Burning protected audiobook to MP3

Hello

so I bought an audiobook for my grandmother, because she can't listen on mp3 cd, I need to burn/convert it.

I thought it would be easy...

Now I can't burn itunes audio book, I received a "files iTunes Store cannot be burned onto a CD MP3."

I tried to convert it to MP3 format, received "cannot be converted because protected files cannot be converted to other formats."

so I tried to convert it to AAC, could not explain why I want, but again and received the same message exactly as MP3.

Maybe I'm just wrong...

can I burn this CD mp3 audio book (while keeping the chapters, if possible, privileged...)?

and how?

I'm on Yosemite 10.10.4

and my iTunes version is 12.2.1.16

In my opinion, they are not up-to-date, I usually don't update unless I have to, I don't care if this could be the problem, but I tend to believe that this isn't...

Audio books from the iTunes Store uses DRM (copy protection) as required by the content producers.  You cannot use the command to create a new Version on items that have DRM that prevents it.

Now I can't burn itunes audio book, I received a "files iTunes Store cannot be burned onto a CD MP3."

MP3 CD?  It can work if you select Audio CD as the Disc Format.

    Hallo again Ray...

If I understand correctly your mp3 files have been converted M4A iTunes and you want to make versions mp3 again, Yes? You can do it in iTunes settings rip as shown in the images below. Then when you do a right click on a particular track (or tracks) you will see the option "create mp3 version". Who will find then in your folder iTunes music, parallel to the m4a version. Let me know if you get stuck... Ric.

    ·          What is the size of the file you want to copy?

This behavior can occur if the files that you copy contains a file that is greater than the formatted capacity of a CD in size.

  • DRM protected Audiobooks

Hi I have Sansa Clip Zip and I'm also using MAC

I downloaded some audio books from Audible.com files that are protected by DRM, and when transferred to the sansa player they did not show

-I don't have any windows computer please indicate how to read these books files in my player

Unfortunately, you cannot use a MAC to transfer content from Audible.com for a Sansa. The question is only Audible does not provide the software needed to transfer their files to a Sansa for MAC OS. ITunes has a built-in component for sound, but itunes doesn't work with anything except an ipod. To transfer the audio content you'll need a Windows PC and you should not use sound Manager to transfer content to your Sansa.

  • Convert song purchased from iTunes to mp3 store

I have a song that I bought on the iTunes Store, I wanted to share it with a friend who needed in mp3 format.  I created a Playlist with this the only song and tried to burn playlist to disc.  When you are prompted, I chose the mp3 format. I got the message «the file is an iTunes Store file and cannot be burned to a CD mp3»

Does this mean that any time I buy a song on the iTunes Store can't share or create playlist mp3 for my own pleasure.  For example, I have a very good Audio Alpine receiver in my car, but it will not play mp4 so I need mp3 songs to play in my car. I also have a home radio/mp3 player that I can join a flashdrive USB port and listen to my songs, as long as they are MP3s.

Can someone help me get control of the songs I bought and paid?

    Hello

You can find detailed steps useful here:

Note, however, that old purchased songs are encoded in a protected, AAC format prevents them from converts. Information on how to improve and convert them to another format is available here:

  • Why iTunes deselect pieces before burning a disc?

If something has changed in v11.4? Trying to burn a music CD and iTunes deselects 3 songs just before burning. I know that there is enough space on the disk. I even made a playlist with only 3 songs and they don't burn. That is what it is?

Select songs in iTunes & using ' file > info '.

Look at the tab "Summary" to see what kind of file they are and if they are 'protected' or bound to an another Apple ID etc.

After return to what you find, also compare with the files that are burning.

I suspect you may have files cannot be converted.

Please confirm what type of CD you burn - is it "Audio", "MP3" or "data CD"?

  • How to convert songs to unprotected which have been purchased and are protected

Several years ago, iTunes would classify songs like PROTECTED file format.  This block of songs [900] now posed problems for their use for current playlists because they will NOT work on devices such as my audio system with SONOS.   How can I convert these songs into another format of file without loss of quality of format?   My only option that I can think of is to convert a CD in MP3 format and then reload.  This seems to be a bad choice, because it would be down the grade quality and take a very large amount of time and resources [many discs CD] to accomplish.  Is there a software out there to convert these files.  I searched and not found yet.  I also called Apple and they had no solution for me at this time.

A subscription to Match ($25 per year) iTunes will give you the possibility of re - download songs protected in iTunes no longer protected format (256 kbps AAC). Read this Apple Support article. It is mentioned that this option may not be available for all your songs protected, do not know what the criteria here is. This will / might actually be an upgrade of quality for your purchased version (128 kbit/s in the early days). The other option would be to burn regular CD audio from your protected albums - not MP3 CDs such as the format of the file won't change - and re-rip them one at the time. If you save money without loss, you will have no loss of quality, if you save in any compressed format, there will be a loss of quality due to additional compression. 900 songs will be about 90 CD to rip and burn.

  • Notification bar screen burn

Someone else screen burn from the notification bar I noticed today I watch a video in widescreen. My maxx HD does this, but it was worse. It's on the top and the bottom of the status bar and the shading of the on screen nav button. Now it would be nice to have the option to hide the tray completely. I can hide with nova, but if you open an application up to the top. I hate just that these screens burn in so easy. I wish they had built in burn protection where the screen is still moving slightly invisible to the naked eye as HD TV do now to prevent it. It would be great if bike would build in an option to hide the bar all in chrome or apps are open I don't know is what cause it is because its always there and just burn away. :-/
