BusinessCatalyst 'Image featured' blog

Recently I went to my blog and found this:

Screen Shot 2015-09-30 at 09.07.03.png

The field 'Image of the Star', I tried to put an image in and see what's happened but nothing has appeared? I hope that's what I think and is a thumbnail image that is recommended before the forest to the bottom of each post page. What I can't work is how it appears? Anyone know what this does?

I found the tag

{tag_blogfeaturedimageurl}

But it just shows the url to the screen.

Reflections on what this does is appreciated as guides in the help & support don't even mention.

Hey,.

You need form the image in your page layout. You are right that it will not come out by default anything.

You will need to train your html as image...

whatever

For example, in your page layout

  • Has anyone made it using the "Update Image" feature in Eloqua?

    We did not have much success with the help of the new feature "Update Image" Interior Eloqua - especially on pages that are built 100% in HTML and imported into. Anyone succeeded with the help of the new "Update Image"? If so, I would like to know how you use (outside the WYSIWYG). Maybe it's the flaw - it works with the WYSIWYG - someone can confirm? (support could not or would not)

    Thank you

    Crystal

    I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're asking, but in E10, for updating an image, I go to the assets > library > Images > double click on the image to update, click on the "Update Image" button and download the new image. There are sometimes a few minutes for the update display assets.

  • Using Stock photos in the images to a Blog OR article in the curriculum for resale on the teachers pay teachers

    I have an educational blog and design and sell the curriculum on teachers to pay. Talking with the people who create and sell curriculum, there was a lot of confusion regarding the type of licenses required and the way credit is given.

    I would like clarification related to the following questions...

    (1) If a photo is used to create an image of blog post (with text overlay, added background color or frame, or if the image is used to illustrate a title) and that the image is pinned to Pinterest or shared on Facebook, which is necessary for the license and credits?

    (2) If a photo is used in coverage for a product or a product to illustrate the written text, what license is needed IF the finished product is sold to teachers in an electronic pdf (secure)?

    The standard license is generally acceptable for the cover of the product. As illustrating text is concerned, the answer will vary from one case to the other. If, for example, in educational content, you use an Adobe Stock image of an exclamation point led to indicate particularly important information that the standard license is OK. If however, the image is used to provide educational content, then the licence would be required.

    Examples of an image used as educational content could be in language books in which the foreign Word is placed adjacent to an image, or if the content taught the person how to count... "" how many apples you see in the picture? "" This kind of thing.

    The best way to look at it is this, the content would make sense without the image? If Yes, then usually the standard license is OK. If the image is critical for content is to contribute to the primary value and the license is required.

    As always, please consult the license agreement for more information on the permitted use.

    Kind regards

  • Adding the feature in muse blog?

    I've been designing a Web site in the muse and I have most of the basic pages fleshed out, but I'm having great difficulty in adding features blog on one of my pages.
    What I want to do is something like site Web of Gwenn Seemel with a built-in video blog that fits perfectly with the rest of the site (blog of the artist , face. The blog of the French-American painter artist Gwenn Seemel. ). I think there may be a way that you can do with the catalyst for the company, but it includes improving beyond the basic web hosting adobe provides with its creative cloud done, (which is ridiculous). My CC membership already cost me close to $65 per month here in the Canada, and I can't afford another $20 + just to be able to blog on my own Web site.
    Is there a simple way to get around this?
    Again, all I want to do is host a blog simple flow on a single page of my site and have it fit perfectly with everything else.

    If all you need is a stream, then add only a few JavaScript based RSS reader. Otherwise, there is no such feature in Muse. Nothing to know ha blog requires a dynamic interface and looking at the site you linked to, there is nothing magical about this topic - the whole site runs on a PHP server, where it would be easy to integrate a blog software.

  • Blog & combined library listing

    Hi all

    I need a bit of advice on a redesign for the site of reagent layout - Michelle O'Sullivan LIPPA ~ Wedding Photography ~ portrait photographer ~ Dublin Ireland

    This is a site of photographers with a Blog & photo galleries in modules BC using the existing.

    We would like to put an ad on the home page that displays all the latest entries to the blog and photo galleries,

    but I want to be combined, so that the list of blog entries and photo galleries in the same list, and they should be the date of order,

    so if the entry the most recent is a blog post, then that will appear 1, so if you add a photo gallery, it seems 2 St and the last entry of the blog would be 2nd etc.

    The galleries of photos and blog posts are generally similar,

    a big bunch of images, just the posts have some body copy to go with them.

