Can I install CS6 on a new iMac?
Will be the Adobe Creative Suite 6 -installed from a CD, not the cloud- work in El Capitan?
I just bought a new iMac 21 "(with an external DVD drive), El Capitan 10.11.5 running."
I have a boxed version of Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium, bought in 2012.
1. can I install the CS6 boxed set on the new computer? It will work with any problems?
I need to work on legacy files (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) if my Adobe Cloud membership is never cancelled.
(I currently get the subscription as part of a TEAM working group.) If they had to terminate my services, I would be unable to bear the cost of a subscription of cloud from Adobe on my own and would therefore lose access to years of work - my own personal files as well as of their.)
2. I have not yet installed the cloud on the new computer.
Can I configure Adobe Cloud before install this legacy CS6, or after?

CS6 and previous programs have not been tested and will not be updated to run on Mac El Capitan

Yes you can install it on your new Macintosh. If it doesn't have an optical drive, you can copy the contents of the installation media to a USB drive and then install the software from there.
