Can I reset my MacBook Air and restore the backup I made before to reduce others' storage space?
Hello
so I have the 126 GB MacBook Air. My problem is that the other takes 87 GB!
So can I reset my laptop and restore the backup later like you do with iPhones to reduce the "other"?
I guess this could work, but I'm afraid something away...
I hope that there is someone who can help me!
Thank you!
There is nothing necessarily wrong with 'other' as long it's documents, etc. that you need.
Make a backup and a restore just grow what you have now. I would not recommend it.
If you don't think the number is correct you can reindex to see if that changes it: Spotlight: how to re - index folders or volumes - Apple Support

I want to connect my i pad with my Macbook air. I don't have access to the internet. Can I do this?
Use the same cable you use to charge the iPad to connect to the USB port on the MacBook Air. Now, you can synchronize the iPad for the MacBook Air using iTunes on your Mac.

How to replace a laptop HARD drive and restore the backup without a Vista startup disk?
Hello
I need to replace the drive HARD internal of my laptop and have a picture of it, created using the backup feature in Vista, on an external USB HDD. However, I've upgraded to Vista XP via a download online and don't have a Vista disc.How can I create a Vista startup disk that will give access to the backup/restore function, which allowed me to restore my backup to the new HARD disk image once I did the replacement? And is there anything else I forget?
Thanks in advance!
Mike
You can borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is General info how to make a Vista startup repair disk:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.
ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
See you soon.
Deleted all my files off my MacBook Air and it still says I have 84 GB of "other."
And yes I emptied my Recycle Bin, as well as the photo bin.
I only have the GoPro GoPro Studio, iMovie, and Lightroom installed apps.
I don't have a time Machine is turned on also.
It's in my head!
Very often rebuild Spotlight index will update the other category to its actual size.
Hi there, I been using MacBook Air and IPad2 for awhile. Recently, I lost my MacBook Air and am interested open ICloud to check my folder/old records. Can I get directions to the opportunity to see my files in I have the cloud.
I hope that you are not in a surprise but a MacBook Air not backup to iCloud. It can record data in iCloud drive (if you saved it specifically to this place) and can synchronize Photos, Contacts, etc to iCloud if you had set it to do. You can use any computer and connect to https://www.icloud.com/ to see what is stored. I hope this is good news and that it contains what you hope.
Under the terms, you are allowed to install and activate both perpetual software computers, as long as you use it on one at a time.
Currently, I run the design and the Web Premium CS6 on a first generation MacBook Air and want to buy a new MacBook Pro. How will I know if I can install my programs on the new Adobe computer? Because I know that there is some sort of limit.
Also, I had to install the software twice on my computer before because I had to restart the computer. I don't know if this affects the limit.
You are allowed to have two facilities activated, so it shouldn't be a problem with facilities to work on both machines. If by chance you somehow tied up two activations for a machine you can have Adobe support help solve this cat thrue.
Print > save as PDF - use an excerpt (part of Mac OS X), so Adobe Reader should have no effect on that at all.
As for the error "file corrupted", simply uninstall the Reader app will not affect it. Follow these steps:
Mac/HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins
Trash the files AdobePDFViewer.plugin and AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin
Mac HD/Applications
Trash the application Adobe Reader
[user] / Library/Preferences
Trash the com.adobe.Reader.plist file
To access the [user] / Library, hold down the 'Option' and click on 'Go' in the FInder menu.
Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Trash the drive (full record)
Empty the trash.
Download the installer FULL here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
Quit your browser, and then reinstall the drive.
Run it from the Applications folder and agree to the license agreement.
You should have no problem with Safari PDF files download.
Unfortunately, ANY PDF file that says it is damaged.... You will need their trash.
I cancelled iTunes on a Macbook Air, issued by the school. All my music is stored/saved on my iMac at home. If I delete the playlists and songs of the Macbook it will affect my master library?
Unless you're 'home sharing', which he does not seem like you are, two libraries (macbook and iMac) are distinct, so a change does not affect the other. Best way to test would be to remove a few songs you can download easily and see if it changes. But I don't think it will be a problem.
MacBook Air and Macbook Pro for a country with a moderate speed internet
Hello.
Please can anyone provide me suggestions on what kind of Macbook (preferably between the Macbook Air and Macbook Pro) to buy? I will be moving to Nigeria and will love a stylish laptop that I can use when there is a poor network.
Thank you.
The two manage networks in the same way... slow food makes slow refresh, fast food done fast refresh.
My concern would be supported in Nigeria. New units of the retina are sealed and cannot be repaired easily, and if you perform self-service you cancel the warranty Apple Stores years FSAA (Apple authorized service providers) are your best source of support.
Keep several good backups in case of failure, as although Macs are reliable, the bad parts pass through. There are also thieves in all regions of the world who love bright shiny Macs.
How can I get my macbook air to stop repetitive clicks
I just got this computer barely a month, I purchased from best buy and this by clicking. He came to dislike. I don't know what to try, it's not an apple store where I live. What should I do? It still does for some time after I turned it off. How can I solve this problem? It's a 13 in early 2015. I took great care with her, I had a macbook in high school and I remember having heard such a noise on a few of them as well. I am a collage student and need my computer for class almost every day.
Greetings faiffles,
Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!
I understand that you hear clicking from your MacBook Air and you don't have an Apple Store nearby. In this case, I would advice contacting Apple Support, so we can learn more about this situation.
You can also see an Apple authorized service provider if you have one nearby. The following link has the details.
Have a great day!
How can I recharge my MacBook Air in Australia?
I will be studying in Australia from February to June, and I need to bring my MacBook Air for academic use. I'm afraid to use my US charger with an Australian converter and adapter, because I don't want to fry my charger or laptop. Is it possible that I could buy an Australian charger for a MacBook Air, and it would be acceptable to use on my Mac we?
Thanks for the help!
The MagSafe power adapter is bitensión, so it is safe to use with 110V or 220V. You can buy the World Travel Kit that has additional sheets to replace the current on the power adapter.
