What am I misunderstanding? BACKUP COPY THAT isn't really a COPY.

Why I can't use the 'copy' of the controlfile created by RMAN?

    Note:

If I just copy the controlfile to the new location when the database shuts down everything works fine.

  • Adobe Muse can be used to create the database of Web sites?

Adobe Muse can be used to create database, Web sites or is it only, through 'replace the image through to travel away from your computer'.

    Hi Edgar,

I'm afraid that this is not possible in Muse at this stage, I will recommend that put you that on our ideas here, section ideas for features in Adobe Museand inform our team of devs to this requirement.

In muse, you can conceive only of static content. Dynamic content that you can return via DB, you need to write custom code and insert it into Muse via the option "object-> insert html ' or 'properties-> metadata-> html for the head.

  • Expdp/impdp can be used to upgrade the database (instead of DBUA) R12

    Hi all

    (1) could as possible to convert the database to UTF8 value as part of the database
upgrading process within the update Rel12? Any suggestion on how to do it? Any doc doc/procedure?

    (2) according to Rel 12 guide upgrade applications, I can follow "interoperability Notes: Oracle Applications 11i.
with Oracle Database 11 g 2"doc to update my database. But this doc suggested using DBUA.
Can I use expdp/impdp instead so I can convert the character at a time? All documentation
that I can follow to use expdp/impdp to do the upgrade?

    (3) are there measures to specify/extra for Rel12 if I want to convert the characters of the base
    the value UTF8?

    Thanks in advance!

I do not. You must upgrade, and then convert the characters or convert then upgrade - you can save an SR to confirm this with the support of the Oracle.

Only DBUA is the way supported in Oracle EBS instance level. Please see this similar thread - Oracle EBS 11i Database Upgrade to 11 GR 2 - Upgrade method Support Manual is?

    Hello

the amount of convertible has no relationship with if you can use dmu or not.

of course, less the cabriolet, the less time the conversion process itself will take, but that's all

It may sound crazy that I am answering my own post.  As he complains about MigrationBasis.  I tried to go to the config.xml file and changed

    Cluster-0

    unicast

    database

    TO

    Cluster-0

    unicast

    consensus

And at least I was able to restart Server Admin and go to the Server Admin page. The Cluster-> Configuration-> Migration is always on view from database as the basis for Migration.

  • can we use Grid Infrastructure 11.2 to protect a single instance database?

    Hi all

I would use Oracle Grid Infrastructure to protect a single instance database.
    I found these documents:
    http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/products/Clusterware/overview/em-DB-failover-128585.PDF (for 10.2)
    http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/products/Clusterware/overview/SI-DB-failover-11g-134623.PDF (by 11.1)

I was unable to find a similar document for 11.2 GI. Do you know if such a document exists?

At the moment I only know that the IM is free if used for Oracle products, but I'm not shure if it can be used for external applications one-time protext or databases

    Hello

While it is still working (failover scripts you find in the demo folder $GI_HOME7/src/demo/coldfailover), the document does not exist, because with 11 GR 2, there is a solution to support called RAC ONE node, so make the manual configuration of obsolete.

    Hi all
I have uninstall FDM and install and reconfigure FDM still and then restore FDM Apps present previously.

To do this, I can resue the same Oracle repository for the restoration of the FDM application on newly installed instance.

As far as I know, I need to make the backup of this repository then file repository and create it again and use it for the new application

Please suggest, are there other ways to do this...

    Thanks in advance

Em12c said my database of WHO should install 20299013: DATABASE PATCH UPDATE 11.2.0.4.6 SET (INCLUDES CPUAPR2015) but when I try to make a corrective plan, EM says

Target 'OEMPROD. UIT.NO' is the repository of this CMS. Patching this goal is not supported. Use the SGD Update Manager.

So this means that the db OEM should not have the General JAVA virtual machine to the UAP, UPE, patches installed and only the special who patches?

    Hello

You can not use the Patch Manager to patch the current SGD.

Pls follow the doc to SGD Patch below and the repository.

  • ORA-12012: error on auto work "SYSMAN." "' EM_ECM_VCPU_JOB ' in the repository database

    Hello

I want to install Oracle EM 12 c Cloud Control version 12.1.0.3. I watched the video and I'm just following the instructions.

I created a repository database using a model of database I downloaded from OTN (database version 11.2.0.3). I chose the data base for the deployment of small.

Once the repository database has been created, the following error keeps repeating in the database's alert.log file:

    ORA-12012: error on auto work "SYSMAN." "" EM_ECM_VCPU_JOB ".

ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    ORA-06512: at "SYSMAN.". EM_ECM_VCPU_COLLECTION', line 1432

    ORA-06512: at line 1

The installation of the CMS software has not been started.

In my view, there is a support Note 1570105.1 of ID that addresses the same error in the desk of cloud and is addressed by the application of a patch in the OMS_HOME.

Someone can help me please answer:

    1) is the question that I feel exactly the same way as in the notes 1570105.1?

    (2) do I proceed with the installation of the WHO and then apply the patch, or is there a way to stop it now, before we continue?

    (3) will be OK to disable just the job in question?

I think I saw somewhere that the SYSMAN schema should not even be present in the repository database before installation of the WHO; However, this is how he got from the database model.

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Emilija

Indeed the footnote you found is good:

    EM 12 c R3: running the reports EM_ECM_VCPU_JOB: ORA-12012: error on auto work "SYSMAN." "" EM_ECM_VCPU_JOB "(Doc ID 1570105.1)

However, I think it can only occur after the installation of the (12.1.0.3) WHO is an active work that has to do with the VT plugin (to manage and monitor Oracle VM) even if you have not installed this plugin.

Ora errors after installation of the patch.

If you do not want to stop the SGD just to install the patch, you can also run the 17066821\17066821\files\sysman\admin\emdrep\sql\core\latest\ecm\ecm_vcpu_computation_pkgbody.sql as user sysman.

This will recreate the package but now without calling the task if you do not have the plugin installed VT.

  • Repository database version (11.2.0.3)

    Hello

Can I use 11.2.0.3 as a repository of Grid Control 11 g database?

You can go with 11.2.0.2 database for 11GC

  • Update of the repository database grid 10g (10.1.0.4) GC to 10.2.0.5?

We have ' all in one ' box with Oracle 10 G Grid Control on it. It came with the Oracle 10.1.0.4 database server that we use as a repository of grid. All our production database servers are 10g 10.2.0.5 and we would like to use the repository of the grid as the RMAN Repository for our backups, but we can't as the grid base is any version and RMAN requires repository database to be at least the same or more recent than the database version you sign up.

So my question is... We can upgrade 10.1.0.4 base grid to 10.2.0.5 (or 11g?) without breaking anything in 10g Grid Control? My guess is that it should be fine but... I thought better to ask first.

Yes you can upgrade your database repository OEM 10.2.0.5 or 11 If you wish.

    DB-10 gr 2 10.2.0.4, 10.2.0.5
    DB-11 GR 1 material 11.1.0.7
    DB-11 GR 2 11.2.0.1

The version of the database are supported as a repository database
