  is there a way to use the wireless 2000 with this new transceiver box? How can I change the transceiver settings so that it finds the keyboard and mouse?

  You can probably fix your problem by using the system restore. Here's how it works:
  1. keep tapping F8 during the first phase of startup.
  2. select Repair from the menu.
  3. Enter the administrator password when you are prompted. It is often empty.
  4. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
  5. set Windows to a point before this problem occurred.

  My two week old Satellite L50-B02L giving me problems with the mouse pad. Sometimes, when I do a right click, he enrolled as a 'left' normal mouse click. For example: when I want to do a Google search and to open a link in a new tab, I right click the mouse on the link and select in the window that opens.   I just got the apple keyboard with the help of the numerical keys.  The instructions say to connect, hit the Apple icon and the software update.  It was not an option to do this, so I went to the applications and selected updates.  No updates to install.  The keyboard is not fully functional.  Cannot use the keys on the top - increase\decrease volume, change songs, increase\decrease brightness.  What I've done wrong?  Really new to this.

  You have two separate issues.

  You do not explain what are your "mouse pad problems", and because you didn't also determine which laptop Dell model you have, I can't give you specific advice.  Take a look at the following page which, although specific to the laptop computer Latitude 131 L, applies to your touchpad as well. http://www.support.Dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/DSN/en/document?&docid=361927

  If you want information specific to your laptop, go to Dell support and enter your service tag, then search for answers using the keyword "touchpad".

  If your touchpad hardware is actually dead, or if you want to use a mouse instead of the touchpad, the Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 is a reasonable choice.  If you just plug the transmitter into a USB port on your computer and turn on the mouse, it should work without needing to install anything (you may need to reset the transmitter and the mouse buttons to reset on each device).
