Camera Raw open as smart object is not re-opening Camera Raw on double click!

I can't get the Camera Raw dialog to reappear after I open an image as a smart object in Photoshop.

Note that I'm opening Photoshop CS6, no bridge or Lightroom. I use Open as... (Shift-Ctrl-Alt-O), then select Camera Raw in the file Type drop-down list to open a standard PSD file. It happens in the Camera Raw dialog box. After that making edits (and savings as a preset) I SHIFT-click on the CR Open button to change to Open ACE Object.

It happens in Photoshop with the changes. The thumbnail of the layer shows the small icon of the smart object to this topic. But when I double-click on top the dialogue came not from Camera Raw. Instead, Photoshop opens what appears to be a copy built of the original image with no editing. It carries the extension .psd, not the usual .psb extension. In addition, any changes to this document and save it has bizarre results on the original image.

I swear to you that I managed to do work once earlier today, but now he does this again and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I thought that maybe that's a small problem, but rebooting did not help.

Thanks if you can understand this a ton!

Since I realized this file to open a JPG or PNG (and probably a RAW) as Camera Raw works very well. In other words, I can edit in Camera Raw, and then shift-click to Open the Object and the smart object works fine in Photoshop. It's only when I try to open a PSD file type by using the file > open as... (File type: Camera Raw) I get the weird behavior when I opened CR mods as a smart object. Someone know why it works with a JPG or PNG format, but does not work with a PSD file?

AFTER THAT I have the JPG or PNG opened as a smart object, I can then save it as a PSD and smart objects work fine.

Rasterization is to flatten just this particular layer. Since you are using is a smart object, you can double click top in the layer panel and edited directly, or you can rasterize it. It is always better to do a non-destructive editing, so you really need to use a layer mask to remove the background rather than delete it. However, the position of pixelation here is a layer in the menu:

I have been using InDesign for many years. Last week I suddenly discovered that I couldn't open a document by double-clicking on the desktop or wherever it was. Instead, now I have to find the document in the folder it's in, click on it once, and then click file in the bar at the top of the screen, go to open, then it will be open. Any ideas why this happened all of a sudden? In addition, in the bar on the top of a document, I can no longer change the Essentials to advanced or others. Seems to have everything that happened at the same time. Help appreciated please.

First of all: this has nothing to do with InDesign, it has to do with your OS, so second: what operating system? Windows or Mac because to solve this problem, we need to know which. It's your operating system which has lost the connection with your program and document files.

I am running Windows 7 since 12/2010 and have been using office 2007.  06/05/12, I installed office 2010.  Since that time the new excel will not open .xlsx files in Explorer by double clicking on the file name... It was livable, until people began to send me .xlsx files attached to an email and he's trying to open them as pcitures.

Select ".pdf" in the list and click 'Change Program' at the top right and select "Adobe Acrobat".

  • How not to sort datagrid column on double click

    Hello

I'm currently building an application containing a DataGrid for the representation of data. I created a datagridheader custom in order to add an input text for the filtering of the columns (see code below).

My goal is to hide the textinput and then display it on a double click on the header. So I would like to know how to avoid the type of this column whenever I double click. ?

You can use 'alt' or 'Ctrl' click and just check on the event to see if one of these is 'true '.

  • How to open a file by double-clicking in a RUNNING exe built by LabVIEW

I develop an applicationg using LabVIEW. But found some difficulty.
He is an editor, and bind this application to a certain file format.
So I hope that when I double click on this file, my exe will load it. This could be done reading application command line.
But if my exe is runing, I double click on the file, I couldn't get the latest information from command line.

When the exe is running, how Doula click the file to send some kind of info this so the exe exe could open a new one.
How to do this in LabIVEW?

If you use Application Builder to create your .exe and run several instances of the .exe, you can add AllowMultipleInstances = true .ini file in the same directory as the .exe file.

  • music file will not play in second hard drive double click Error "" the requested operation requires a rise ".

Original title: music file won't play second hard drive by double click.

    Windows 7 ultimate/64

I have a second hard drive on which I store my music files. If I open a player (Foobar is what I use now) and open the music file in the program, he plays very well, since the second HD.

But if I double click on the music file (.mp3, usually), I get the message:

"The requested operation requires a rise."

I think it should open in the player by default when I do that.

I remember well, it wasn't the case when I started to use this computer (it's fairly new), while something might have changed.
I have the .mp3, .wav etc all default extensions for the Foobar player program.

I went through elaborate measures to appropriate the entire disk and have granted full permissions for me as a user, following to the letter one of the many sites of the detailed instructions for this operation. But there is no help in sight.
Original title: music file won't play second hard drive by double click

So I can let my reader opens a music file leave a second drive, but I can't call him by double click or click right/context citing the player. When I do that, nothing happens, but I don't get the message "requires a rise."

Every time I think that I am getting to know Windows 7, something like this happens. Avoid to receive life dull, of course.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. I've pretty much exhausted my own attempts.

    Jack

Update: I think I've solved the problem. I have no idea that what caused it, but here's what fixed it:

1 uninstalled Foobar with usual Control Panel uninstall
2A through the startup disk everything and delete folders or files with the name "foobar" in them.
3 did the same for the registry (creating a point of restoration first, of course)
    4 restarted
    5 download and install Foobar.

    Yes.

    Works very well.

