By clicking on any object takes 3-5 seconds to select in 2014 CC
Just updated for Adobe Illustrator CC 2014.
Whenever I click on any object (text, images, forms, etc.) there is a huge delay of 3-5 seconds until the object is selected. In which I get the rotation beach ball.
Is there a way to solve this problem or downgrade to Illustrator 17? This makes the application unusable if I can't choose anything.

The problem is caused by a program called RightZoom. RightZoom for Adobe apps deactivating solves the problem.

I am running Win7 on VM Fusion Version 6.0.3 (1747349).
I have 4 GB of RAM and 8 hearts dedicated to the virtual machine. The virtual machine is running out of Boot Camp and is installed natively on the Mac (although in this case I'm passing by Fusion on Mac). It works well, except for one thing. If I right click on the Windows desktop, I get the rotation wheel Windows of death for about 10 seconds, then finally the right click menu will appear. I tried different things like disable 3D graphic acceleration and put Windows in Visual mode 'high performance '. Nothing works so far. It seems that something is happening with the Nvidia driver when I look in the performance / CPU monitor for the period of said spinning wheel.
Any clues on this?

1 set the registry keys determine programs associated objects 'Répertoire', 'Drive' and 'File' to the default values by using the settings found here: http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\2. If you want to have permissions for group 'Users' to read all these keys in the registry. For some reason any access worked only partly for standard users.
Not sure who finally solved this problem, but after I had finished 1. and 2. for the purpose of 'Record', by clicking on 'My computer' and any folder works normally for all users of the computer.
I suspect that some recent installation of program which adds actions associated with these objects messed up the registry. Suspects are Norton Antivirus and dbPowerAmp.

Cannot move any object in Adobe Muse
All of a sudden every time I try and move any object - image, text etc. box... I get this error... and when I click OK, the program stops. Makes it really hard to actually do any work.
I tried to uninstall Muse and put it back - I've tried it in different sites, I'm working on and I get the same error every time. NDMI/nativeDragEventHandler TypeError: Error #1009: cannot access a property or method of an object error null reference seems to affect a lot of people, but I have not seen any real resolution... someone at - it something to recommend?
It's Adobe Muse CC 2015.0.2.4 running on Mac OS X 10.11.3...
Any help would be great appreciated!

This error comes when something's not the Drag of Mac event handler.
Restart the machine should solve the problem.
If the problem persists after restarting, please let me know.

Absence of any (other) cause/cure, try the list:
Sometimes, (some) things may fail or stop working for no apparent reason. When (other) possible reasons/remedies do not work, it is perhaps a kind corruption (temporary or permanent), or even preference settings which disturbs, which can be cured with something on the following list put in place in order to provide a catch-all solution for otherwise intractable cases. It starts with a few easy suggestions and safe) 1 and 2) for cases less serious and goes two ways 3) and 4) to reset the default preferences (easily but irreversibly and more laboriously but more completely and also reversible), then follows a list 5) various other possibilities, and it ends with a complete reinstallation 6). If no other suggestion doesn't work, or if no other suggestion appears, you can start on the list and decide how to go or who can apply.
The following is a general list of things, try when
(A) the question is not in a specific file,
(B) you have a printer installed, connected and turned on if it's a physical printer (you can use Adobe PDF/Acrobat Distiller as a printer by default without the need to have a printer on, of course you will need to specify when you really need print on paper), and
(C) It is not caused by problems with opening a file from external media (see below).
You tried/made some of them already; 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically may be corrupted/inconvenient preferences); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.
If possible / there is, you must record a current work first, of course.
(1) close Illy and open again.
(2) restart the computer (you can make up at least 5 times);
(3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);
4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you can find the file here:

5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);
Even worse, you can:
6 (A) uninstall (check the box to delete the preferences, if any), B) run the cleanup tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC) and C) reinstall. It is important to use this step three way: otherwise, things may persist.

Detect which object is clicked on several objects.
I want to make a game where it randomly generates a map, and players can click on the objects in the map. I want something that can happen to this object and I want the game to detect which item has been clicked and temporarily assign a name to this object so that I can do things for this object, I want the name to crush when I click on an object and want to be able to get back what I've done for other objects. Any help would be appreciated.

What you ask is really: is there a way of mousedown on an object with one of the selection pointers without selecting the object, in order to begin a selection rectangle?
This is essentially what the Lasso selection tool. But it is not rectangular selections and cannot be forced to do so (no 'elastic' modifier as in Photoshop). He also disrespects of clichés, if it's important to what you're trying to do. Nor can he will strive to select entire paths he touches by pressing the Alt key, as can be done with the white pointer.
We could probably expect black and white pointers to work like this:
1. click on an object. (The object is selected.)
2. press SHIFT and mousedown (not mouseup) on the object. (The object becomes unchecked.)
3. start to drag. (Starts a selection rectangle).
But they do not.
Selection of Illustrator pattern is and has always been the worst class among public drawing programs. Needless to multiple tools, badly implemented, that all together can not do a single tool can do in other programs.
Much trouble of selection is avoided in other programs by providing a "touch sensitive" toggle in other words, the ability to define a selection tool to select all its renowned keys, (such as Illustrator) or to select only objects that completely surrounds the marquee.
For a long time, I suggested that we should be able to "convert" any path given to a selection or a path to the Cup. (Illustrator may not correctly cut its own paths, either.)

Hello Piemarblue, this is perhaps a problem with hardware acceleration. try to update your graphics driver, or in case this does not solve the problem, or there is no new version available at the time, disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > General.
