  Huh... frustrating indeed.

  Error 403 sometimes arises with the creative cloud, but Captivate is no desktop app not part of the CC. I would hazard a guess that there is a problem with the Download Manager. Just to be sure, if you don't have it already done, try to send the form using the latest version of another browser like Firefox or edge. Make sure you have a stable connection to internet (ideally by cable) and temporarily disable any firewall/anti-virus security. Some more tips on downloading can be found here: download and install the trial non-Adobe Creative Cloud apps.

  If this does not work, you can try to access the trial via direct download. Before you begin your download, follow the instructions very important to halfway down the page linked otherwise you will get an error.   I see by clicking on the link of the VERSION of the APP that a new desktop CC version was released (3.5.0.206), but when I click on the download link for desktop PC CC on the Adobe website, it still installs 3.4.3.189.  How can I get the new version?  I'm having a lot of trouble with CC crashing all the time.

  only trial versions are available online.  After you have entered your serial number for the software cc, you enable the trial to the full version.

  Click Help > activate to enter your serial number in a trial installed.
