• Several Sources of data in a single logical table

  I'm new to OBIEE and I encountered a problem. I apologize if this information is in the forum somewhere, but I've searched and can't find it.
  
  My situation is that I would have a logical table that contains multiple sources of data, which all have the same columns. I already have the configuration of session variables to differentiate the security of the user through the variable for a specific column and a session variable to another column that determines the association of the user with the data source to which they belong to. This security works well when the data sources are separated in the business model and mapping party, but the question that arises is that the user cannot share reports when data sources are separated in the BM & M.
  
  I slipped and fell on a table in the physical model to the BM & M, I dragged then the second source of data (with the same meta data structure) on the "Sources" folder in the first data source table into the BM & M. on the content tab or each table data source, I've defined as WHERE clause where VALUEOF (NQ_SESSION. ("" SCHOOL session variable ") is my filter in the column and VALUE (NQ_SESSION. ("" GROUP filter ') is my critical data source:

  Unfortunately that returns the values in the BI responses for the first drag and drop material table in the BM & M layer and not the second drug physical table in the folder 'Sources '. I also tried to create a new logical table and drag two tables in the "Sources" folder without success. I have experimented with the Fragmentation in the tab "Content" of the separate logical tables, checking the "this source must be combined with other sources at this level", which gives me an error in the responses of BI that there is no such thing as a column which has really.

  Do not check the box "this source must be combined with other sources at this level", otherwise, it will always take the first logical table source. If you need to get rid of the error message. Are you sure that you have mapped all the columns on every logical table source?

• Several sources of data for Dimension - Fragmentation

  I have a requirement where I have 2 tables to a dimension, say a customer table. Table Customer has information for all customers except those that begin by me '. Customer_M table has information for all customers whose names begin with M. when I pull the measure by the fact, he should get the customer information in the tables.

  It is how I implemented: in the layer physical, I defined the relationship between the customer 1) and done and 2) Customer_M done. In the MDB layer I had imagined a dimension for customer (Customer_id, client_name - columns) as well as the hierarchy.   I have 2 queries to be one with the Customer table and the other created with Customer_M table, both to be United. But I don't have a single application with the client.

  I tried to implement the content of Fragmentation as well as data source with a check mark on "this source must be combined with other sources at this level." It does not work.

  What I am doing wrong.

  Usually the Fragmentation is to go when sources with the same structure and with different data, in your case I don't see same structure.

  This might be the reason why you're not able to get as expected.

• Placing several sets of data on a graph (LabVIEW for Excel)

  I read in a 2D array (first rank values of the x axis, 2 values for the value axis in line, 30 columns) of a number of excel files. With each iteration of my loop for example, I read in 1 all of these 2D table data, and I'm tracing the curve (using Excel Insert graphic) before I close this file and move to the following.

  I want, however, must be able to generate 1 chart at the end with all sets of data together. So far, whenever I'm iterating, new data erased the old, and in the end I only get 1 set of data (the last game) on the 1 graph.

  I searched through the Forum similar topics, but 1) I have all my data read or typed into a nice big table, they come in the iterations instead, 2) my data values do not share the same values for the x axis, while the beach is almost the same (from 0 to 1) and the number of data points is always 30 (3) I don't think I can use shift registers because all my data is obtained in my loop, when I open Excel (also in the loop) files and read them, so I did not 'Original data' to initialize the shift register.

  Any suggestions on how I was able to read the data, graphics, read the new data, then graph on the same graph without losing my old data?

  You may need to force your data to have the same category axis.

  Another option would be to insert data in excel instead of a graph. From within excel you could have a set graph in place who knows where the X values and are there for each data set and it will draw it automatically.

  You can also try messing around with the Graph.vi of update to Excel.

  I had limited success with the Excel update Graph.vi, but worth a visit.

• "BOLD" is supported by two streams of source with data source?

  I created a data source with two streams of source - one for audio and one for video. During the init data source, the streams of the two sources are created. When dataSource.start () is called, my application call start() of the two source Brooks.  When the player calls getStreams(), the soft returns an array containing the two water courses.

  However, once started, the player only calls the first stream's read() method. In other words, the read() method second flow is never called.

  Are several stream source by source of data supported by RIM, in particular on "BOLD"? I tested on v4.6.0.304 9000 "BOLD".

• Comparing two sets of data in BPEL

  There is a web service that provides (and is the source of) data, and a table that is independent of the service that contains the same data. I am writing a 11g BPEL process to synchronize the data that is returned by the service with the data in the table. I invoke the database and service adapter to receive a data collection and I need to compare two sets of data to see what is on the whole of the service data that is not in the set of data in the table, so that I can insert them into the table. I also need to compare the values of the data sets possible updates of already existing records. I don't know how to do it though. I thought using a java embedded activity to compare the two games. What is the best way to do it? Examples of code would be much appreciated.

