Calibration of the battery

I use a laptop Presario V3777TU and I had replaced my first battery because HP Battery CHeck showed about 35% load capacity and status of replace (sometimes calibrate while loading). I have replace a battery No. 001-418124-2 and the part No. EV088AA. After replacement, HP battery control showed:

LOAD

TO CARRY OUT

There is a calibration status. What should I do? Is the age of the battery watch battery or remaining life age? Should I maintain over 90% charge or should I frequently load and unload to maximize its life?

Please clarify my doubts.

Thank you.

This document explains how improve battery performance and should answer at least some of your questions.

Thank you

  • Pavilion g6-2304au: calibration of the battery

Salvation is my laptop for 1 1/2 years old and just bought a new battery. A connected for about 6 hours then put on the market. A battery has checked with hp support assistant who said battery was in need of calibration. Then turned off, turns back on and press the ESC key. You press F2, then doesn't have battery checked by there who says also required calibration. If you click on calibrate, who asked for cord AC in which I did. It was at 23:00 Went to bed, woke up at 3:30 and it made all the checks hard drive. All had passed, but he still worked long dst end of hard disk checking. Calibration of the battery said 20% discharge. Check again at 08:00 and it was being tested, while the battery calibration said 0%.

Power cord is remained plugged all the time because I never seen a screen saying the device. Now I unplugged it and the % is on the rise and test was not yet finished. Is this OK or something went wrong?

    Hello

The captain had to be disconnected after fully charging the battery, then access the system BIOS test - loop until that error, then reload again in full, finally repeat test battery.

My question is: should I do when my Yoga 2 is connected with on the AC adapter or not? If not, should I do when the battery is at 100%?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, leave it plugged in for calibration of energy Manager. It will be completely unload and then reload automatically during calibration. You can do the day after because it takes 8 hours to complete.

  • Need help with calibration of the battery

    I have a Vn7 - 591 g and it's basically old 1.

My problem is my laptop stop without noticing low battery notification and without any warning since I updated my windows 10 November pro build.

First, it would close down to the level of 15% without indication battery and then I looked at here and there and find the calibration procedure as I tried battery as the load calibration procedures to 100% in stop and go in safe mode and let it drain and recharge again, after the fact that now he stops at the level of battery by 30% or 25% without notice or warning.

I tried battery reset thing pinhole also as suggested somwhere in this discussion.

One thing I noticed when I put my laptop power in High-Performance option, low battery, that it just goes right into hibernation but when I plug in the AC adapter it shows battery 0% or 1%, and perception.

so is it problem in my battery or Power Options or the problem is another?

Any help will be appreciate and please answer quickly because I am sad with this problem. It is a one year old laptop around, I bought new.

    Hello

Well, the wear level is quite high for a laptop one year old. Do you often use on the farm?

It is interesting that hwmonitor reads the same amount as that of windows, stop so suddenly, because of the battery not calibrated... I don't think so. It may be the case even if the PCI that controls the battery charging does not correctly read the State. That would mean that you would need to change the battery (the peak is on the battery).

You can try to run battery Eater: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/Battery-Eater-Pro.shtml

This software will monitor your battery while meeting and then make a graph of it after a reboot. I don't remember if trace the graph based on the percentage, or the actual capacity of the battery.

You can read more about what the software did here:

    http://Lifehacker.com/5657275/battery-Eater-benchmarks-your-batterys-capacity-so-you-know-what-to-ex...

Also, would probably be a good idea to see if what happens on another operating system as well. For example, you can try to make a USB boot Linux, ubuntu and check if your laptop suddenly stops at the same percentage values. If it is not the case, which is probably something just with windows.

  • Check calibration of the battery via the battery HP method

Right now there a few things I don't understand in the image above.

    1. I did the test of flow twice now and the battery went from 3456mAh to 3878mAh which is still far from the maximum value of 5100mAh. During these tests to calibrate the besise number has increased from 19 to 21. Now the first question is what the '21' actually mean?

