• How can I get Windows Live to stop sending me email notifications on my calendar?

  I downloaded Windows Live connector so I can receive e-mails directly on my desktop in Outlook.  Recently, I started to receive emails advising me on upcoming stories on my Outlook calendar.  I don't want to receive these emails.  I get notifications from Outlook popup and that's all I want.  I can't find the settings that allow me to stop these messages. This email notification began shortly after the last Microsoft Update download.  If I can't get this off without also turning off my Outlook popup notifications, I just abandon Windows Live and start paying for a messaging connector that I can control it better.

  Update: finally found the answer. It is a bit non-intuitive, because you can not make from within Outlook. You need to connect to your Hotmail/Live account, go to "Calendar" - simpler explanation purposes just make a link to it within the email at the bottom of the sidebar account left. Click on 'Options' in the upper right. On the page options, go to "turn Notifications On or Off ' and deselect 'get the Notifications '.

• Can you get Apple music on old apple tv without antenna gen?

  I'm really cheesed off on uninstalling iTunes Radio from the older generation AppleTV.  I hope someone can tell me what I'm missing, but it seems that the only option to use your subscription to Apple's music with a 3rd generation Apple TV now is to Airplay of another device.  I tried to create a playlist on my Mac which included music I've owned and music from Apple and the only titles in the playlist when I access it from the Apple TV are the ones I own, so I can't yet create a playlist with Apple music in there and read it.  So to "access your music on any device.  I think that really means "access your music on any device that is less than 1 year old"!

  Bottom line, my subscription to Apple's music has less value for me now.  I'm All in on the ecosystem of Apple, but I shouldn't use Airplay to get my Apple music on television.  If I want to do this, I use Pandora and not pay for nothing.

  I know I could buy a new Apple TV and an Apple music app, but I feel like I should have.  Apple should make an application Apple music for 3rd generation, Apple TV, IMO.

  Am I missing something?  Is there another way I can use my subscription of Apple's music on a 3rd generation Apple TV that I'm missing?

• How can I get a live streaming video timecode?

  I have set up a live video feed that works very well.  Server-side, we use the Flash Media Live Encoder, Flash Media Server streaming.   On the server, we checked the box to add a 'Timecode' for video and set it to simply incorporate the time system.

  Client-side I have a SWF file using the FLVPlayback component.  I can't figure out how to get the value of time code on the client.  'totalTime' returns NaN and 'playheadTime' returns the number of seconds from the connected client.   I need to get the time system/temporal being incorporated on the server.

  All my tabs do is "hang up" all the time, especially in the morning (UK), because of this I started to move all my favorites, etc. to Google Chrome. I always recommend FF for people, but not more than it is unreliable, slow and frustrating. A lot of people, I spoke with on Facebook, etc. all the same problems of State. Developers, I suggest you address these issues seriously, because you lose users FAST!

  A known issue with firefox is a setting for the maximum number of connections, which sometimes caused Windows to freeze on Firefox 7 machines. There is a solution, but it is resolved in Firefox 8 which is published today.

  Xbox Live does very well on a mobile broadband service.  If you want to do multiplayer games, you will definitely need a line physical broadband installed in your home, ADSL or cable otherwise lag will be simply too high to be read correctly, assuming that T-Mobile would not block it.  Mobile broadband services are also usually with very low usage limits.  For example a few GB per month, which can be chewed by downloading just a couple of demos on Xbox Live.
