  As I did for most of the series view Boot Camp I posted a blog post traces / notes for todays Video Presentation "Delivery Applications."  I don't recommend watching the video of boot camp. The speaker went through today 10 minutes of demos.

• iBooks opens old version of iBooks file exported from iBooks author

  I use iBooks author to create an iBook for my university course.

  At the moment, I'm just making small changes to a near-perfect (ha!) iBooks author file → export to iBooks → check the iBook looks right.

  The problem: when I open the "new" iBook opens an older version from before the new changes in iBooks author.

  I guess that this window iBooks (which displays "All books" and categories of books) maintains the wrong version. I tried to rename the iBook (my thinking that it would be understandable if iBooks has opened an older version if it had the same name). Nope. I deleted the book from iBooks. Nope.

  The only thing I have found to work is to put the iBook on another machine.

  Any ideas please?

  It would be useful that you said your version of the author of the ib.  It is a common behavior of not doing this and makes it much harder to understand.  but since you are a University Professor, and I happen to be in your class, I'll leave you on the other slide you might miss.  I hope that I've hidden my identity well, but you do not have.

  I have to be a bit of a charlie chan and make some assumptions, but as I reread your post, I think I know what you're saying and what is the problem.

  1. you say that you export to ibooks.  What this does is put the .ibooks file, where you choose and that's probably put on your desk or in one of your folders created.  you say that you check the ibook and it looks right.  It was a key piece of information.  you check this exported version.

  2. then, you say you open new ibook and more talk about ibooks window shows all...  I am restore you have now switched to watch your book in the ibook software library.  context is everything.  you did not go to the book on the Bookshelf.  you left it on your desktop, somehow to say.  to get it in your library, use the preview for mac.  Then you can go to the ibooks software and see the current version.

  There is little reason to do these two steps (perhaps probably a few times in a while).  the best in my opinion to just listen to excerpts from mac and check it out via the ibook software.  If students, including me, will look at the book on their iPad, you get a glimpse to the iPad also once in awhile to make sure everything is working it.  who has not worked for me, but it alternates the ways to re.  Tom g., probably the best ally on this site in my opinion, showed me how to do this several months ago.  Once on a mac, you can sync to iPad.  It's a little complicated, but you can understand, and if not, you can always ask.

  hope that my assumptions of how I read your post is correct and you will give me some consideration in my note to help you.  I know I missed a few classes, but it seems that everyone is getting sick in my extended family, I got a few court appearances due to jumping the turnstile, etc and when I appear and was late, trains don't work that well.  the fact that I had a hot cup of coffee in my hand by way of derogation.  I really have to go this class to keep my scholarship.  thanking you in advance.

• My computer was stolen from an authorized Apple store, but the store refuses to adequately replace my computer. What should I do?

  I bought my macbook in-store London´s Regent Street and went to visit Colombia. My computer broke down and so I went in an authorized Apple store, INext in Santa Marta. Here is their website: www.inextstore.com.co

  On 27 January, after three months of waiting for a spare part (who said they originally would take a week or two to find), I was told the part couldn t be found, and they offered to buy me my computer. I said, I think about it but smelled something suspicious, and returned to the store a few days later to get my computer and the money back guarantee, when another Member of staff told me that it had been stolen on 16 January, that is before the day where they offered to buy my computer! This means that during ten days after the flight, they don't warn me the flight and even tried to hide from me. So, I realized that they had lied to me.

  Whatever it is, they offered me a second hand computer to replace my only, but they want to keep the money I paid in advance for the repair, as they claim that my computer was not working. I can't trust them more that they have already lied to me, and they could give me a computer of second hand with no original parts. As of today, they still have the money I paid for the replacement part that never happened and I Don t have a computer.

  Nobody knows, outside to report them to the authorities, if there is anything else I can do? I already wrote to Apple to let them know about the behavior of their authorized dealer, but any additional siggestions would be great.

  It's very awkward, Zorba777.   You talk about a country that does not have the kind of laws for the protection of consumers that you will find in the United Kingdom (or USA).   And I imagine that the legal side would be difficult to implement, too.   Anyway...

  Advisor Apple was a good idea.   Apple needs to know these things.