    2. I am doing something wrong in the calibration process? I thought I would once and then I would get the battery to its full potential.

Notice that I've never calibrated at 1.5 years (since the day I bought it) and battery spent 4hours in 2 hours and 45 minutes.

    3. How will I be able to have two batteries? I checked the back, the bottom, the sides, but I can't find anything that would indicate to anywhere I might be able to put a battery additional in. (model HP ProBook 6450 b)

Finally is there anything else I can do to calibrate more fast than to do this test even over and ovr again until I've hit 5100?

    Thanks in advance!

Edit: Now 20 minutes later after having disconnected the charger, I get higher mAh values which means that something went right, but I don't know what. 13% / 700 mAh jump is quite important.

I have done this correctly and managed or?

Edit 2: As I write this just cut HP Battery Check gain 700mAh 400mAh I just got I get really frustrated and confused

    Hello

Each battery is sooner or later going to the end.

Why you have different values and the lack of true valuation.

After my experience, I can tell you that battery is unable to balance the level of real life at the specified level, and it is 'normal '. That's why you see what you see. Common calibration accelerates only the end of battery life.

See page 30 of the guide service from your cell phone here. It will show you where you can connect the second battery.

  • Laptop HP 2000-2d39WM (EN: I need to know if the battery needs to be replaced.)

Okay, I need on the front straight I can eventually get an answer.  I had a problem in a few months with my battery. Initially, I noticed that he cleared without warning me of a critical battery level (I immediately took it as malware so I did some tests and it came negative.) I watched a lot of videos on the calibration of the battery and tried all the solutions with it. I went into the system diagnostics and ran a test of battery - it came up as being SUCCESSFUL - and ran his 4 hour battery calibration. I even did the calibration of the battery of the HP Wizard and rolled up with various results several times; the first photo was taken about 3 weeks before today, as the next was taken earlier.
A few things to mention, is that he died with the adapter removed about 10-15 minutes later; the laptop works perfectly well with the trendy adaptar. I also tried removing the battery, now the start 20 seconds button and so on (an interesting note with this is he actually went to sleep the first before shutting down completely when having done this). In addition, the battery indicator appears spasmodically spaz out with what it is charged exactly. Earlier, I had done a calibration of the battery and then started the laptop, at 8 minutes, the battery has dropped from 95% to 20% instantly. Then, when the power adapter is plugged in, it went straight to 100%, what has happened several times.

I need to replace this battery?

I think that Betsy would confirm that she is ready for a new battery. What else do you think it would? When you hear hoofbeats think horses, not zebras. By I mean the obvious response is almost always good, and it is certainly possible to way resist it.

  • Replace the battery on a computer pavilion laptop 1202sr g6

I want to replace the old battery with a new one. On the regulatory model battery is REPLACEMENT-YB0W. Is it possible to replace it with a battery with the regulatory model REPLACEMENT-UB0W number or not?

They look absolutely identical, power and voltage on both batteries are the same, too.

3-4 years is a long, he could be dead in the sea.

You could do a battery test on this one from HP support assistant or the system BIOS battery diagnostic test,

    http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay/?spf_p.tpst=kbDocDisplay&spf_p.prp_kbDocDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c00821536-24%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken

But, you can use both of those in your system.

Do a calibration of the battery manually to make the system to know the exact level of the use of the battery every 2 months, you have to do this once you get your new too.

  • Evil indivcation of the status of the battery

    The President complied,

I use the computer E-015tx hp pavillion laptop and bought another two months. I have problem about the State of the battery. Earlier, the laptop gave the warnig of battery indication if the battery was remaning 15%. But today the laptop does not have the warning of the remaning battery 15% (low battery) and the laptop goes into mode 'sleep' if the State of the battery is less than 40-50% and laptop does'nt until I plug my charger.

It seems that the first point of departure would be to test and calibrate your battery.  Please use this document to test and calibrate the battery in Windows 8

Let us know what that said the test, and if after calibration of the battery it shows specifically how much time is left for the battery to be used.  Who is?

