Camera not working - seems to have disappeared?

Hello - I searched for this question but couldn't find answer to my question. I get the message 'no camera not connected' when I connect to Photobooth and tried "sudo killall" stuff but keep not getting the error "no matching found process."

I then had a glance system information and under camera, it says "no video capture devices found '.

My camera has been removed? My son pulled the macbook on the floor the other day and I thought that he had escaped unscathed but wonder if he has fucked the camera?

I'm on a retina Pro 15-inch early 2013, 2.7 GHz, 16G if this is helpful to all.

One of them will solve your problem of camera:

(1) If your Mac restart does not solve the problem,

(2) use http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2090 from Apple.

(BTW - troubleshooting section called an "iSight" camera.  However, after that article was published, Apple has changed the name of the built-in camera on the recent "iSight" Macs "FaceTime", then "FaceTime HD."  Whatever the name of your built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)

Be sure to test several Apple app (photo booth, FaceTime, iMovie, QuickTime Player, etc.) in more than one user account.  Do NOT use the 'Guest' for this test account.  If you don't have more than one user account for testing, create one now.  If you need help, how is explained in http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201754.

A 'Standard' user account is all you need for the tests.

(3) If your camera will work correctly even with Apple applications, use OS X Recovery to completely reinstall your Mac OS since system recovery stored on your startup disk.  Don't bother test Skype or other 3rd party apps until you have your camera works with applications Apple.

(4) If none of the suggestions above resolve your issue, contact Apple or one of the Apple-Authorized Service Provider to have your Mac professionally repaired. Don't forget to back up your Mac and Deauthorize iTunes before the call for tenders for the service.

Lack of Information system to recognize your camera is normally an indication of a hardware problem.  There is no serviceable parts by the user of the camera to the Mac.  With the help of equipment, contact one of the Apple-Authorized Service provider or Apple for service.

    Do not use waterfox, it is not supported and is a non-official version of Firefox that often has known bugs. Downlaod Firefox from www.getfirefox.com, uninstall waterfox, then try again.

    Please check the settings the + sign of-> sound-> reading tab +.

    The speakers should be set as the default device. In my case it s Realtek HD audio device.

    In addition I recommend reinstalling the audio driver. Most of the cases this fix common sound problems

    Because different models of Satellite R830 supports different Wlan cards from different manufacturers.

    Your laptop supports the network adapter Intel wireless (with feature of BT). For cards Intel WLan no Bluetooth filter package must be installed.
    In your case its just to install the Intel Wlan driver, battery Toshiba Bt and the Toshiba system driver

    There are two different versions of Flash. ActiveX for IE version and the version of the Plugin for other browsers. Have you installed the correct version? This forum software is not thing that Flash is installed for Firefox or the Plugin is disabled.

    Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

    Recovery methods:
     
    If you are running XP/SP3, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.
     
    To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.
     
    Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.
     
    In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.
     
    Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.
     
    Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.
     
    First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.
     
    If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.
     
    If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.
     
    If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

    A general warning to help avoid this in the future:
     
    Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages.     ... but could not be bothered to document changes, they went to the URL for the new locations.

    FORMS are always, like REPORTS.

    I'll answer one of your three messages that asked this question.  If possible, please remove the other two.

    Hover and dragging moves the axis as it should.  The cursor turns into a hand to indicate the area brushed, it moves.

    Hover over the pin code, press the Alt/Opt key and drag left and right and the effect will become less and more.   The cursor turns into a two-headed arrow to indicate that the function of the drag has changed.  If you are not hovering over a pin code and press the Alt/Opt, then the cursor turns into a brush to erase to remove the adjustment every time you paint.

    Please try this:-with your PDF document open, click on the "comment section" on the side right of your document, under "list of comments", click the "Filter comments" icon and choose "View all comments" or "hide all comments.

    You may have accidentally hidden albums.  The library panel Inspector hid 'Show' and 'Hide' controls to the right of the titles of 'Albums', 'Projects', etc.  Move the cursor to the right of the title 'Albums' and look if the albums will be displayed, if you click 'Show '.
