  So the only applications using Bridge on your machine is then PES. If you want to remove Bridge CS4, you will need to uninstall then the PSE 8 Mac. During the uninstallation of PSE 8 Mac, Bridge CS4 will also get deleted.

  It is the same for the combination Bridge CS3 and PSE 6...

  DNG converter is a stand-alone tool. For Photoshop / bridge you must have the corresponding version of Camera Raw (ACR). Refer to this:

  For keywords, go to brige and in the upper right of the keywords Panel, click drop-down list.  Choose export and save the file to disk.

  Don't forget to disable (help/disable PS) copies on the old computer, and then turn back on the new computer.

  Best of do not copy the program, but do the installation disks.

  Since then, I have subscribed to the creative cloud and downloaded some apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, DW).

  I'm likely to have problems if I let the older CS4 applications on my PC, or should I uninstall them, and if so what is the best way to go about this?

  You can safely uninstall CS4 products for this, you can use Add and remove program on your windows entries to remove these products.

  Symantec needs update their Firefox Add-ons to make them compatible with Firefox 4.   I don't know about the time scale for the updates for other Norton products.

  Waiting for the update by Symantec, downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first of all uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option 'remove my Firefox personal data '. If you select this option, it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.

  Then you can install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your favorite courses, passwords etc.

  I recommend, to avoid possible problems with decommissioning, accessing your profile folder and delete the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Delete these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, check their compatibility and cancel the toolbar customizations.

  Is Photoshop (tell us the version) upward to date?

  You may need to get a new version of Camera Raw that supports your camera files (only one?) outputs.
