  You can upgrade the RAM, but 16 GB ddr3 1600 Mhz is NOT designed for your iMac. Please use the RAM specifications correct, iMacs are extremely sensitive to the RAM and require the correct specifications and high quality RAM. Advanced users on these forums tend to recommend Crucial (buy directly from them) or if you are in the USA, RAM from OWC (www.macsales.com).

  Do not buy RAM in your store, the local computer or cheap RAM at best, it's probably a waste of time and at worst it will simply not work.

  You have a hardware problem.  Are you sure that there is nothing inside the DVD player?  If you are energetic, open the MBP, remove the disc and open it.  If this is not the case, make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar for a FREE evaluation.  It is possible that the player has not.

  Here are a few screenshots I took it to give you an example of how to do to scan several pages in the scanner software. Make sure that the option is disabled for the creation of a separate file for each scanned page.   Photoshop should never be used to generate your HTML code.  It is only useful for making quick comps.

  If your HTML & CSS coding skills are not at full speed yet, you should probably use Muse instead of DW.  It is much easier to use for the non-codeurs.

  I use PhotoShop Elements 10.  I have a word typed out in a font within the PES, and it is italicized; However, the emphasis is not enough.  In other words, I would like the word to tilt more to the right.  Is there a way to do this?  I tried stretching the word by pulling off by clicking and dragging with the pointer on the box that appears around the text, but all that did was raise the text.  I want to keep the bottom of the text exactly as is and stretch it further to the right.  I do not know what is the correct terminology, but imagine if I can hit italics and multiply only the action of 10 or 12 or something else until I get my desired tilt.  Don't know if it's important, but I'm on a Mac.  If this is not possible under PSE10, I wonder what the correct terminology is so I can search online for a software that will allow for this.

  I've never used an email client that could open (i.e. display) pdf documents directly; If a pdf document to be sent as an attachment, the recipient record and play in his favorite pdf reader. Even if there is an email client that can do, most can not, then your efforts would be futile.

  So forget pdf; you have to copy - paste the body of the text of the document directly in your email. You could always attach the pdf version, if that's helpful.