    So my question is,

    Option 1

    is this possible using the modules, if so, how can I do to make it?

    Or,

    Option 2,

    I'm better with a single web application, with a selector for the gallery or Blog etc..

    so that they can be displayed and listed separately or listed together on the homepage?

    Is it possible, or would I need to classify each web - app to their list separately (which can be easily missed by a customer to download).

    The disadvantages of Option 2 are only

    -J' would need to redo all the existing galleries and blog messages!

    -I miss a lot of built in feature blog

    -I don't think that it would be possible to simply download a folder of images and point the web application to this case for the Gallery (or isn't it?). If this isn't the case, I think that would exclude the customer can do these updates that might be a problem.

    Any advice would be great,

    and if I'm missing something that could change their minds, it would also be useful,

    Thanks in advance,

    Kieran Mahon

    Hi Designchiefkm,

    Thanks for your reply, I'll try and elaborate a little bit.

    For example, when you say "liquid, you can browse the data yourself and do amazing things!
    I have no idea what you mean by that, how to navigate? What does that mean?

    'Browse' means to loop through the elements of data - elements of module: in this case, blogs and images from the gallery.

    Question, when you look at a blog post, how do you know who's going to the gallery with this blog? You need to connect somehow.

    First to store all your data in collections

    {module_blog id ="blogYouWantToIterate" filter = "last" collection ="allBlogItems" "model =" "}

    {module_gallery id ="galleryYouWant" collection ="allGalleryItems" model = ""} / / I do not know the ID of your gallery, you must obtain this ID yourself. How can you determine what Gallery goes with what blog post?

    Then, you can browse the messages.

    {% for section in allblogData%} .some

    {{item.name}}

    {% endfor %}

    This is how you can see all items.

    {{ allblogData | json }}

    Go to docs.businesscatalyst.com

    Click on Cheat Sheets for a guide on everything
    Click the Code snippets for examples

    Click on reference Guide which is a mixture of cheat sheets and code snippets.

    But I advise to use Web applications, because the web apps lets you create a field that would be a reference to your gallery etc id, so that you can list all the items in the gallery. for a position.

  • blog question

    Hey BC land...

    You have a little problem with a blog... When im on the master page list is big, but when I click on the archives list article or the list of recent messages, page attributes to the correct layout. The model etc all is selected in the blog set up and I don't see where you can assign a template to the articles themselves (unless im blind)... Suggestions.

    First time I used the feature blog so feel a bit silly now

    http://andreslara.BusinessCatalyst.com/blog

    see you soon

    Shane

    Shane common problem.

    You need to update your templates.

    No matter when you are referencing a css file, javascript and image files etc. you must tell BC to read from the root.

    All src = "" starting with one / "

    SRC="/MyStyles/style.CSS' for example.

  • Problem creating styles for my BC Blog

    Hey so I'm not a genius in the world of web design, but I managed to get this far with this site I'm building...

    I use Adobe Muse for the overall design and publish in British Colombia. I want to have a blog on my site, so I found this video to guide me through it.

    http://TV.Adobe.com/watch/learn-business-catalyst/adding-business-catalyst-features-to-you are-muse-sites.

    (this is a video of 30 minutes, but happens to the blog part a little more than half way in.)

    I managed to get the blog appears in the right place and all, but when I go to design styles for titles, details, and the body of my blog, my changes do not appear... The video shows me how to insert the codes of style css (or whatever they are called) correctly in the file "modulestylesheets.css" in the development of British Colombia section, but when I refresh the browser nothing changes.

    The odd part of all this, is that when I'm at my blog page in the browser and use the tool "inspect element" to show me the HTML and css of the page, I see that the correct css style is there, but its all just don't not projecting on the page.

    Mainly, I just want the correct font I've chosen appears, called "dawn-of-a-new-day."

    Here is a link to my messy blog if it helps: http://michaellaphotography.BusinessCatalyst.com/michaellas-blog

    Thank you so much for help!

    Yes - as you have noticed... your CSS styles are present in the page.  All other CSS styles that you apply to your items take effect except the police.  This is because you can say to your CSS file to use a certain font but you must also load the police either via embedding fonts as typekit.com service or you must manually create a @font-face CSS declaration yourself and download the files of fonts for your site as well.

    In your case, I did some research on Google and found this font on Google Webfonts... so all you really need to do is add this line to the TOP of your ModuleStyleSheets.css file:

    @import url (http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=dawn + of + a + New + day);

    By adding this line you say CSS file to import another CSS file and the CSS file that you are importing is rules of @font-face of Google for a font personalized as desired.

