  In my opinion, you should test the USB feature. If you are 100% sure that the USB ports are working well check your mouse or try to use the other.

  As far as I know that not all mobile A200 were shipped with this function called TouchPad/Dual Mode Pad touchpad

  The dual-mode tablet buttons provide many different functions such as:

  1.) button to -> it toggle cursor mode and the mode button.
  When you switch the button mode button flashes blue and the mouse does not work

  (2.)-> volume button increases or decreases the volume of the speakers and headphones

  (3.)-> e-mail button starts you mailbox to receive and send emails

  4.) button ConfigFree -> starts the ConfigFree tool

  5.)-> Windows Vista Photo Gallery button starts the Windows Vista Photo Gallery

  The other three buttons to the bottom of the trim can be configured with different functions.

  I think that FireFox has been updated last night. Since then my central block the mouse function no longer works.
  I have not installed any addons or changed settings either.

  I'm on an iMac ca 2008 and the mouse cursor moves on the screen, but clicking on does not work. No action in any application. Will not open files, no command is executed. • the mouse no longer works in certain combinations of power/multi monitor

  Win 7 32 bit ASUS EEE PC laptop.  Worked normally up to today.

  Battery, mouse (touchpad) works very well.  When I plug in the power supply, the mouse stops (always displays right click context menu).

  By chance discovered that with a second monitor mouse moves ok on battery or AC power.  (I use multiple monitors on a regular basis).

  It seems that no matter how I get to the single monitor on power mode, the mouse stops.  If I am autonomous on battery and add HQ, the mouse stops.  If I have a second monitor attached during an AC, even in single monitor mode (i.e. on the LCD of the PC screen), simply unplug the monitor causes the mouse to stop moving.

  It looks like a problem of "state machine".  As if a program setting got out of sync so that the PC goes in power state AC stand alone, movement of the mouse is disabled.  I'm puzzled - I have never seen anything like this.  I did a system restore to several days ago, with no impact.

  Any ideas appreciated.

  In response to your questions: (1) no change except for a new PSU (which is relevant, as noted below), (2) not built in touchpad Synaptics.

  Thank you very much for your detailed response confirming the troubleshooting steps.  I actually tried these.  It turns out that only this morning that I was able to confirm what the problem was.  As strong as it is to believe, the power supply is at fault, but it's subtle.

  The original forum post does not include the fact that the problem was known then on the campus, which is important.  I have 2 different power supplies (various manufacturers).  Both work very well at home; but one of them the cause of the problem of the mouse on the campus.

  I never heard of such a problem given that the design of power supply is done enough these days, but it appears among the supplies allows something through the computer that inhibits the operation of the mouse.  It is difficult to imagine that this is a power level; Maybe it's a kind of transmission high frequency bearing on the logic of material for the mouse.  When the external monitor is plugged into the campus electronic context changes and the problem disappears.

  For any other person who have this problem I would suggest trying to use the PC on the current in a different location, or use a different power plug at the same place.

  Upgrade to Windows 8 Pro, in Call of Duty Black Ops mouse doesn't seem to work and the cursor is not visible. In call of Duty MW3, the cursor is visible and moves when you move the mouse, but does not change your field of vision (glance). I can left click to shoot and do a right click to aim down the sight, but nothing else.

  I've updated to the latest drivers video card & mouse (mouse comfort 4500) and I tried to get my head around assigning commands to buttons but nothing works when I'm in the game. When you play steam requiring only keyboard commands I have no problem.

  Hi, I found a solution to my problem. Go into Steam and start Black OPS, then press the Alt key and the Tab key at the same time (this reduces to a minimum the program to the taskbar). Then go to the taskbar to maximize the Black Ops. The slider appears and I can play as before. I need to do whenever I want to play Black Ops. I have no problem with Black Ops2. Hope this works for you.

  Hope you can help me with this problem because I believe that I have tried everything I know and my next step is really formatting all the computer again and again without knowing if it will work this time, because that's what I just did, during the upgrade to win 7.

  I have 2 problems:

  When the computer goes into sleep mode and I start it backup - the mouse stops working, unless I have move to another usb port. I get a message on usb can run faster...

  Another problem is a program of freezing at this point as well, this program is Oracle JDeveloper, don't know if that has to do any?

  I tried to update ALL the drivers of toshibas webpage - these problems still...

  Can you please tell us which version of Windows 7, you have installed? I mean if you have 32-bit or 64-bit.

  Is it just that you use an external mouse?
  The touchpad works after sleep mode? If so I think that it s something wrong with the external mouse maybe.

  By the way: make sure that you use the latest version of the BIOS. You can find it on the page of Toshiba.

  And as for the question of the Oracle, I think you should communicate directly with Oracle support. ;)