A big thank you to all who responded.

  • Captivate 9: States of smart objects are not allowed on the slide master?

If someone can tell me I'm wrong (the 'question' I write I guess) then please do - and tell me what I don't see in this program. THX!

I have a series of large module has just completed for a high-profile pharma sales force - all built in my former 8. Captivate any software. Should I build a custom interface and completely brand (as it usually is) and do not use search gawd-awful, teacher friendly, built in stuff. All controls in the interface/shell are on slide master (as they should be) - and they are dynamic objects that use images in their States of a button. Worked very well! A master slide to any other, quiz, for precedent... get it. Plus - I complex animations that require a certain work come in the content area of a position backstage - so master slide items MUST be chosen as always on top (another reason to place controls on master slides. Some of my animations are edge animate - then those who are great - but the Captivate timeline based stuff can be 'hidden' obviously.

Guess what? Captivate 9 not only broke all the controls (and all the custom actions of the art btw)-who needed to be rebuilt using their new 'States' method - but for some bizarre reason Adobe brilliantly REMOVED says abilities completely, all the objects that are placed on leaves of masters... WHY! Now - projects that I opened in it (which where ideally converted to C9 now) have not any comment Visual user for my custom shell (no State to overthrow) controls. I am the only man that creates custom controls and requires them to be the most logical place... slide masters? I am at a loss with this absurd forgotten - especially when it was already possible in Captivate 8. People really bad call.

If all goes well - can someone tell me I'm a fool and I don't see a button somewhere...

No, a little more and state that is a slightly shrunken version button of

    normal.

  • My downloads does not open in the download (double click) list - how to restore this function?

I didn't have this problem before, but the photos recently downloaded from the my phone Blackberry for HP Photo necessary. This would cause the problem?

Downloads from the download list opens:

Manager downloads ("Ctrl + J") looks more like a log of downloads, it does not check that the download still exists. Make sure that you are the program installation to download on its final location, not in the temporary files which cleans the browser or CCCleaner or something designed to clear temporary files.

    Tools > Options > general > downloads:...

Tools > Options > privacy > [x] do not forget the download history

Don't wipe your history to download automatically, but have much there whether they exist or not, can slow down Firefox at least it was a question:

Can be complementary on: configuration settings in addition to the foregoing.

  • Smarth photoshop object does not open in illustrator for editing.

Hello, I have a problem when using photoshop. I always use photoshop and illustrator in the same work, there are files written in the online adobe illustrator (graphics) library. When I go into Photoshop and then load the library file in the document normally use as a smart object. But a week ago I could double-click smart objects and open the Illustrator to edit it, even the smart object is already in the document. For example: I gave two clicks, it opened in Illustrator, I have edited and he edit in photoshop. Only, it is more the fact, to give - click on the smart object does not open in illustrator and a message saying "cannot be displayed in photoshop." How can I make him recognize the file in "AI." and open again directly in illustrator?

This happens because you try to change the file that is located in the cloud. You must open this file in AI of the Cloud in order to change it. You can also try the alt/opt down key now when you try to open the SO.

  • Photoshop: Edit a linked smart object in Illustrator

I've created a few vector shapes and text in Illustrator and paste in Photoshop as a vector object smart. I re - uses these elements, so I the converted to a linked smart object. Awesome. But now, when I double-click items in Photoshop to edit in Illustrator, the linked file just opens preview (I use Mac OS). It is possible to manually edit the linked file by double-clicking it in the Finder and selecting open in Illustrator. It is possible but not very effective. Converted into a dynamic linked object removes the ability to quickly open/edit my Photoshop vectors?

Yes, it removes only the ability. To be able to do what you want, you must integrate the smart AI object in your file. It is inefficient.

  • How to use smart objects to make models?

    Hey guys,.

I was download a few models to use in my wallet and I want to start making my own for some I can not find on the web. I managed to do an asset realistic looking for what I want, but I don't know how to add text and other things. Usually, when I open a downloaded PSD mockup I double-click on the smart object, edit the content, press on save and BOOM it is perspective for whatever I change.

However, I made dynamic object and I am trying to edit the content, so when I double click it just opens the new and all purpose that I created ad, but it does not save the prospect. If that makes sense... (see the screenshots)

    So my question is,

How to make a dynamic object to change the content (text, images, logo, etc. etc.) on a plain PSB and PSD so it registers in the corner or point of view I want? Is there something different that I do. Can we make a step by step guide?

It's my design until I double click on the smart layer

    Screen Shot 2013-10-11 at 3.13.12 PM.png

Here is the image when I double click on the active layer (not exactly what I want).

    Screen Shot 2013-10-11 at 3.13.21 PM.png

Here's a mockup I downloaded when I double click on the next show pictures of what I want.

    Screen Shot 2013-10-11 at 3.13.50 PM.png

That's what I want to do in my design of the original, but how do I get the text to do it with a smart object? I want to change the text in my design and apply (not necessarily this design, but my own) to my dynamic object (first image), I created in photoshop. How can I do this?

    Screen Shot 2013-10-11 at 3.14.11 PM.png

Make the text of the same size or larger and put it into a smart object: filter > convert to smart object.  Without it, you can turn the text, but you do not have as many transform options.  Once you have the text in the dynamic object, select Edition > transform > warp.  Then you can drag the corner of the text points to fit the shape of the card.
