  If you have a valid serial number for InDesign CS5.5, you can install it, please make sure that you check the minimum system requirements for CS5.5: system requirements for Adobe InDesign for Mac OS and Windows, as it is an earlier application and has not been tested on the latest hardware.

  You can only 'save' a product once.  You can install and activate using the serial number repeatedly, but registration occurs only once.

  You don't have to remove the CS3 from your old machine, if you want to keep it as a backup.  Your license allows you to have two facilities enabled, so you can have it on both machines.

  Just in case you are still interested in a solution, found an easy way to do it. Reset the clock to October 1, 2011 and retry updates. Works like a charm

  With the English version of the software, the file extracted to C:\Creative Suite\Adobe Creative Suite 2.0\ CreativeSuiteCS2Disc2.  CreativeSuiteCS2Disc1 and CreativeSuiteCS2Disc3 both extracted C:\Creative Suite CS2\Adobe Creative Suite 2.0\.

  If you copy the contents of the folder C:\Creative Suite\Adobe Creative Suite 2.0\ in the C:\Creative Suite CS2\Adobe Creative Suite 2.0\ folder you will be asked is no longer to insert disc two.
