  • Upgrade from CS2 to CS3? (for Windows XP)

Hi, guys. I'm new here. And I only signed up for the forums so I could ask for help! Haha! So, let's go...

I recently started using Adobe CS2.

I signed up for the 30 day trial of RadLab by Totally Rad. It worked fine, but my trial expired before I could finish the pictures that I had been editing. So I uninstalled the RadLab trial, signed for a new trial with a different and re-installed e-mail address. Only, this time, RadLab would not work. So I contacted Totally Rad and the guy told me that RadLab won't work on CS2. It must be CS3 or higher. (I'm still confused as to how RadLab worked 30 days on my CS2 if it only allegedly works on CS3 or higher)...

So now, I'm looking to move from CS2 to CS3... but I don't know where to look. I tried Google, but nothing seems to match what I'm looking for. I wouldn't be upgraded all the way up to CS5, because I don't think that my PC can handle. (I was informed that CS5 takes a lot of space, and I don't think that my computer is strong enough to hold it all. My abilities are very limited. Even with CS2, I couldn't open/edit all at once.)

I say all this, to ask the following question...

How can I do to upgrade from CS2 to CS3, and it cost me an arm and a leg? I'm on a very tight budget ($150 is the highest absolute , I'm ready to go). I am unemployed and money is very tight.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi country... I just checked and RadLab also works with Photoshop Elements, and it's only about $75 right now!

  • Can not run the upgrade of Mavericks from the App store

I have an old iMac, I'm trying to update and I can't get the upgrade of the Mavericks to run from the App Store. It's an iMac 7.1. I upgraded manually it 10.5. ? to 10.6.8. I then went to updates in the app store. Mavericks and El Capitan have been listed. I've tried both but got the same message:

"We could not complete your request. There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later (4)"

I can't believe there is a problem with the app store, so does anyone have an idea what could be wrong?

  • The upgrade from Vista to Windows 7: How can I make sure that I keep Microsoft Office

A few months back I took advantage of this offer to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 for a discounted price. After that I downloaded the upgrade file, Upgrade Advisor told me that because I'm using Vista business and I was upgrade 7, that my computer would probably be home must pass through with a 'clean install', thus wiping my hard drive.

That's fine with me, I could just move my documents and Favorites on an external hard drive. But I'm afraid that the upgrade will be wipe my Microsoft Office programs.

I bought this computer a few years ago. I don't even know if I bought the program with office bundled with it, or if I bought it separately (and probably the discs are somewhere in storage).

How can I make this update without losing Microsoft Office? Is it possible to confirm if my word has come with my computer or if I installed it separately. If it came with it, and I lose it, certainly there must be a free way for me to recover. Right?

Any other advice for someone planning on the upgrade?

    Thank you!

You're the one who knows if you installed Office.

Office (Word, etc.) comes for free with Windows. you have to buy.

If Office is preinstalled, it was a test.

A clean installation will wipe everything.

    You cannot transfer programs.

It needs to be reinstalled from the original media.

  • HI THE INABILITY TO UPGRADE FROM VISTA TO WINDOWS7, I HAD TO DO A CUSTOM INSTALLATION. ALL MY VISTA FILES WERE PUT IN AN OLD FILE IN WINDOWS, I CAN STILL ACCESS FILES LIKEMS ŒUVRES.

DURING THE UPGRADE FROM VISTA TO 7 W I HAD MANY ATTEMPTS TO UNINSTALL WINDOWS MAIL, WHICH HAS BEEN THE STUMBLING BLOCK TO A NEW INSTALLATION, I ENDED UP MAKING A BET TO LEVEL CUSTOM, WHICH WAS OK, EVERYTHING IS OPERATIONAL, BUT MY OLD WINDOWS FILES HAVE BEEN PLACED IN A SEPARATE FILE OLD WINDOWS THAT I HAVE PROBLEMS TO ACCESS, AS I WANT TO USE FOR EXAMPLE MS WORKS

    Hello

Sounds more like you did a clean install on a new folder without formatting. If this is the case, you can retrieve data from the windows.old folder, but programs like MSWorks will need to be reinstalled from their original installation media. An update includes necessary registry entries and transfer program files, a fresh install in a new folder does not work. Good luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Crazy" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com Windows help - www.rickrogers.org

  • I recently upgraded from XP to 7 and now I can't find a program such as Word or Excel Microsoft.

I recently upgraded from XP to 7 and now I can't find a program such as Word or Excel Microsoft. I might need to go back to the disc image of Windows 7, but I don't know where to find it.

You may not install or use programs in the windows.old folder

MS Office is not provided with any version of win, although the origonal PC manufacturer may have included a trial version.

You must install the origonal program installation media programs and activate with this key programs.

Probably at some stage, you bought a version of MS Office and that is the case you would have the Office key

Navigate the folder windows.old to Programs\MS Office, find winword.exe, and then check the properties/details, what is the product name & Version of the file?

  • If you have upgraded from vista to windows 7, you can then upgrade to windows 8

  • Can I upgrade from Windows 7 home premium 32-BIT to Windows 7 Professional 64-BIT

If I bought Windows 7 Professional upgrade of Windows before my Tech friend screwed up and reinstalled my windows 7-64 BIT FOR a 32-bit, I can use this if upgrade to Windows 7 Professional for a 64-BIT?

previous 1 original Windows - Windows 7-64 BIT

    2nd CURRENT windows-Windows 7 32 bit

WANT TO UPGRADE - Windows 7 Professional 64 BIT

RUN Windows 7-32 BIT UPGRADE TO Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

  • Can I upgrade from Photoshop CS2? [A: Novice Newbie Question...]

Complete the beginner artist only to learn PS and love it.  A free download CS2 year last of the Adobe site.  Have very limited internet usage, cannot use CC (cloud?) so I have to work offline. Can I upgrade to CS5 or?  Thank you!

Some points to note here since the responses you have received so far are not quite accurate:

    1. Download of CS2 that you used is not free. It is provided to people who have already paid for CS2. Anyone can view the page, download the software and use the serial number (no one knows why Adobe did), but it is intended only for existing customers.
    2. There is no upgrade from CS2. He's too old. You can not upgrade to CS5 or CS6.
    3. Your options are to buy a new full version of CS6 or join the Cloud
    4. The cloud doesn't have a continuous internet connection to be used. You download, install and run Cloud software the same way you always have. An occasional internet connection (all 99 days or less) is required for a check of the license, that's all.
    5. Before commit you to any purchase, make sure that your computer and operating system meet the requirements to run the latest version of Photoshop. Much has changed since CS2.