• How to load several columns of data into Essbase

  When yo reversed your essbase data model in the RKM there will be an option called SEVERAL COLUMNS of DATA (no default value), this must be set to yes. Then, there are 2 other options that need to be addressed DATA_COLUMN_DIMENSION which is the name of the dimension that you load multiple values to in your case period. Then in the next option DATA_COLUMN_MEMBERS specify you a comma list of members separated... column data required i.e. Jan, Feb, Mar etc. Now when you reverse the model, you will have several column data members

  Being new discoverer but familiar with most large tools like Cognos, BO BI, MicroStrategy etc, I have a question about the generation of reports with multiple data sources. Can the discoverer be directed towards several databases (for example MS SQL and Oracle) to a single report or the semantic layer? If I want a report on the activities of the client and a part of this activity is in each database, I can join the database tables (4 or 5 or N number of tables) on the appropriate identification fields and create a single layer for the writers of the report to look? How many sources can I enroll?

  Hello

  Discoverer uses a Layer (EUL) of the end user who is a semantic layer for reports and is stored in a set of tables in an Oracle database. The only way that discoverer may report multiple sources of data is to use a configuration of database links in the Oracle database that point to other data sources. You can then select the data sources when you map files in the EUL. Once files are set up you can report it to the coast of multiple data sources.

  We have a very large (> 50) team of developers who work on PL/SQL.
  As and as new improvements/fixes are tested successfully, DBA migrates the new source code for DEV to QA, then the PROD instance.
  
  Very often, the developers are invited to check if the source code migrated to the instance target is the right. This Yes, because we use an automated migration tools... .and sometimes DBA can make mistake in migrating the wrong version (say a beta code).
  
  So that developers are left with comparing the source manually or by using the file compare tools... a very tedious job.
  (I know not a strict discipline to keep a barrette and version will help you; but we have a lot of existing code that does not adhere to this rule)
  
  So, is it possible to do ' intelligently '... I thought of a way to get the code of HASH/HASHKEY of all lines of source code of a procedure or a pkg and then again to get the HASHCODE/HASHKEY of all codes/HASHKEYs of lines of source for a particular package. to get a unique HASHKEY for a pkg... .and then I can compare this HASHKEY of 2 bodies... and they are same, means the code is the same... Otherwise, the code is different

  Using a HASH to check if the two sources are the same would be a valid way to do a quick check, although it will obviously not be to tell you where the differences are.

  In Oracle 10 g, you can use the DBMS_CRYPTO package to generate HASH values...

  We use this method to detect changes in the data where exist CLOB columns (because we cannot use set operators of SQL on CLOB).

• Error handling in QMH projects with several sources of error

  Hi guys,.

  I have a head scratcher:

  QMH architecture, I have a state machine that describes a certain task of legislation on different instruments.

  Each of these instruments has its own message loop vi management and each of these loops could cause errors.

  I want to pass these errors to the state machine (VI main if you want) in order to take appropriate action or - at least - inform the user what the error instrument came. Currently, I use a global variable for each error source and merge errors in primary VI.

  Problem: Multiple errors, only the one connected to the first entry of the fusion VI errors is displayed.

  What is the best way to get errors from several sources to level superior screw and keep all the error information for debugging purposes?

• Speed up the transfer of data from Excel

  In my VI, I need the contents of 3 Excel files. The VI then takes in the filter criteria and uses them to filter all the data and produce graphs. Problem is that all 3 Excel files are more than 8000 lines deep and wide of 40 columns. She takes super long to get the data from one of these worksheets, nevermind 3.

  IM only starting this project, so I wanted to find the best way to address the issue.

  Is it possible to quickly transfer all the data from Excel to LabVIEW?

  If I read once and then writes it to a binary file for quick access, which would be better?

  I'm under that LabVIEW 2009 on Windows XP with report generation tool installed too.

  Am here with a problem by adding data to excel from top to bottom.

  I have a (string) of the data that should be updated in excel from high to low format.

  Suppose, for example, I have total 5 values to be updated, first value will be updated in the normal method and the second data that adds to this sheet must be exactly at the bottom of the first data.

  But here the problem is when I get the second data that is placed above the first data in the worksheet!

  Update format: 5 4 3 2 1...

• Export data to Excel does not work in the build (.exe)

  I'm new to LabView 2010, but made a small application which works as expected when run as a VI in the Labview environment. This is a simple data acquisition where the results are displayed in a waveform graph. I used the method "Export data to Excel" to present the request to transfer the results on the chart in an Excel file programmatically.

  However, when I build the application and run the exe, the application works very well outside the export to Excel. Excel does not start, and when I right click on the graph for "export data to Excel" manually, it doesn't work anymore. The data can be exported to the Clipboard and then pasted into Excel, which is doable, but not very elegant solution...

  Any thoughts?

  This issue has been corrected in LabVIEW 2010 SP1.

  If you upgrade to this version, it should do the trick.
