HP P6 - 2326, Winn 8 is installed

New office with Win 8 HP is installed.  Can I remove Win 8 and do a clean install of Vista Ultimate 64?  My work requires Vista.  Thank you

Hello:

Before attempting to install Vista, I have a set of recovery disks where you find all the drivers for Vista.

There will be none for your PC on the support page.

To help you get started, here are the links to the drivers I should work for your PC.

1 chip set. First, install and restart. First download is what you want.

original title: try to install clean vista

You must set your BIOS to start on the DVD from the beginning to the top.

You have a good DVD of Vista (OEM/upgrade or full version) and NOT only a recovery disk provided by the manufacturer of the PC (or you burn you).

For a DVD upgrade, follow the method here and make sure you format your HARD drive thanks to the tools of "advanced install" on the DVD.

If you have a full version of Vista rather than a version upgrade then just do the first part of the above procedure.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

  • Do a clean install of Windows Vista 32 8.1; advice on the new partition formats.

Hi, I'm going to do my clean install of Windows Vista 32 8.1 today.

Need advice on the size for my new partition (s).

    Currently defined as the partitions:

    Total: free:

    OS (c                          99.7G          11.9G

    Data (D G 111, 14.5 G)

    HP_Recovery (E 12.0 G 1.97 G)

    I am running:

    Laptop HP Pavilion DV9700 Entertainment

    32 Vista Home Premium, SP1

Basically I want a suitable partition for the new Windows OS 8.1 (more room for restore points).

And the rest of the data area, I guess, as if I had originally.

Does anyone have any other ideas, because I start from scratch.

    Hi davisj-oaktree.

  • Can I clean install on HP vista 32 to Win 7 Professional 64 with new ssd dv3

    Can someone tell me please

    I have 2 questions:

1: if I enter new SSD in my pavilion dv3, running on vista 32-bit, can I then install new version recently purchased windows 7 Professional 64-bit instead of 32 bit installation, or should it be 32-bit. ?

2: I printed a Wiindows 7 upgrade report and it says that my processor is: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU [email protected] with 3 GB of memory and it says my upgrade options are 32-bit windows 7 Home premium or ultimate. This does not change and will it work with the professional version, because it will be a clean install on a new ssd?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Hello:

    The T6500 is a 64-bit processor.

As a result, you should have no problem upgrade from Vista 32 bit to W7 64-bit.

You must start from the W7 x 64 installation DVD.  You cannot run it from a 32-bit windows desktop.

When you get to the install window now and click Next, the upgrade option will be grayed out.

You must perform a custom (clean) installation when moving from a 32-bit to a 64-bit operating system.

I'm not quite sure on why it is said that you cannot move to W7 Pro if you can upgrade to W7 Ultimate.

  • Can I downgrade from Win Vista HomePremium 64 OEM Win XP 64? And what key should I use?

I have a DELL with WIN VISTA Home Premium OEM 64 and I need it downgrade to WIN XP 64.
Some older programs don't work correctly on VISTA and I don't need to spend a lot of money for an upgrade to WINDOWS 7.

So please don't tell me to upgrade just tell me if it is posible to DOWNGRADE.

    Hello

    No, it is not possible.

There is no right to Downgrade to XP to Vista Home Premium.

They apply only to Vista Business and Ultimate.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/OEM/en/licensing/sblicensing/pages/downgrade_rights.aspx#fBid=A_rIkOV3fe8?desktop

    You can try to install these programs in Compatibility Mode;

"Using Windows 7 or Vista Compatibility Mode.

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-compatibility-mode/

If this does not work, you will be to see if Dell will provide XP drivers for your model computer, then find a place to buy XP.

    See you soon.

How can I do to get the MS DOS programs? I have more drives. Is it possible to download the programs I had? MS will be able to see that the key is stored somewhere in my computer or external hard drive?

A backup does not recover programs, only data.
If you did a clean install of the program keys that are lost, so you have to install the origonal with all key media programs

  • Can I use external recovery disk to do clean install of Windows Vista?

    Hello

The hard drive in my old PC has not totally. I have a CD of the manufacturer of the PC which is labeled

    Windows Vista Edition Home Premium

    External recovery (32-bit)

(For distribution with a new PC only) .

I was hoping to buy a new hard drive and use this disc to do a clean install of Vista. Is this possible with this drive?

Unfortunately, I can't support this constructor because they went bankrupt a few weeks ago, and their website has been taken down.

    Thank you.

I have now managed to fix the problem and install Vista successfully by, in the BIOS, changing to AHCI to IDE.

  • I can't get Age of Empires III to install on my Vista Ultimate 64 system!

I tried to install several times without success.  I don't even get an error message!  The installation box runs through the routine of preparation and then closes without any report either.

I did some research and found quite a long thread on this forum since 2009 by a person called Summerbreeze who seemed to have a similar problem.  After several posts back the thread died suddenly without any apparent resolution.  Apparently, it is possible to get this game to work on Vista because I keep seeing questions and reports on various hardware issues with Vista users.

I am running Vista Ultimate 64, SP2, on a workstation Intel S5000VXNSATA that has two processors dual core Xeon 5130 and 4 GB of RAM.  My video configuration is a dual monitor connected to a graphics NVIDIA Quadro FX 3450/4000 SDI card that carries the 256 MB of RAM on board.  I have 2 hard drives of 160 GB configured in RAID 0, but I have only about 50 free BM for the moment.  I am currently compressing readers in an attempt to free up space.

Any of my equipment from the list of incompatibility and I certainly sufficient power to run this thing, then why the problems?

    Thank you

    J

To install Age of Empires 3 on your system, you need at least2 GB of free hard disk space, I suggest to clean up disk space on the system and then try to install Age of Empires 3 on the system.

You can also visit the link provided below for more information onAge of Empires 3 , including the required configuration:

  • What can I reinstall/upgrade Vista Ultimate OEM 32 bit Vista Ultimate 64-bit using the upgrade CD that I bought?

Please help me with the steps I must follow to upgrade/reinstall my Vista Ultimate OEM 32 bit Vista Ultimate 64-bit.  I bought the upgrade CD, but I keep reading that I can't upgrade, I have to re - install.  How do, or have I just wasted my money?

    Thank you

    David

The two DVD come in the box of Vista Ultimate.  The same upgrade key works for both.  The procedure is to let the 32-bit version on the hard drive for the verification of license and a custom installation will work.  The hardware hash will be the same and the product key is the same for the activation servers to happen anyway as a repair installation.
