  1. Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | In general. Make sure that the response field is empty for both accounts.

If you use IMAP, you would see the identical files on two installations of Thunderbird, because they would simply reflect what is stored on the server. However, it may not be worth the disruption to change that now if you don't mind having different sets of messages in your two Thunderbirds.

  I have not checked myself, but according to the support article, you can set auto CC / BCC for the here:

  Tools | Accounts settings | < account name >. Copies & folders

  Note: you need to press the Alt key to display the menu bar to use the Tools menu, if you do not keep normally displayed.
