  Hello!  I'm new to this forum and I have what may be a crazy question.  I am wanting to know if there is a way to power on my Acer C710-2487, without having to manually push the power button on the Chromebook itself which is in the House of my HDTV.  Can it be turned on by a keyboard shortcut or otherwise with my mouse?

  I have a wireless keyboard and mouse that work very well with the Chromebook connected to HDTV.  I know that I can turn it off using my mouse, so this isn't a problem.  Just wondering if there could be a way to turn it on without having to walk across the room.  Thanks for any help on this.

  In view of the upgrade of my Acer Chromebook C710-2055, who currently owns the original 4 GB RAM, 8 GB (2 X 4 GB) of Kingston Value RAM 1333 MHz PC-10600 Non - ECC CL9 SR X 8. I have two questions:

  Well, I decided to go ahead with it - small drops & dropper of information I picked up here and there that I have sought advice, I'm sure the C710 will address additional memory, and that the modules of memory, I selected will work.

  Funny the lack of information about this for this popular model of Chromebook, even on this Acer forum! Looks like someone would know enough about the chipset and so forth to find out. I should install them Wednesday, and I will check back with the results. Maybe I'll make a new message with a title that is obvious if you're looking for similar information in the future people can find easily.

• C710-2847 No Bootable Disk

  Lost my OS a few days ago. Downloaded the recovery of BONES at Google feature and even installed on the C7 and deleted the USB key. The system restarted, but I still had no OS work. Type key TAB and learned that I have no boot disk.

  So either the disc SSD has gone wrong or has been disconnected. I'm out of warranty, and I can't imagine that it would be profitable to send the machine in for repair when I can get a new a good FRY walked. I fix it myself or I buy a new machine.

  So I have 2 questions:

  (1) someone has a link to a diagram of the rear of the machine so that I can try to reposition the SSD and then try to start the machine?

  (2) I don't remember if I have a 16 or 32 GB SSD. If the SSD is bad, can I just switch to one of greater capacity? If PON, is there a limit on how high can I go?

  I maybe confiusing models, but I thought that the C710s came with a standard 2.5 "HD. Once you get off the bottom cover (many, many small screws), it should be obvious. You will have access to HD, memory modules and others.

  I bought an Acer C710 for my 83 yo Mama and it has worked well for well over a year.  We have recently added an external monitor and a keyboard for ease of use.  After a day, she suddenly lost the wifi signal.  I have a new Asus router that has been in place for about 6 weeks with no problems.

  When I put the unit near the router it connected no problem, but when I return it to its original location he sees the router, but it is out of reach.  I brought my iPad to the same location to see if it was indeed a router problem, but the iPad connected without problem.

  I can move the router with a lot of noise... Drill a hole in a cement wall to move more close but does someone at - there another solution?

  I think I found the solution.  After investigating the causes of the wifi disconnect with external monitors, it appeared that change the router channel could remedy the problem.  My Asus is set to Auto and I changed it to channel 11.  So far, keyboard and external monitor is connected to the Chromebook and wifi has still a strong signal.  No apparent problems with my other two computers.  I'll keep my fingers crossed!

• I just bought a Brother L2305W AirPrint laser printer.

  I just bought a Brother L2305W AirPrint laser printer.  It is connected to my router Netgear N600.  My Dell, my IPad Air and my Android phone, visit the network, the printer.  Print everything to it without any problems.   My Acer C710 Chromebook does not see the Brother printer.

  I have read and passed the instructions of Chromebook and brother several times, but the utilities never find the brother printer.  Chromebook will print to a PDF file.  I think I must be missing some piece of info as the Chromebook and printer seemt to work properly.  Any help or idea please!

  I finally solved the problem.  I had to save the printer from a Microsoft Windows computer.  Google browser where you normally register a Cloud Print printer (manage settings, advanced settings, Google Cloud Print,), still has not seen the printer even if 10 of Microsoft Windows and IE Explorer saw the Brother printer as the default printer. First I made sure that I was connected to my Google account.  Still does not see the printer on Google Chrome.  Then I went to https://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/printers.html# clicked on the tab "Try it Now".  Voila!  First time something named "Chrome" given the printer.  I chose the printer and the printer wireless now working on all of my devices.