    Side note: all of your background images are too large in file size. The background image on your blog page, for example: http://michaellaphotography.businesscatalyst.com/images/blogbackground.jpg is 2.2 MB. It's a big file.  To say the things in your site for all charge 2.4 MB of data context and 2.2 MB of which is just your background image.  I see this constantly with sites of Muse.

    You have three options:

    1. Change the resolution of 3 000 x 2 000 or whatever is the size very large background that you use something like 1920 x 1080 because most devices don't get not much bigger than. Retina iPads could have greater resolution or HD Android devices, but that might not be most of your users will probably be on the office.
    2. Keep the same resolution but you are advised to use jpeg compression because it is a jpg file.  You can export/save the jpg with a 60% quality that will significantly reduce the size of the file
    3. Lower the resolution of export/save with lower quality to activate the jpg compression.
  • Center the div in parent div Background Image and not the whole page

    I am trying to Center a background image, I have inserted as create a div via the new css rule and will have questions centering correctly on the page. I would it is centered at the top of the page contet - left area of the page content, and it seems that the background image is ignorant parent his div and is centering the page-level. It's a problem because its parent div that 2/3 of the page, therefore covers, in question background image is cropped.

    I did a video showing the problem here, because I'm not sure I use the right words to describe the problem

    Dreamweaver Background Image needs centered at the top of the page content DIV - YouTube

    In other words, I insert a div tag and add a background image so that I can place the content above it, however, the background image seems to be centered in the entire page and not simply within the Division 'parent' in design mode, everything is centered, however, in direct mode, the background image is offset. I can't really explain for good so I made another video.

    Still another problem as can be seen in the video but not prime, since it still works live, is:

    In addition, my navigation bar is direct, but in design mode, it appears at the bottom of the screen. I did fix the position, then he stuck on the right side, so I added a margin of 700px to go right once again, I guess that the problem is due to this.

    I have boldened which, in my view, are source code target areas and css to quickly reduce down, but everything included because I am not knowledgeable enough to know what is relevant or not, I could (and likely) wrong.

    Any other help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Create an image slider using the XML file photo gallery

    Hello!

    I have created a photo gallery and generated an xml file.  I want to implement a cursor image on the home page that performs a simple fade from one image to the other.

    I'm not an expert on jQuery. The BC help section says to add code that retrieves in the XML file and THEN add another code query j who would style images and transitions.

    I don't know how to do this.  Here is my code and it does not work.

    If you have a simple solution, it would be great.

    There is a script called JSSOR

    "< script type =" text/javascript"src ="... / js/jquery-1.9.1.min.js "> < / script >"

    <!-use jssor.slider.mini.js (40 KB) instead for immediate release->

    <!-jssor.slider.mini.js = (jssor.js + jssor.slider.js)->

    < script type = "text/javascript" src = "javascripts/jssor.js" > < / script >

    "< script type =" text/javascript"src="javascripts/jssor.slider.js "> < / script >

    This is the beginning of the code BC gives to pull from the xml file into a div called "Gallery".

    < div id = 'Gallery' > < / div >

    < script type = "text/javascript" >

    {$(function()}

    $.ajax({)

    type: 'GET ',.

          url: " http://www.performanceaire.com/Fahrenheit-images/BannerGallery/Photogallery.XML ", / / replace with an absolute URL of the XML of your gallery of .

    data type: "xml."

    success: {function (xml)}

    {$(xml).find('img').each (function ()}

    location var = ' http://www.performanceaire.com/Fahrenheit-Images/BannerGallery/'; / / Replace with the absolute path to the directory that contains your images

    var url = $(this) .attr ('src');

    var alt = $(this) .attr ('alt');

    $('<li></li>').html (' < a href = "' + place +" + url + ' "> < img src ="' + place + "+ url + '" alt = "' + alt + '" / > < / a > ').appendTo('#gallery');

    });

    }

    });

    });

    This is the code taken from JSSOR to transitions occur, and it does not work... any ideas?

    jQuery (document) .ready (function ($) {}

    var options = {}

    $AutoPlay: true, / / [optional] If auto play, to activate the slide show, this option must be set to true, the default value is false

    $DragOrientation: 1 / / orientation [optional] to drag the slide, 0. drag, 1 horizental, 2 3 vertical or, default value is 1 (note that the $DragOrientation must be the same as $PlayOrientation when $DisplayPieces is more than 1, or in the parking position is not 0)

    };

    var jssor_slider1 = new $JssorSlider$ ("Gallery", options);

    });

    < /script >

  • How is Muse to potentially this site? (include images of site design)

    I want to create my own portfolio site and I the first models of the scene, but I would like to know if Muse can build something like this to my specifications and still be responsive without bug common platforms and I have a back-end that I can add new images/projects/blog to.