  If you were there as a tourist, talk to their tourist Office.

  If you have a receipt for any of this transaction and was assured, approach your insurers.

  If this last road is taken, you must first report the matter as the theft to local police (and get a report number).

  Your insurers will require the it.

  I wanted to put a {tag_blogpostauthorbiography} on each blog entry and it have a link to the page about each author of blog.

  However, the Bio field seems to throw any HTML content.

  I don't know if you use the bio text to output field a paragraph of text, then at the end click on the link to authors, but if you try to output a link to the authors page you can just put the CBC in the bio text field (name/authors /), then in the blog of information put to wrap the bio tag with a tag :

  author details
  

  You can then atleast link to the right page.

  I only have the VGA cables, so I don't use DVI or HDMI to connect the monitor to the computer. I was configuring the display on the screen (OSD) when I accidentally went in Source code control Options and change the video source to VGA to HDMI (or DVI, that it is placed directly above VGA).

  By default, auto - switch should be on, but I turned it off a month before. Computer is not affected, control only. I tried Access Source Control Options, but the OSD appears.

  My question is: is it possible to fix this error without buying the other 2 types of cables? Is it possible to open the OSD menu?

  Help with an HP Expert or community will be much appreciated. If you give me more information, I'll be happy to comply.

  Please try to perform a hard reset on your monitor 2311 x;

  1. disconnect the power cord from the monitor.

  2. hold power for 30 seconds.

  3. reconnect the power cord pc.

  This should clear up your video present source question and your question OSD back to factory settings.

• creating a guest computer from Windows XP to Mac OS 10.9.4 stable address?

  I have been using Fusion 5.0 for a few years to create a virtual machine from Windows XP SP3 on my MacBook Pro, and in general things have gone pretty well. Since I only use the virtual machine to run some legacy programs and because these programs do not run on any Windows operating system after XP, I got no incentive to improve anything. Unfortunately, a week before, the virtual machine has crashed in flames and I was unable to save. I was not yet able to reinstall Fusion 5 on existing files, so finally, I deleted all the files merger, following the instructions in the knowledge base. Doing, I discovered a folder titled "Incompatible software", which stated that the Fusion version I was using was incompatible with the version of Mac OS I was running. However, that incompatibliity was found in February 2013, so I think that this was not the immediate cause of the accident.

  Anyway, my question is should I use Fusion 5 or 6 to host my virtual machine to Windows XP SP3 on Mac OS 10.9.4? I still need the existing programs so that I can't use any later version of Windows.

  Because you cannot reinstall Fusion 5, you could try Fusion 7 and see if your XP VM can be retrieved using that, given that the virtual machine crashing in flames, were due to difficulties with Fusion 5 trying to run in the Mavericks rather than something wrong with the virtual machine. Just first to the top of the virtual machine.

  IM currently using Global Domains International as my host. Honestly I don't know if they place restrictions on what you can do, or if there is even a restriction that prevents using things such as php, etc. I ftp through dreamweaver all my sites files, so I do all the codeing handmade by dreamweaver, blah enough tidious. but I prefer to enjoy the work... Should have gone to school for this instead of all the other nonsense that I jumped around through.

• ZumoCast guest post do not install it?

  I am looking to buy a Bionic this week and was looking forward to trying the new Zumocast app on my phone. In preparation, I decided to install on my pc and give it a whirl. Whenever I try to install the windows client I get an error "the installer is about to be suspended for the following reason: the JRE installation was interrupted abnormally" and it cancels the installation. It seems that it is a java problem, so I uninstalled... cleaned all traces of remains and reinstalled Java new java and still get the same message... of ideas?

  So every time I was uninstalling java when I re start my pc an old copy of java 6 was still there. Used a program called javra to remove the remaining java everybit and installed the latest version of it and boom! ZumoCast installed... Thanks for the help man!

  Here is the post from blog by Jari wool, where he showed both freeze headers and freeze columns in the classic report:

  Just download the sample application provided by Jari, upload it to your environment and use it to tabular form (as classic and as a report for the most use of the same model, i.e. the Standard). You can see the working example as well.

  Years ago, I did both the horizontal and vertical gel by twisting Jari earlier blog post.
