business sectors, records of discoverer and olap

I am new to discover more olap. I created cubes using AWM. I can see the dimensions, measures using discoverer and olap.

I like to create new calculation sheets and put them in folders and business sectors.
How can I create new areas of activity and records?

How can I give permissions to other users to view (not edit) my worksheets.

I would like to create folders for other users so that they can save their worksheet in their records. How can I do?

Hello

Connect to AWM and attach to the AW in read/write mode. Now, create two folders of measure. You can name what you want and push respective measure measures in records. When you view by D4O or BI excel addin you will see two folders.

    Discoverer with OLAP is essentially a reporting tool.

    Discoverer catalog is a repository to store and retrieve objects definitions for
    Discoverer of more OLAP. With store of end-users Discoverer Plus OLAP in the discoverer catalog objects
    such as workbooks, calculations and saved selections and objects to share with other people who have access
    the discoverer catalog.

    Connected with Discoverer Plus OLAP users do not use the EUL (as a discoverer relational users); Instead, they use the discoverer catalog.

    You can have that one catalogue of discoverer by the database instance, which will reside in the scheme called D4OSYS.

    Discoverer catalog is not installed automatically, it can be installed via the Application Server Control interface (see details in the Guide de Configuration Discoverer). Note, if it is not present in the OLAP database, discoverer catalog installation will fail (as OLAP is a sine qua non for Discoverer to OLAP). Required in a company database to Oracle 10 g OLAP components:
    The OLAP catalog
    Oracle OLAP API
    OLAP analytic workspace

    After discoverer catalog has been installed, the catalog administrator must allow users of database required to access the catalog, so that they can use Discoverer for OLAP. The authorization can be done via the Application Server Control interface (see details in the Guide de Configuration Discoverer).

    OLAP metadata are definitions of multidimensional objects (for example, dimensions, cubes) which the discoverer for OLAP users need access in order to build/see reports based on those.

  • Discoverer and worksheet tabs

    Does anyone know why Discoverer more recently began to show tabs spreadsheet at the bottom of most in a long row with 2 arrows at the end for them, instead of multiple rows of tabs as it is used to scroll? My colleague still sees multiple lines, even when you use the same account as me. I guess that's an option I clicked but I guess it could be something weird like the Java version I had installed.

    Wow. I am fairly new discoverer and have never seen a several lines of tabs. I always had to use the arrows to move to the right and to the left. I think it's a question you should ask to Oracle support and see what they say and post their response here. I can't find anything in the manual about how to control this behavior. So of course, I have one answer for you, other than what you see is what I've always seen.

    I got confused in OWB, DI, discoverer and OBIEE technologies. I after understanding:

    1 OWB: Oracle Warehouse Builder (transfers only the useful data from a system of mappings from warehouse). OWB is ETL (Extract - Transform-Load) based technology.

    2 DI: Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) is an E - LT (extraction, loading and processing) tool used for moving data at high speed between heterogeneous systems. Oracle Buys Sunopsis tool in October 2006.

    3 Scout: A mechanism available in the warehouse data reporing.

    4 OBIEE is a complete range of products enterprise business intelligence that contain programs, servers, and tools to support broad access, free service throughout the organization. OBIEE is the basis for merger Intelligence for the E-Business Suite applications.

    All first please correct me if my interpretation is wrong. And I also hope that all these technologies are for most of the time statement.
    Currently, we have implemented Oracle Application for OM and CRM, and a data warehouse (Oracle database 10g). We also have OWB to load the data from database of Oracle Discoverer of defined mappings to applications and we use discoverer to generate reports.
    Now my questions are:
    1. What is the relationship between these technologies?
    2. we keep generally different Data Warehouse database avoid reports extra load on the server of applications (Oracle apps), is good?
    3. is that di is the technology of OWB?
    4. If we want to apply OBIEE, then given how will come to the data warehouse or use OWB with OBIEE also get the data in the data warehouse?

    Yes, it is good practice to divide your data warehouse

    No, they have separate products. OWB is part of the Oracle database, ODI is a separate tool that Oracle Buys Sunopsis.

    OBIEE will allow you to report and present your data.
    How do you get your data it is yours. You can use OWB, ODI or other ETL tool (Informatica, database, etc.)

    Different tools have differentr forces. Vision of Oracle for its stable of tools is still to crystallize completely.
    In my humble OPINION, ODI is very strong and is worth a very close me.

  • Tecra M5 does not record the date and time - battery RTC or CMOS checksum is inconsistent

    My Tecra M5 PTM50E reverend new does not record the date and time. I loaded RTC battery for 8 hours when electricity is on in the said user's manual. I don't know where is the problem. The BIOS settings are respect after power is on.