  • Y40 - 80 randomly turn off. The battery calibration has not fixed the problem of battery meter.

    Hello

I've had this Y40-80 during about 9 months and it has recently been acting strangely. The laptop will stop randomly. I thought that it was a sign, I had to calibrate the battery but after I had calibrated the battery, the battery meter percentage remained at 100% for a good 2 hours until it starts to decrease.

Now, I tried to recalibrate the battery for 5 times using the howtogeek, OneKey and the discharge of the BIOS. I did a fresh install of Windows to get rid of all the software Lenovo that might have caused the problem, but that did nothing.

I also uninstalled the Windows ACPI and Lenovo ACPI, which does not solve everything.

This issue makes the computer laptop underclock the processor environ.48 Ghz, which makes the computer almost unusable.

Someone have an idea on how to solve this problem, or is the battery dead?

In response to customer relationships of unexpected behavior portable Y40 - 70 and Y40-80 meter battery, Lenovo has determined that the battery meter software is working as expected. The unusual calibre results being reported are the reflection of the battery reaches the end of life.

Lenovo has launched a CUTTING-EDGE Service to help customers get the battery replacement under warranty, or if more warranty, find a spare from suppliers approved by Lenovo battery. The Service TIP can be found here: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/sf16-I0023

The numbers for Y40-70/80 batteries are:

    Y40 SP / A L13M4P01 7.4V48Wh 4cell IBE (Y40-70/Y40-80) 121500248

    Y40 LG L13L4P01 7.4V48Wh IBE 4cell (Y40-70/Y40-80) 121500249 replace the 121500251 part

To determine what battery supplied with your computer laptop Y40, instructions to remove the lower cover can be found in the manual of Maintenance of equipment pdf here. An alternative to opening your system (which do not cancel warranty) is to find batteries using the product/model number located on the bottom cover.

  • If I do not charge my laptop right when I get it, is what destroyed the battery?

My friend had recently got a new MacBook Pro (early 2015) 13 "and it does not load right when he got: but rather let die down and then accused, but he now tells me that it has damaged its battery when I don't see much of a difference compared to my computer. (MacBook Air 11 '' beginning 2015) I found it went down by 1% every 5 minutes and go down 1% every 6 minutes. It would be great if someone could tell me if it's just a myth that I shouldn't trust or if he really did something wrong, and what to do about it. Thank you.

Depleting layer completely the charge and recharge to full load, is what is called the battery calibration.

New type of batteries installed in new models of Mac Laptops don't need calibration.

Impoverishing the layer one or twice the charge wouldn't harm to the battery.

But please do not repeat this.

Depleting the load completely can have an effect on the battery life.

There may be other reasons why the Mac has the problem you describe.

  • Portege Z30T.-a. -from the battery shows "fair."

    I recently bought a new PORTEGE Z30T-A PT24CE-01600EN5 a few days ago

It is pre installed Win7 and I upgraded to:
Microsoft Windows OS Version 8.1 Pro 6.3.9600 with their CDs

In any case under PC Health monitor battery health shows always fair.
I just bought it and I'm a little leery because I had TOSHIBA PORTEGE Z930 before and even after a year, he showed for the battery.

What is a normal situation? Could check you your if you have a similar model?

A new laptop and I take the battery isn't calibrated correctly and therefore it does not reach the full charge capacity.
You will need to calibrate the battery charge and discharge until it would be entirely empty.
Repeat this procedure three four times in the line and then check the status of the PC monitor once more.

It is a few months old... I think it can be calibrated

Can someone please tell me how to recalibrate the battery.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

You can calibrate the battery very easily.
Disconnect the power adapter and leave the laptop disconnected until the battery is completely discharged.
Then plug in the power adapter and charge the battery until the battery indicator (LED) would turn to green.
This must be done and repeated 2 - 3 times in the line.
