlash http://www.bing.com/search?q=+WinToFlash+&form=HPDTDF&pc=HPDTDF&src=IE-SearchBox> and Unetbootin http://www.bing.com/search?q=UNetbootin&form=HPDTDF&pc=HPDTDF&src=IE-SearchBox> are the two options included in the section resources. The software will automatically convert iso files on a USB drive and make it bootable.

II. - open and install your chosen software. The software will be an installation clicks where pressing a couple of times then you have ready to go.

III. - Plug the USB and check what drive it is listed as in 'my computer '.

IV. - Launch your chosen software and specify paths. There will be two sections to choose from. Look for the converted ISO file in the download or the source article. For the second section, select the path or the destination (USB key) is transferred to ISO.

    V. - click 'Next' and let the program create a USB bootable ISO file. It may take some time depending on the size of the ISO file. When the process is finished, you have a bootable USB key with your ISO file.

    Hey guys,.

I Googled what to do about this error message and all I got was to ensure that the ISO is disassembled. I did, and yet I still get the same exact error message. I'm trying to get Windows 7 Home Premium on a 2012-13 inch Mac Book Pro. I also use a flashdrive 16 GB for the ISO image. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

According to your description, my guess is that the program that you used has replaced the boot files on the hard drive, NOT on the flash drive. Thus, your PC no longer starts.

To resolve startup problems, you need access to a PC for this phase of work in order to create the necessary support to fix your PC boot loader.

You will need to create something called a CD-ROM to repair Win7 - which you could have done for free when Win7 was working.  This will repair the boot loader files, and if that is the problem, your PC will start OK after that.

But now, which can be obtained (with supplement) from this link: http://neosmart.net/blog/2009/windows-7-system-repair-discs/

When you download this file, it will be an ISO file.

To make a CD bootable it, you will need to download and install ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/

Once you have installed, run, select the option "Save image to disk file" and select the downloaded ISO file and that it points to a blank CD.

To make a USB bootable of it, you will need to download and install RUFUS: https://rufus.akeo.ie/

Once you have that, it is executed in the input of the unit, use the drop down menu to select the USB stick.  Near the bottom right, where is written 'Create a bootdisk to aid', select the ISO file downloaded.
    -------------------------------------

Boot from the media that you have created and follow the instructions in this link: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/681-startup-repair.html

You will probably need to run Startup Repair three times for him to fix all the boot loader.

Once completed, your PC should start OK.

    Good luck

  • Tool for creating media, Windows Bootable USB key problem

Hey, when using of media creation tool to download and make N 8.1 Windows Bootable on my 64 GB Kingston, USB 3.0, the process gets all the way to the end before failing and say "sorry, something happened and we could not finish creating the flash drive in the drive I got access denied." So my question is; Why won't it work?

Use the multimedia creation tool to download and save the .iso image file. Do not use it to make the USB. This prevents you wasting time downloading Windows 8.1 and then having to redownload as the tool does the USB incorrectly. Rufus makes the Bootable USB key. Its best to use a 8-32 GB USB flash drive and FAT32 format (64 GB will be truncated to 32 GB for FAT32).

If you install in the UEFI with SecureBoot (new Security Technologies - made systems in 2012 or later systems in 2010-2011 may also have the UEFI BIOS with the latest BIOS update but the settings must be enabled) use the "GPT partition for UEFI computer scheme." Be sure to format it in FAT32 or the USB Flash drive will not start.

If you install in a legacy systems BIOS for systems without a UEFI BIOS, then use the "partition MBR BIOS laptop scheme." Its also recommended to format the Flash drive to FAT32 but not necessary for a Legacy BIOS.

See here where I demonstrate the procedure:

  • "Your bootable USB key could not be created there is not enough space available on the disk.

I am trying to install a partition of Windows 7 with an ISO on a flash drive with Boot Camp Assistant. Everytime I try it however, I get the error "your bootable USB key could not be created there is not enough space available on the disk. The flash drive that I use for this is 64 GB, so I doubt that the issue has to do with not enough available space. I have already tried the obvious, like reformat the flash drive and retry the write. Is there something I could hurt or do differently to make it work?

  • can I have multiple images on a simple USB key?

I would like to save an image of my T400 (XP), then upgrade the hard drive for an SSD, then upgrade the operating system to Windows 7 (or 8) and take another picture.

I have several questions that I hope someone can help me with...

    • Can I use Rescue and Recovery to save several images on a simple USB key?
    • If so, how the sw keep separate files?
    • Will it still work if I use two different versions, Rescue and Recovery, (4.3 for XP) and 4.5 for W7?
    • Is there a way to store images in separate folders on the USB, or which is not necessary?
    • Is there a better way to do it (including using different sw)?

    Thanks in advance,

    Ron

If you open disk management, you will see Disk 0 with more than one partition. If you want to regenerate a HD in return the same you'll want all or at least two partitions. You will notice the boot partition Active is not C Windows player, but a partition called System_Drv (at least in my system). These two will be required when you image a new drive. Otherwide you will have a fixation with external tools to start.

When I'm trying to boot from a USB bootable, his error showing that bootmgr missing. Press ctrl + alt + delete to restart. I tried sp3 and xp sp2. having the same problem with both. Kindly help.

    Hello

    1. you are trying to install Windows XP by using the bootable USB key?

Check if the sequence of the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) is set to boot to the operating system from the USB key.

For more information get in touch with the manufacturer of the system.

    Note:

BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  • results after you start the netbook with the bootable usb key

do you do after you make the bootable USB key and start your netbook and just windows 7 Professional can't choke and it want let me to upgrade or to perform a custom installation?  & What drivers should I install?

If you want to upgrade your Netbook Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Professional, you must use the upgrade wizard Express Windows as well as the key to Windows 7 Professional.

If the license for Windows 7 Professional, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade from Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Professional. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation).

Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Professional on demand, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional your files, programs and settings retained.

    Hello

I don t use the sound recording now to make an iso file because I m user of Nero.
I love this program. But back to Sonic.
As much as I know Sonic doesn't supports this option. It doesn t create iso files.
You can use it to create audio CDs from files on your HARD drive, convert audio CDs to MP3, create a Toshiba CD-ROM, CD copy, etc.

If you want to create iso files, you must use another application like Nero
