• Captivate 5 text-to-speech on Win7 - x 64

  Everyone here has correctly installed and used the NeoSpeech and Loquendo voices on a Windows 7 64-bit system?

  I work with the paid version of Captivate 5 (in English). I ran the installer on the DVD and see the voice in my intervention Management window. I can choose one of the voices (Paul, Stefan, Kate, etc.) and click on generate Audio. An audio file is generated, but whatever the choice, the voice always seems the same. I don't know if I'm hearing Microsoft Anna or - maybe - it's Kate. My guess is that it is Anna (the voice of integrated system).

  I uninstalled, run Adobe, reinstalled everything several times with reboots abundant Cleanup utility.

  I then asked a colleague to install Captivate 5 and voice on his machine. She reported the same results: the same audio female is generated little matter of what voice my colleague selects in the response management window. It turns out that his system is also a 64-bit Windows 7 computer.

  I installed a program called natural reader, which reads the text using different voices, so that you can hear what is on the page rather than just read it.   It seems that the settings are correct in the text to speech Audio settings.  I understand that the speech/headset is checked (default device).  You can try to speakers as default device (green check mark on the speaker) and check if you are able to hear the text when you click voice overview through the PC speakers.

  You can try some video effects... harvest or a linear wipe should work. for the linear wipe, you may need to change the angle of-90 to your situation.

  I have this weird error. I have the audio text to speech in my classes. I don't want the PlayBar of captivate. So I have buttons in the content to navigate forward. Each slide is hanging out and waiting for the user to click on the buttons navigate forward. My sound works for the first 2 slides text. Otherwise said, he plays as in the timeline and then stops. Waiting for the user to click on the button before you go to the next slide and the same routine. But after 2 blades, it will not stop.   One way is to create a clip made up based on the title and the original clip. Then apply the effect.

  Another way is to use an adjustment layer.

  In v5.6.1 Pages and releases from previous pages, the text-to-speech feature can pause via the Edit: speech: stop talking about the menu item. However, speech will take not from where it was suspended, but at the beginning of the document, or text selection. No solution for that.

  However, you can create a script Automator single action that will transform all text selected in a Pages document in an audio file on the desktop. That support good break and resume simply control-click audio file icon.

  1. In your Dock, click on Launchpad (rocket icon)
     1. Select other, and then the Robot Automator.
  2. When the launches of Automator, select New Document: Service: choose
  3. Locate the music library from the Automator library entries
     1. Drag and drop the text to the Audio file action to the right in the bigger window of workflow
     2. Drag and drop the encoding to MPEG Audio action below the previous action
     3. Use the settings in the screenshot accompanying as a guide. I have deliberately omitted an extension of file name for the audio file to the output of the first action it will be applied after the conversion in the second action.

  Follow the steps below to disable text to speech in Windows Vista.

  (a) go to the section on your main screen where you see the time displayed.
