  JJ is in New Zealand or Australia and maybe there are CS6 is still available, but if you're in Europe, you will find now buying CS6 almost impossible.   Amazon. You have buyer protection and their customer service is excellent. I tried Acrobat 9 for my Mac and it installed without any problem of license and I was able to upgrade.  This is a clean license.

  In CS4 or CS3 would be best. They are PPC/Intel so if you throw your PPC, you can install it at least on a Mac Intel.

  You can download the installer for OS X directly from Oracle. Be sure to uncheck everything installs 'optional' which can appear at the beginning (I think on Windows it wants to install McAfee trial or the toolbar Bing - not really malware, more as desired and useless crud-ware).  I have a course Java JRE install on my MacBook Pro retina like some internal tools we have developed to work are currently java and I use a tool of u. Toronto called CytoScape is Java.  Sites Web will use Java Script, a very different beast and does not require a full Java or JRE install.  But with Java/JRE installed, just be sure of the source of any software that you download and install that is java based (as you should with all the software that you put on your machine).

Purchase CS6 is not very different from a subscription that is given as the name of screen Test said above, it's basically 7 years subscription paid upfront and there is no guarantee that it will run on whatever legacy operating systems are still there then...
