Can I import images and change the duration of each one individually?

I make a slideshow for my son and I want to be able to still and video images. I know how to set the default duration for images that are first imported, but I want to know if I can change the time duration after its been imported? Basically I want some images of pop and take out them just for a second. There are a series of these images I want to blink rapidly. Thank you

Answer is Yes. Right click on > speed/duration.

  • Change the duration of multiple clips "as one" clip together?

    Here's my situation:

I have a song to 127 BPM. I have a music video (muted) to 125 BPM.

I spent a long time cut out excerpts of the video channels and muliple clips to form a chronology (but with a lot of clips and channels lined up).

I now want to change the total length of the video clip to match the TEMPO of the song (which I should have done in the first place), but the video is, as noted earlier, sliced upward in mulitple clips in multiple channels. How do I change the duration of all the clips at the same time, where the end and the beginning of the clips still line up to eachother?

It would be incredibly easy if there was a function non-breeders. Where can I nest multiple clips, change the duration and the UN - nest clips from clips of an overall duration slices changed. (Which is not possible. Yes, I can drag out of the nested charger clips, but the clips will still have the initial term).

TL; DR: How can I change duration of multiple clips "as one" clip together?

Never mind. I found an alternative solution. I used an expandable calculator at http://mp3.deepsound.net/eng/samples_calculs.php and time stretched all the clips to match the TEMPO of the song. Now I just need to break all the clips, which can be done one by one, but I found this trick to snap all clips at once: http://vimeo.com/27428526.

  • Microsoft Movie Maker - cannot change the length of each clip.

Cannot change the length of each clip on Microsoft Movie Maker.

I clicked on 'tools', then 'options' in Microsoft Movie Maker after importing my media and organize my clips as the way I would like it. When I then click on the "Advanced" tab, image duration shows only 5 seconds with the transition period only 1.25 seconds, which is the default setting and that is also what I want. However, when I play my project in Movie Maker, it accelerates through each clip. I also noticed that when I press the title of 'Clip' in my headings at the top left and then click on 'Properties', the duration of each clip shows that only 00:02 seconds. Which is why my speed clips too quickly.

I would have thought that setting my time of duration in the Tools section would then set in the Clips section, but this is obniously does not. I don't understand why everyone would show differently and wonder if you can help me to slow down the speed that my movie is playing.

  • PE8 - change the duration of a still image WITHOUT the help of the cursor?

It is probably quite trivial, but for the life of me I can't find anywhere.

I would like to change the duration of a static image playback - I import defined by default in 5seconds. I know that I can change it with the sliders, but that never seems to give me a quantity specified time trying to match multiple pictures. (think of a slideshow integrated in a video)

Y at - it a trick somewhere? It's super duper easy at first, but they seem to have abandoned the service from what I can tell in PRE.

    Thanks in advance.

By click-and - drag on either the head or tail of the still with the timeline zooms in, you have a specific edition. If you need to increase the duration of 3 images, just expand it by 3 ticks on the rule of the timeline. You can also view it in the Info Panel (it is a group that I use all the time).

    Good luck

  • Cannot change the duration for still images?

I have a bunch of stills in my Timeline that are of the same duration. I click with the right button on the first and select speed/time and change it if nothing happens. If I drag the clip on a new layer, I'm able to change the duration. Is there a way to change the individual duration of still images when they are already placed in the Timeline?

    Thank you.

Right-click on the clip and select the speed/duration.  Don't forget to check the box for ripple edit, move the creeping Clips.    You can select and change multiple clips at "drawing", a box (marquee tool) around the appropriate clips, then right click on for speed/duration.

  • Change the duration of the composition and compositions under

I have a publication with several compositions in it and so on. And I need to extend it, but when I change the duration of the composition above in the project panel doesn't change any of the compositions it contains, is there an easy way to change all the?

Also, I'm working with a big Photoshop file in AE, with layers, groups, y at - it a way to get AE to update of the initial import, or am I stuck re-import everything to get the new layers, whenever I add?

For the duration of the things check this: rd: CompSetter. Regarding the update of your stuff - AE retains no info on PSD layers or such structure (for the msot part simply since neither PS nor I care to provide a single layer ID that woulkd allow initially). It's just a one time process with the convenience of the AE, it organizes for you, that's all import. If you need to add several layers, the easiest would be to import the document again as a composition and then copy & paste the missing layers for parts you already have done. Then, you can always remove redundant duplicates of importation and reorganize your project according to the needs...
