• How to change input during execution of the VI values?

  Hi, I am involved in a project of I am responsible to implement the code for a stepper motor. A problem that I face is how to do a "update" button, I have 5 input values that I need, but is it possible to change the values without having to restart the VI? Basically I'm looking for a way to update my variables and run the same block of code every time.

  At first I thought to use a for loop and have a each press on the button update a new iteration of the loop with the updated values but that doesn't seem to work, can someone point me in the right direction?

  In my view, that a simple event structure you get. Check out the attached VI. If you need additional assistance, please your postal code. Note that this code uses a button (update) to update all 5 digital inputs. You can simply right-click in the structure of the event and select "Change events managed by this case" to make sure that change the any digital inputs generates the event.

  When you drag / drop photos, you actually perform a step to import, so it would be wise to figure out how to import your photos and all of the affected options. I agree with Jim Hess and al., drag / drop are an easy way to screw up your organization. Importing is a much more organized way to manage things. There are a lot of tutorial vid3os on import.

  I'm trying to draw a histogram on an arbitrary parameter (such as the effect of 'Levels'). Part of the draw is good, but I have a problem with the data in the input layer (param [0]).

  All I have to do now is read the entry about the event draw arbitrary data. But there is not the input on the draw event pointer. So I called the PF_CHECKOUT_PARAM() function to get the input data, and it works!

  When I test in AE, I created a layer A, and added some color correction effects to the layer before my effect added A layer. The problem is the input layer that read my effect is not the result of the previous effects that I applied before.

  It was a long search, but I found something interesting:

  I transferred my pictures from my camera to my mac, and they downloaded with the only place wherever they appear in "the last download" but not in "events".  I also downloaded on my macbook and had the same response.  I've never had this problem before and have tried everything.  How can I get them to appear in the "events"?  Since my last camera download, I have create a second library, but they are not more in the events.

• How to use the structures of the event for long-running tasks

  I created a state machine that scans a cluster of Boolean controls in a State of 'home '. Most of the States run a Subvi or two in ~ 100 ms or less.

  However, a State run for 10 seconds.

  The code works but the user interface is limited because the controls are outside the cluster because they provide inputs to the structure of State machine case but do not cause changes in the State. In other words, I all orders cluster stacked vertically on one side of the main panel and do not have the flexibility to move the controls to the more intuitive positions on the Panel.

  My question: How can I convert this code in a structure of the event and keep this long term 'event' and prevent that the operator by clicking another button event during the execution of this event?

  You say you have controls outside of your main code... You should really put these inside and manipulate them in a State of your state machine is initialized. This allows you to make changes to the code easier and limits of line entering your outside loop.

  You can do different things to lock the user.

  You can disable specific controls so that they can't be clicked or edited.

  You can use the palette of the mouse to define the busy cursor and disabled again once finished, I do this a lot during treatment when my code something loads the user just clicked.

  One of my favorites is to set a Boolean value in your data that passes through you event titled structure "disable mouse." When the value is True, a mouse down event will effectively reject the event, clicking on disable. I also added an event mouse move where if the bool disable the mouse is set to True, it moves an indicator of string with the mouse by telling the user why it is disabled.

  If you want more specific suggestions, I suggest to post an excerpt of your code, or attach your screws, so that we can better help you.

  Yes, you can register events DAQmx.  Look in the IO position-> data DAQmx-> Advanced-> palette of events acquisition DAQmx to start, or search for events DAQmx.  All DAQmx devices support events of change detection, which is probably what you want if you have the digital I/o, in order to verify that it is supported by your device.

  Control properties editor:

  Change the representation in the floating point data Type tab type, DBL will do.

  Then go to the Page of display Format and increment 'Numbers' to something greater than 1

  That toggles the column of values on the tab change the items to % .6f, or 6 digits of precision. Uncheck sequential following, values and you're there.

  If you think that's too restrictive, go back the display Format, then select if rating and you can type anything (but, the editor has a hissing fit, so you must load chains and property [] with a property node values programmatically)

  I think raise you an event to change value via the input connector, that you hope to do. One ugly semi solution is to get the button references and make a Value property (Signal).

  A better solution if you want Hasina events in a subvi is to record user events and send the registry-event thread for the sub - vi, where you can use these events to the event structure. Check that the user created events and examples of dynamic event.
