  Is it possible to have two dimesion hierarchys based on a single logical table? Suppose we have the following case:

  I have two tables from different data sources, and an excel file. The tables and the excel file had thousands of records of employees in them.

  I compare data from each table to the records in the excel file. Initially, I used Nested loops to compare values, but it takes a long time to run my code.

  Try something like that.  When you have your query, add a column.  Fill in this column with record figures.  Then make a copy of your request.

  Make a Q Q, where everything is the same except the record number.

• Several sources of data for Dimension - Fragmentation

  I have a requirement where I have 2 tables to a dimension, say a customer table. Table Customer has information for all customers except those that begin by me '. Customer_M table has information for all customers whose names begin with M. when I pull the measure by the fact, he should get the customer information in the tables.

  It is how I implemented: in the layer physical, I defined the relationship between the customer 1) and done and 2) Customer_M done. In the MDB layer I had imagined a dimension for customer (Customer_id, client_name - columns) as well as the hierarchy. Then I added the Customer_M as another data source in the same dimension, mapping the same Customer_id and client_name. I did not the hierarchy when I traced the second data source.

  I have 2 queries to be one with the Customer table and the other created with Customer_M table, both to be United. But I don't have a single application with the client.

  I tried to implement the content of Fragmentation as well as data source with a check mark on "this source must be combined with other sources at this level." It does not work.

  What I am doing wrong.

  Usually the Fragmentation is to go when sources with the same structure and with different data, in your case I don't see same structure.

  This might be the reason why you're not able to get as expected.

  Hello! I am a newbie in scripting Illustrator and I would create a set of labels that are data-driven. The labels must be printed 16 photos per sheet. I got the XML file to work and Illustrator is able to pick up data however it only allows me to change the first label of who. AI.

  I have a question, and even after doing a lot of research on google I couldn't find any article by asking you: -.
  
  I want to create a logical Dimension table
  This logical dimension has columns from 2 different physical tables, TableA and TableB. The relationship between TableA to TableB is 1 to zero.
  
  There are 2 ways to create the logical dimension:--
  1) go to the properties of logical TableA table-> then source it + sign click and then add the right outer join TableB, tableA with.
  We see here a tableA table in the logical table source.
  (2) so that we have 2 logical table source, drag the column tableB.
  
  Please try to explain without using the concept of fragmentation and without taking into account the fact tables. I have a question for the simple logical dimension only tables.
  
  I wanted to know which is the right path and what requirement/factor decides what to do?

  Being new discoverer but familiar with most large tools like Cognos, BO BI, MicroStrategy etc, I have a question about the generation of reports with multiple data sources. Can the discoverer be directed towards several databases (for example MS SQL and Oracle) to a single report or the semantic layer? If I want a report on the activities of the client and a part of this activity is in each database, I can join the database tables (4 or 5 or N number of tables) on the appropriate identification fields and create a single layer for the writers of the report to look? How many sources can I enroll?

  Hello

  Discoverer uses a Layer (EUL) of the end user who is a semantic layer for reports and is stored in a set of tables in an Oracle database. The only way that discoverer may report multiple sources of data is to use a configuration of database links in the Oracle database that point to other data sources. You can then select the data sources when you map files in the EUL. Once files are set up you can report it to the coast of multiple data sources.

• "BOLD" is supported by two streams of source with data source?

  I created a data source with two streams of source - one for audio and one for video. During the init data source, the streams of the two sources are created. When dataSource.start () is called, my application call start() of the two source Brooks.  When the player calls getStreams(), the soft returns an array containing the two water courses.

  However, once started, the player only calls the first stream's read() method. In other words, the read() method second flow is never called.

  Are several stream source by source of data supported by RIM, in particular on "BOLD"? I tested on v4.6.0.304 9000 "BOLD".

• FRAGMENTATION applied on several logical Tables does NOT WORK as expected

  Dear all,

  I have the below scenario implemented that does not work as expected.

  I have a logic Table LT1 (SUN) which is being implemented based on two physical Tables PT1 and PT2 (PT1 and PT2 are DIMS). LT1 has two of LTS, LTS1 and LTS2 implemented PT1 and PT2, respectively. Fragmentation is applied based on the ID of the system Source the PT1 and PT2 are loaded from different source systems. The granularity of the Tables physical is the same.

  Likewise, we have LT2 (DIM), which is implemented in two Tables of physics more and Fragmentation is applied in the Source systems function ID.

  We have an other TIMES DIM on which fragmentation is not applied.

  All of the above tables are linked to the fact (also physical and logical).

  I filter the data for TIME_DIM. Year = 2014 in all scenarios below.

  Scenario1: This solution works as expected when I shoot columns of LT1, SUN as well as the fact of TIME. (YEAR = 2014 is passed in the WHERE clause of queries UNION ALL 2, which is OK)

  Scenario2: This solution is also works very well when I shoot columns of LT2, SUN as well as the fact of TIME. (YEAR = 2014 is passed in the WHERE clause of queries UNION ALL 2, which is OK)

  Scenario 3: When I pull the LT1, LT2, SUN report, done TIME and filter the data for TIME_DIM. Year = 2014, the report does NOT WORK as expected. (Filter on YEAR = 2014 is not passed in UNION All queries in this scenario)

  When I build the model above (for scenario 3) report, it does not go as planned. Do not throw any error, it displays incorrect as results as physical demand generated by the BI server is not correct. Some of the filters is past the TIME SUN are not injected at the request of physics.

  Someone come in this scenario, no solution to the above is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

  This is the bug in OBIEE 11 g of product. Oracle has provided the patch for the same and it is absolutely working fine now.

• How multi Source logical Table would work?

  I am facing a problem with multi Source logical table. Can I build a business model with a Table of logical facts which have two Sources? Taking the low description for example:

  Name of the table	Columns	Description
  Fact	TIMECD (2013Q 101, that meet at Time.TIMECE), the DATA
  Fact_Aggr	TIMECD (2013Q 1, that meet at Time.PERQUARTER), the DATA	Overall table for the facts and the sum of the monthly data to quarterly
  Time	TIMECD, YEAR, SURPASSED, QUARTER, PERQUARTER, MONTH, PARMOIS

  I tried to create a MDB that contains two fact Table in the same logical fact Table. But POET shows the fact DATA, even if I drag PERQUARTER into the report.

  Here's my question:

  1. can I have a logical fact Table that contains facts and of the Fact_Aggr?

  2 How BIEE will determine what DATA should be used?

  Change the right content level, LTS are chosen according to the level of content.

  Level content for LTS Fact_Aggr should be PERQUARTER while LTS for fact should be at TIMECE.

• How to load several columns of data into Essbase

  I need to download a flat in Essbase data file, but this file contains data for each month in a separate column (Jan, Feb and March), it has several columns of data in the source file, while the DATA reversed Essbase data store is a fact with a column of the data table. So I'm stuck on the way in this case to map more than one column of data in the source file to column 1 of the target data.

  When yo reversed your essbase data model in the RKM there will be an option called SEVERAL COLUMNS of DATA (no default value), this must be set to yes. Then, there are 2 other options that need to be addressed DATA_COLUMN_DIMENSION which is the name of the dimension that you load multiple values to in your case period. Then in the next option DATA_COLUMN_MEMBERS specify you a comma list of members separated... column data required i.e. Jan, Feb, Mar etc. Now when you reverse the model, you will have several column data members
