can I record a slideshow of Media center to a flash drive?

I made a slide show without music and want to play on another computer. Help, please.

Hello

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.
You can play it on another computer, but you can only burn to CD/DVD. Once you are in the area of slide show, right-click the slide show created-> click burn a CD/DVD. This will create a CD/DVD of your choice and you can use it on another computer.

  • Cannot play movies/recorded shows in Windows Media Center on Windows 7

Three years ago I bought a Sony laptop with Vista and an external tuner ATI so that with a CableCARD, I could use Windows Media Center to record shows/movies. I recently bought a new PC with Windows 7 and found that the Windows 7 PC cannot read the 500 films/shows that have been saved and the new Windows 7 recorded shows can be played by the Vista laptop. Is any way to convert or run natively these shows that have been saved under the WMC?

    Hi RalphGreenlee,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

If I understand correctly, you are unable to play back movies recorded in windows media center.

Looks like the file cannot not supported by Media Center or you need a codec to right.
What type of video file format?
Also check the videos if there are other formats to the choice other than the one you have now.

    Method 1:
    Step 1:
Indicate the file types supported by Windows Media Center:
Types of files supported by Windows Media Center:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/file-types-supported-by-Windows-Media-Center
    Step 2:
Try using a good set of codecs and then try to burn video files.

  • After turning on my computer I can't start live TV in media center.

After turning on my computer I can't start live TV in media center.
It's just there for a few seconds then it gives me a disk error and tells me to restart either the media center or Windows. No help! The only way to get the work TV power is on the backup and Restore Center, and use system restore to return to a previous restore point. The restore point doesn't have to be anything in particular. It may be a system on-demand restore point, before or after turning on the computer. It just makes no sense what so ever.
My system is a Dell XPS 410 with Vista servie pack 2. I had this problem, since the computer is new, nearly two years ago. Dell support is running out of ideas.

What are the details of the error which mentions the disc error?

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right click on your drive icon / properties / tools / error checking.  Try first by checking do not each box (that it will run in read-only mode) to see if it reports any problems file or hard drive.  If so, restart it by checking both boxes and restart to allow him to attempt to fix any problems found.

The manufacturer of the hard drive will have free diagnostic software carefully to check the status of your hard drive.

The importance only I can get to the system restore solution is the fact that a reboot is involved, if you need to restart just the error disappears too?

one at a time and connect a second pc, you must remove the

  • Since this morning I can't watch live TV on media center. It was working fine until last night.

I restart my computer couple time. But it's still not.

    You can watch recorded tv?

Here are a few suggestions: -.

Try a Restore.Select system of any restore point when everything was fine.

You can uninstall and reinstall the tv tuner card driver. Visit the tv tuner card manufacturer's Web site to download and install the latest compatible driver.

If the above does not help try this: -.

Open WMC > tasks > settings > General > Windows Media Center Setup > run the Setup again.

    Once done reconfigures MCE.

  • question re. records programmed in windows media Center

I want to record a tv using Windows Media Center (WMC) series. I configured the tuner, WMC and took the series to record using the guide. My question is: what I must have WMC running in the background for the scheduled to start recording, or WMC itself will start at the right time? In addition, it will start my laptop? in other words, can I just turn off my cell phone (to save energy) and let and WMC invites you to my computer to start up and/or start WMC when programmed recording? Thank you!

The laptop doesn't have to be on, but if it isn't then it must be in mode 'sleep'. If you do a full closed then media library will not be able to restart the laptop, but it can be awakened from sleep mode.

  • Can no longer watch HBO on Media center

In recent days, I get a "Restricted content" screen when you watch HBO after only a few seconds.

I used Media Center on my Vista machine with an ATI all-in-Wonder hung in a box of cable for years without incident. What has changed?

Everyone on the forums is shouting at this topic, but above all it is recording and playback issues.  I even can't my channels to work in Live TV.

I don't own a TV.  I watch all my shows through my Vista machine so I'm basically getting ripped off for the money I spend on the strings.

We need a fix or work around now!

I'm so smart, sometimes I amaze myself!

    (1) my yellow screen 'restricted content' is doing for my color combination settings (hi contrast black) rather than the default schema.

    (2) I am now able to watch HBO!

I created my guide of Media Center for Cox Cable in Phoenix and POOF I'm back in business.

I don't know why this is, because I never took the penalty set up before that I do not use it in any case.

Or use the remote or breakout box that came with my system.

Thank you for your patience to answer my rants. And hope it helps others in the future.

    Sincerely

  • Can't get surround sound in Media Center

I have a computer set up in my living room which is mainly used for watching TV in Windows Media Center on Windows x 64 8. I've noticed for a while that it seemed that sound surround did not work and I was only get stereo sound of the by the front speakers. I run sound via HDMI to my computer in my surround receiver. The output is a motherboard Intel DH77EB using graphics Intel HD 4000.

When I go into the Windows taskbar and open the playback devices, I configured the audio HDMI 5.1 surround and the sound is output to all speakers. Before, when I would try to run the speaker via Media Center Setup, it would skip the screen where you can play a sound test and go directly to the screen resolution of the problems, as if I chose that I could not hear sound from all speakers. After crossing the speaker setup of the Windows again last night, I could finally access the test page for the configuration of your speakers in Media Center. This time, the small circle 'busy' just spun for a while, and then he asked if I heard the sound of all speakers. He never played any sound. I thought he would return to the previous settings, but when I tried to play TV, he played with no audio and then pops up an error on the codecs are not properly installed.

The only way I could get Media Center to start playing live and recorded TV is again to return the Windows sound properties and reconfigure my HDMI out be only stereo. I have temporarily lost my digital optical audio cables, but I will try those next. I hope that this will work because it will rely on different audio drivers for my computer (Realtek). I didn't have to run an extra audio cable when HDMI should work for all.

The additional troubleshooting steps I took were completely uninstall and reinstall all the graphics and audio drivers with more later from the Intel Web site. I would try a refresh of Windows installation because I think that it worked when my computer is first set up (before some problems with my SSD). The only problem with that is that I have many records of CableCard that I would lose to join because of copy protection.

So there is a work around for this problem, which is still not great, but will fix the problem to some extent (not require to keep switching the mode stereo surround for different applications). If you have your default playback device (mine is a Nvidia video card using the HDMI output) output configured for 5.1 surround sound it is a way that you can get Media Center working properly. If you start Windows Media Center by double clicking on a video recorded (record TV) in the recorded TV file default value it will launch Windows Media Center for the video and start playing without the two second loop audio and immanent freeze and screen "video playback error". Then, you can navigate to Live TV and it will continue to function properly. This seems to be the only medium that you can leave your speakers configured to 5.1 surround output and still use Media Center.

  • I can get 10 in my Hp Media Center m8020n PC windows have Vista

I don't know what to do about 10 Windows for my HP Media Center m8020n. I've had this for about 8 years and he loves and does not wish to continue with it. Can I put Windows 10 here and update all software there need or do I have to buy a new PC

    Hello

First of all I wouldn't do this on any machine that has more than 5 years. Secondly, please note: no free upgrade from Vista to Windows 10 you must buy Windows 10 license of Windows or 7/8 to get a free update of Windows 10. Money and time to devote to this would be painful.

But if you want to try, please read the following article:
