• No 'Use Word 2010 Starter' button after followng HP instructions to uninstall. Now what?

  I have a HP Pavillion desktop (p7-1010) running Windows Home Premium 64 bit. It came with the Microsoft Word Starter 2010 edition installed, I used without problem since I bought the (new) PC.

  A few days ago, I started having a message that WINWORDC.exe was download a required feature and don't be surprised if Word seemed not to answer. Sometimes, the message looks like there was a problem with the Internet connection then try again.

  I found and followed the instructions to http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02981221 who told me how to attempt a repair. The repaor has failed. After that, I could not run Word starter at all - the logon banner would hang and say download Microsoft Word Starter 2010 (99%). This message has never disappeared.

  I rebooted a few times to be sure.

  The HP page also gave instructions to find out how uninstall the Starter edition - with a caveat that you need to be sure, the head office was installed - and then reinstall. Given that the Manager has been installed on my PC, I uninstalled and then, when I followed the instructions on how to re - install, the button I had to click on (something like 'Use Word 2010 Starter' wasn't there.  Now, I have no way to use Word - starter or otherwise.

  I assumed HP instructions were good. Don't think.

  Because if the article or document belongs to HP, then update is not a problem.  I note it to those responsible for its maintenance.

  The question that you may be an exception, because at some point in the past may have clicked on the button use Office 2010 Staerer. Who is likely to have (grayed out) off the button. Have you noticed if it was present before you uninstalled Office Starter via the Microsoft Manager program?

However, that restriction is based on the differences between the models of phones sold in different countries and the availability of substitutes service. You may very well be able to get the headphones replaced here since there is no difference between those who were included in phones AND those that are included with the phones sold in your country. Make an appointment at the genius bar or take it to your local CENTER and see what they can do for you.

  You can use ripple with Visual Studio...

  What I do is to create a directory on my machine that has my application in it, then go into Visual Studio and select: «File-> Open-> Web Site...» »

  Then I browse and select the directory where I created my app.  It will then open this directory as a Web site in Visual Studio.

  When I want to run and debug my application, I press "start without debugging".  This will launch the ASP.NET development for the project server so that I can type in the URL.

  I then open the URL in the ripple.  I can just edit the files in Visual Studio, then press refresh (F5) in waving to refresh the content of my application.

  No, you can't use a Photo cartridge instead a black cartridge. Photo black and black are not the same and that they are not interchangeable. Here a link to a document that I site the prior statement which also goes to explain why the photo cartridges have been renamed and the differences in the picture and Black cartridges.   I use Firefox v12 to open a hyperlink to a Web site that points to a door MS Word Document to download.

  Then, we are asked to open the file with MS Word (default), which is our installed version of MS Word 2010.

  Firefox then renames the file by adding a .docx file name for example filename.doc.docx. MS Word 2010 opens with the error "invalid file format", which is correct that Firefox has renamed.

  Is there a fix or a workaround for this?

  You can try to delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder to reset all the actions file.
