  I installed the update to iTunes (Version 12.3.3) on my MacBook Pro. However - now iTunes won't sync with my iPhone 6. The color wheel continues to turn but will not connect with my iPhone.

  My iPhone and MacBook have all proposed updates. And work well independently. (Note: iTunes doesn't seem to work a little more slowly than previous versions.)

After that I changed all my settings in iTunes to my new location, whenever I have to download any application on the App Store for the iPhone and later when I sync it, these applications do not appear in the library even after the option "transfer purchases".
  Any help would be appreciated, I mean that I can deal with it now. But when I buy a new phone and need to transfer the data, I assume that these applications will not be supported if I would lose all of its data.

  With iOS apps 9 is most exemplary support of a device, probably due to a new developer feature called "thinning app" (which means that only that which is required by an application on a particular device are downloaded to this device). • "Transfer purchases" does not work

  Impossible to use the function "transfer purchases" using the iTunes program independently to know if I try to do it by using the 'Sync' option when you're connected to my PC or the ' transfer of files/devices/purchase"option."

  This problem exists on my laptop AND my desktop computer.

  All other functions work correctly. All purchases appear in the "cloud."

  If the option is there in iTunes, what's wrong?

  A feature introduced with iOS 9 called thinning or slicing app app allows each device to download just the code and resources required by this device, resulting in smaller downloads and a better use of the storage on the device. Therefore the device is no longer the universal version of the application that can be installed on any device to transfer applications is no longer supported. I hope that Apple will bring some changes to how it works, but in the meantime, you can download past purchases from iTunes or activate the automatic shopping app downloads to ensure that iTunes has always the apps you want on your device. As long as you make sure that all of the apps are present and updates in iTunes before you attempt a restore there should be no loss of data. I cannot confirm, but it seems a way to recent update all data are restored and apps that are not in the library are waiting to download from the iTunes Store over Wi - Fi, in a similar way to the restoration of the iCloud way works.

  Hello world.  I have an ios application that are not re - download in the app store specifically TUBE DOWNLOADER (D/L) by Apps2be. I don't know why this particular application has been removed in my itunes library.   I got a new Ipad pro and I want to install this application.

  Now, I always have in my iphone app.  Is it possible to transfer this app from my iphone to itunes library?  Or maybe a way to transfer this app from iphone to my new ipad pro directly using a third party mac app.  Moreover, the two devices are running in ios 9.2.

  New "App thinning" with iOS9: to make smaller applications, they are been customized for specific hardware when you download Apple directly on a device with iOS9. Applications downloaded directly to an Apple device may no longer work on any other type of device. Apple has decided there is no point of synchronization to a computer, because each device should ideally get a customized version directly from Apple. If you want a backup copy on your computer you can transfer a version non-diluted directly from the computer store that has you need may be transferred to any device-i (but will take more space).  You should have transferred the app at a much earlier stage as part of a regular backup procedure.

  I bought a few songs via my iphone years (via itunes) and I can't find the files on my PC (windows 10). I've already tried

  "File > devices > transfer purchases"[device name]"- twice - and it did not work." they appear in itunes (office) or my music folders. I checked to make sure that these were in fact on my phone and not only in the cloud. they are.

  I'm afraid sync my phone now. I don't want to lose all the songs. they were purchased legitimately, I should get to have the files.

  (update: also, I went to the itunes store (office) and found the missing songs under "bought"., but there is no icon of clouds, little "Download" beside them. seriously, these files are still on my phone, I can play them. apple knows that I have purchased. they do not seem to give me a way to re-download them.)

  I never use itunes to buy a song once again. Ugh.

  OK, I finally solved it.  Because the song was still in my library (with the little exclamation "missing" next to it), itunes wouldn't let me to re - download. so I deleted it. Then I could go to "purchased" in the itunes store and finally re - download the song. Ugh, it's so boring, but I'm happy that I found the solution!

  (PS: I've also learned that if the song is no longer available on the itunes store, you can not download. that does not apply to me, but it might shed some light for others.)

  Have you tried to run iTunes by holding down the Option key? Select "choose library" then go to the external HD and the iTunes folder there. You should get the option to open it.