    I know it's a big ask and I only really wait Muse experts can provide a good point of view, then I won't be ashamed if it is lost in the ether.

    Thank you very much in advance,

  • Guest Post from Blog authors

    Hey everybody,

    I've been racking my brain trying to think of ways to have messages from blog by guest authors, with a quick bio, and image as well as a link to posts by the author in particular. It should be easy for our customer at the entrance so that they don't have to touch any code, or have to deal with the sometimes-disorder of the CMS editor.

    A that someone does something similar to this?

    The Blog thing author is based on Email accounts/Admin users post is quite limited - these authors will not connect to post whatever it is, they will send the information to a user Admin who will then create the blog post.

    I thought to create a Web application in order to reproduce a feature blog style, but the lack of a link-style working tag module seems to ruin this idea.

    The BC staff have any ideas?

    I thought I'll use content holders, combined with labels of mail with the name of the authors to try to reach. Messages blog isn't the Add-ons Manager in the default toolbar must activate on a page or anywhere you can activate the Manager module, and then add it from there. That, or copy the code of the module.

    It would be great for the Add-ons Manager is available in the Blog Post editor.

    I'll mark this as the right answer because I answered my own question to a point, but not exactly how I wanted to, but I just thought a job with BC!

  • Trace of image in Illustrator CC 2015

    I need help with the track of the image of "new and improved" functionality in its new version of Illustrator. I absolutely LOVED the trace of the image in Illustrator CS5, but everything since then has been garbage. at least for what I need to.

    I need image trace to be able to rotate the image as an attachment in a vector and maintain sharp edges of stairs intervened. CS5 does it perfectly, but no matter what settings I use in the new version, I can't maintain nice strong 90 degrees. I know there are people very well informed in this forum, and I hope someone can shed some light on this issue.

    The images I work with are 1-bit bmp files, but I had to convert JPG to post here.

    Thank you!

    16.jpg

    The solution to my problem was just reinstall Illustrator CS5 on my machine, and just use the trace image feature in this version whenever I need.

  • No 'Mirror Image' checkbox not tab in advance for c4680

    Hello! I just bought a new printer hp Photosmart c4680 for iron for transfer on fabric as my previous printer packed. After a few discussions and research, I settled on this one because he supported for transfers and is a brand that I've not used it before. I don't know what to do and how to do it, but I can't cos told me to do is not available; CL 'Advance' in the box 'Features' tab select the 'Mirror Image' checkbox. There are 2 boxes, 1 - 'allow the maximum the DPI setting. 2 "" activate Technologies HP Real Life '. " No MIRROR IMAGE! Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you. AKO.

    Sorry I was wrapped in me lately. Windows XP. I went to considerably emails with HP abuse and their final answer is lower.

    "Please write to the HP customer service.

    I would like to inform you that the printer supports the iron on transfer but the pilot did not have the mirroring of the image feature is why we have suggested you to use third-party manufacturers called Microsoft Office Picture Manager software to reflect the image. "Being an ODP that is not an option for me.

    I have since had their ring for me today to (India)? in the measure and suggests using Microsoft Word. I had previously rang Braintree HP Customer Care and spoke to a technician who, after deliberating with other Tech: says "Mirror Image isn't necessary, just select iron-Ontransfer paper and print normally. Does'nt work.  PICASA Forum suggests:-point culminating pic click > Ctrl-Shift-H to flip horizontal and Shift-Ctrl-V for vertical turning. He worked for some but not for me.

    I have mine by visiting "download.com" chose "free downloads" "mirror image" search and chose "Easyimage" sort.

    Thank you for taking the time for me, hope this might help someone like me who is getting fed up with the problem. AKO

  • Muse randomly crashes when you use the function file/image of place. And is slow!

    Hi guys,.

    I use a MacBook Pro retina i7 with 8 GB of ram. I installed version track Adobe muse and I really love the product so far, except that it blocks a lot randomly, when I sometimes use the file from the location or place the image feature. (Command-D) Muse is also slow. I have some running applications, lots of free space etc but Muse stagnates, hang out and crashes a lot.

    Is there a reason known for this? This prevents me to consider buying the program.

    Help, please

    Kind regards

    Emmanuelle
