can I use firefox to open files created in microsoft office? Otherwise what ese I can use

used to have something on my tablet of automatically selected windows in what I thought was thunderbird. This was installed by a sales person & worked fine until this that had a problem and when the repair has been removed. have reinstalled thunderbird for email & is fine but not knowing what to install to open who sent and files that have been created with Microsoft office. didn't want to buy the Office until I can do in Mozilla?

I am not able to open files that are not created in word works perfectly, or has vista what ever. I can't open things in word or works that are sent to me or my teacher has on its website of the files. I learned there is something I should be able to download free to solve this problem, but I can't. I can't find user friendly microsofts site. ANY help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I can't open the files created by Microsoft Works. I have windows 7 Professional installed and xp

I have files dating back to 1994, that were created by using Microsoft Works. I was able to convert all the older spread sheet files on my old computer that was not recently. Microsoft XP was installed with Microsoft Office 2007, on my old computer. I saved the original files, but cannot open them on my new computer, which also contains Microsoft Office 2010. Are there programs of conversion which converts files more ancient works in Word and XLR 2010 formats?

OpenOffice http://www.openoffice.org/ and/or LibreOffice http://www.libreoffice.org/ may be able to open and convert the files. Try an older version if the versions cannot open files.

Folders cannot be sent as an attachment. You will need the file zip up and send the zip attached file.

How do I open the .snp with Microsoft Office 2007 files is installed? It works with MS Office 2003, but not with MS Office 2007!

I have MS Office Pro Plus 2007 is installed on my computer. I also MS Office 2003 is installed on a different computer. Snapshot viewer is installed on both. My snapshot of work files works with MS Office Access 2003 but not recognized by MS Office Access 2007. It would allow me to save them either! Is this a problem with FireFox (3.6.8)? However, I have no problem, open them using IE7/8 on both computers. Any ideas? Thank you.

I heard about other problems with Office 2007 to 2003, but most of the people do not have Pro/business versions with access, so maybe there's a previously unnoticed problem.

Image JPG files corrupted in Microsoft Office/Vista Ultimate

I had recently several incidents where I loaded photos on my hard drive using Olympus Master 2, I have seen andmanipulated several times photos by using the Microsoft Office Picture Manager on Vista Basic. After about a week I opened the files again and found that several random JPG photos were corrupted in that the photos were incomplete (truncated 1/3 to 1/2 way through the picture with the rest of the area occult. These are in fact random, one or two pictures of Meg 2-3 in several directories. I ran CHKDSK but turned to the high no errors. It doesn't seem to be what I can do to correct the wrong files. These records were not edited, just open with Picture Manager and closed. Anyone elso had this kind of problem? I'm stuck.

Check the dates of computer file on your photos using Start - or Windows Explorer. If the dates have changed
then, something changed files.

Try these (I know you ran chkdsk however never did wrong.)

I do a few the well-being of the software from my computer. I followed the instructions on this page, stop adware and pop-up advertising windows in Safari, and in/Library/LaunchDaemons, I found this file - com.microsoft.office.licensing.helper.plist

Now, the instructions on the page in the link I shared suggests that a file in this folder beginning with 'com' and ending with '. helper.plist"is a file of adware, and there will be some 'any word' between the two." Where I am confused is that they say the central part of the file name is 'any word', but they don't give that the file name may use several words separated by periods (.) or if they are all considered a Word. He also doesn't seem to be file names using the same word in/Library/LaunchAgents or in Library/Application Support, as the instructions suggest it.

Can anyone confirm whether or not it is adware file?

I've had success doing this, but I want to create a table of labview with these data and I don't know how to do, using the node property or call the node.
