Can I have a free server backup or extra esxi 5.5, as a backup to my other server host free esxi 5.5?

Hello.

I have a server free single esxi 5.5, operation of the virtual machine from one storage device shared iSCSI.

Where it breaks down, can I have a free host of alternative esxi 5.5 manually that lights up, and start the virtual machine to this shared storage server? Sort of a manual of high availability?

Yes, it should work, assuming that the ESXi version is the same (i.e. hardware version of the virtual machine is supported by the two hosts).

As long as you don't try marketing the virtual machine of these two hosts at the same time, you should be fine in a VMware perspective.

However, please keep in mind that - according to the physical hardware - it might be possible that, for example, Windows requires a reactivation.

Webmail is not configured to be able to handle mailto links.  This is why they have separate e-mail programs.

  • I have that one saved backup system, is there a reason to keep additional files prior to the last backup of system? I can remove them systematically?

I run the Windows Image backup to a hard drive external on a weekly schedule. The result shows on the hard drive as "WindowsImageBackup\(User name)-PC\Backup (date) (number)"-currently about 80 GB (binary).

I reserve about 135 GB of available space for backups of the system, so I save only the last backup of the system.

So far, I have no problem with that.

However, the disk hard, there is another folder '(USER NAME)-PC' & under which is a folder "backup of files (date) (number)" for each time that the backup system runs.

These files vary considerably in size - for example, 1 GB, 12 GB, 22 GB. They delete or replace automatically - just, they accumulate.

What I want to know is ~.

What is the purpose\importance of these additional files?

Since I only have a single saved backup, is there a reason to keep additional files prior to the last backup of system? I can remove them systematically?

    Original title: Windows Image backup

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply.

File '(Computer name)-PC "contains the files necessary for the Windows. Data files saved in libraries, on the desktop, and if the Windows folders for all people with a user account on the computer are also recorded.

[The default Windows folders include AppData, Contacts, desktop, downloads, Favorites, links, saved parties and searches.]

The size of these files increases, because the content of the folders mentioned above increases.

For more information, see the article mentioned below:

  • Satellite A200-1WR: can I have Windows XP Reocvery disk free

    Dear Toshiba

When I bought my A200-1WR, a little less than a year, it came with 2 recovery DVD, containing Windows XP SP2.
I used Vista, which has been pre-installed, for a little while, until she began to come into conflict with some of my plug-and-play devices, leading to a severe delay in boot, etc. After a few months, I was able to get the laptop not charge at all. Fortunately, the recovery media provided contains XP Pro, so I ran these discs to solve the problem. At first, I didn't want to make a Vista recovery disk before installing XP, but the Toshiba Recovery Disc creator worked no more contradictory Vista, so when I ran the XP disk, I lost the "data"-partition containing Vista factory original installation/setup of my laptop. "."

I intend to sell my A200, so I'll try to restore 'the product' in its original form. Therefore, I need to add support for recovery XP, and manuals. The latter, I downloaded, so I can provide those in PDF on the HD or flash drive. However, the recovery disks, those I don't have laying around. Initially, I wanted to copy my Pro A300 recovery media, but then I would go next door including all the necessary drivers for the A200.

My question is if you are ready to send me the original recovery DVD.
If the manuals could come this way too, it would be greatly appreciated, but as I said, this part I could not solve myself. This site Vista, I followed the route of the "recovery media order", but then I'm charged about 400 Rand (ex 30 Euro). I can understand this amount, if I want something special, but in this case, I'm just trying to keep your product, in their original state. This reflects just as positively about you, about me, so I don't think not that it would be totally unthinkable, if you would try actually stimulate Toshiba sales of notebooks to include all the official drivers. At the end of the day, the laptop will occur at full capacity, which reflects positively on the brand, but besides of that, it will also keep the laptop in your warranty service. Here it provides not only a positive reflection; It also prevents the negative reflection!

It may seem as if "I talk on my street", as they say where I come from. However, I am not the only person who feels this way. HP provides for example, these discs free of charge for the first 2 years after purchase of the any of their laptops. I know with certainty, that very recently, I bought a notebook HP Compaq with a colleague (used on the internet), which came without any software. To my astonishment, my colleague has placed 1 phone call, without even be the first buyer of the laptop, after which he received a tracking number of the post services almost immediately! HP immediately showed the recovery media, without other requests. No payment, even not a questionnaire. So it turns out, they see a recovery outside the Standard warranty support. I guess for the same reasons as those that I just gave you.

I really hope that you can provide them for free, or can I collect somewhere.

Thanks in advance for getting back tome.

    Your really

    Adam

    Hi mate

It is s user forum ;) I doubt someone Toshiba would read it

In any case, the recovery disc can be ordered and you must pay for this record
It s not for free and can not be downloaded

I asked my PSA if it would be possible to upload this image, but they said that's not possible because of some rights of copy

You can also use a MS Windows disc clean the Toshiba drivers needed are placed on the driver page

    Hello

There's a photo guide based on the recovery of your model here...

    http://www.Sony-Asia.com/support/tutorial/381906/product/VGN-fz18g

If you cannot use this method because what did your friend, your options are...

    • Pay Sony for media recovery
    • A base Windows installation followed by installing specific Sony drivers and software from their Web site.

If you walk down the road of the latter, I would say that, if possible, before you begin reinstalling Windows you download at least the Ethernet drivers and wireless and save in, for example, a USB key. Start your drivers to search for them (and other) here...

    http://www.Sony-Asia.com/support/product/VGN-fz18g/FAQ

.. everything will be difficult to download if drivers that allow access to the internet are not native to a new installation of Windows.

Your principled stand against Sony charges for media recovery is, in my opinion, wrong. As I already said twice...

If Sony did not provide recovery media that they have provided the means to create them

If you lost or do not burn them and messed up your recovery partition, it's not for lack of Sony.

My serious recommendation is to accept a fee of Sony for the recovery media. It will make life much simpler for you. For this reason alone, it is probably useful tax, especially considering that you're obviously not a user advanced. Otherwise, why ask the help of a friend and ask for help on this forum?

I suspect that the links I've seen on this website are actually only valid for Windows 7 media images. If you do not buy the recovery media and go with an iso image download Vista Home Premium, I have to warn about the following...

    • The legality of this is, at best, questionable
    • If it's not genuine Microsoft media you might end by in an even bigger mess (if it works at all)

    Tricky

  • I have windows vista. I did a system restore. I can restore PIX saved on the backups before recovery was made?

I have windows vista. I did a system restore. I can restore PIX saved on the backups before recovery was made?

    Hi rich,

What kind of backup do you have?  If it were a full image backup, restoring them will be difficult unless you restore the entire image.  If it was a normal backup of files and folders, it should be fairly simple.

Here is an article on the restore procedure: http://www.vista4beginners.com/How-to-restore-files to make sure you do this right.  It's a selective restore of a full or selective backup (not a full restore from a full backup) - but since you did a full backup, it matches your process more closely than would a full restore.

This is a GREAT article on backup and restore Vista process

http://technet.Microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/2007.09.Backup.aspx , but he won't go into detail about the restoration process - considering almost as easy, of course.  But it teaches you a lot about what is possible and how to do it.   It also focuses primarily on the full backup process, but he did mention the full backup and restore process as well.

Here is an article on the advanced use of restoration (during normal restore does not work):