    When I change any value in the BIOS, the changes are saved properly but date & time system restored to their value 01/01/2000, 00:00 every time when I get out of turning off more of 2-3 min. Message "RTC battery is low or CMOS checksum is inconsistent.

    Press [F1] to set Date/time"does not appear when I power on the computer. Any suggestions?

    Usually this problem appears only if the CMOS (real time clock) battery is empty or corrupted.
    The real time clock battery powers the internal clock in real time and calendar. It also maintains the system configuration. If the RTC battery is completely discharged, the system loses these data and the real-time clock. In this case, the message RTC battery is low or CMOS checksum is inconsistent appears.

    So I see only two possibilities:
    Either you will charge the battery for real-time clock, or you ask the technician for replacement.

    Generally, the battery must be completely charged after 8-9 hoers but try to connect the laptop to the power adapter for a long time.
    If it will not help solve the problem if you contact the ASP for the RTC battery replacement.

    I did a vi where I record the spectrum and its integration in different positions of a two-dimensional net. I save the information in two spreadsheet with the comand "write to file measure."

    Now, I am recording the parameters initial positions, end X X and space between measurement points. I want a file with two columns that looks like:

    Initial position X 1000

    final position X 2000

    space 100

    But idon't know how to save the words and numbers in the same file.

    As I have to perform several steps I want to automatically choose the name of the file (something like parameters_1, parameters_2...)

    You can use all the functions of the WriteTotext file to write strings to a file.

    Then you could set up WriteToMeasurementFile' to add new data to existing files (instead of overwrite or renaming)...

    BTW. It is not a good idea to mix lvm files containing arbitrary spreadsheet data!

    You can try the following steps and check if you can access Sound Recorder and WordPad.

    Method 1:

    a. go to C:\Windows\System32 and double-click sndrec32.exe and check

  • Problems with recording / playback volume and record length

    I turned up the logging level in the in the Audio section on the Control Panel, but that sound recorder (Windows) in entertainment relit at very low volume.  My headset with microphone and speakers work very well for Skype calls, so I think that the microphone is ok.

    Also, is it possible to save more than a minute?

    Thank you for your message.  Please, try the following steps:
    Double-click on the taskbar of the speaker icon > click on 'Options' > select 'properties '.
    Make sure that the 'Micro' and 'PC speakers' have check marks.
    In addition, ensure that your output device and Microphone are not silent by displaying the mute boxes on each category
    You can then adjust the volume coming out of your microphone with the volume slider, you can adjust the bass etc.
    To do this, click on 'Options' > select 'advanced controls '.
    With respect to the registration of more than one minute, you can follow the steps below as a workaround, or you can download a 3rd party program that performs the actions you have requested.
    Allow the recorder record silent for 60 seconds.  Click 'Edit' > 'Copy' > click 'Edit' > 'Paste' > 'Insert '.
    This will add 60 more seconds. Click on "Edit" > "Paste" > "Insert" as many times as you need. Save as a file 'model' (name it something like long record.wav)
    Then, when you want to save something for more than 60 seconds, open the long record.wav file and instructions on the existing (virgins).
    Make sure that you save the new record with a new file name.

    I use the CC 2015 (trial!) version and it is not a good sign when I think to buy it.

    Its been a while I have used a Mac, but I'm pretty sure that the BONE protects the function keys. To override the F1 on a Mac, you must hold down the "fn" key and press F1, which I think then behaves like a normal F1 press. Try to start your action by pressing fn - F1.

    It might easier to choose a shortcut different keyboard for your action.

    Just hearing records everything that is given by your sound card or audio interface so you don't have to sort the parameters he who send the microphone and the audio PC to the record side of your system.

    How to do this will depend on exactly what your audio device and how you set the ranges.

    Once you have the end of the sound card put in place, the hearing is easy though.  Go to hardware edition/preferences/Audio and, if all is good on your sound card, it must appear as an option in the menu dropdown for entry 'default'.  You can also route the default output however you want to listen to things.

    A couple of points... the 'Device class' box allows you to specify the type of driver you are using.  Unless you have a specialist audio interface, it'll probably be Ms. also, the sampling frequency that you define in hearing must match what you set when you were selecting things on your audio card/interface.

    I don't want to end on a Downer, but many sound cards these days this force you to save on the thing or the other and cannot make a mixture of sources like XP and earlier versions of Windows used to offer.  Maybe that's why you keep finding tutorials for AA3.0... it was the last version designed around XP and previous versions.   I hope you're one of the lucky ones.
