Can not find videos in Windows Media Center
Hi, I have a problem acsessing the video files through Windows Media center. I play through my Xbox earlier today, so I know for sure that this is not a mistake of the codex or something like that. If I find videos under libraries of all the videos I want are listed and they are listed in Windows Media Player, but when I go into Windows Media Center can only be folders that are empty. I am using windows 7 by the way. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
It solved!
To listen on that when I uninstalled Nero in the morning, he has deleted the. Details of registry AVI.
Re-install, and you're on your way! (At least for me.)

Hi I80Cruiser,
1. When did you start to question?
2. what type of files you are trying to read?
3. what exactly happens when you try to listen to music in the media center or the reader?
4. you receive an error message or codes?
You can read the following article and try to rebuild the library which may help to solve the problem:

It's VERY odd and very annoying!
I set up my laptop next to my Xbox 360 with an Ethernet cable directly connecting the laptop to the XBOX, and the laptop is on our wireless network. The XBOX has access to the internet (shared through the laptop), and when I test the PC connection and the connection XBOX Live sound fine to all.
So I'll try to set up Windows Media Center, it works great! I "Add Extender", put the code to 8 digits. It passes through the installation, all works, no problems and WMC opens on the XBOX, I can go into my library, watch movies etc... works great!
However! As soon as I turn my XBOX off and back on, it will fail to connect to the WMC.
He says his 'find Windows Media Center PC' which seems to work fine, it goes to the ' Windows Media Center loading screen "contact...". ", and after about 10 seconds, I get an error"failed to connect the Xbox 360 could not connect to windows Media Center PC. Make sure that the PC is turned on and connected to the network.
I tried to configure the Extender repeatedly, whenever it works fine until I restart the XBOX... :/ - and its strange cause I still the internet connection (shared through the laptop) after turning on the XBOX, its really JUST Media Center which is screwing around.
She continues to keep trying to connect then repeatedly fails.
If I wanted to, I could re-configuration the WMC Extender EVERY TIME turn off the Xbox, which works the first time without fault, but that's all just stupid.
I can't really understand what is happening here... any help would be appreciated.

Audio stuttering then crash by watching the video with Windows Media center
I'm having a problem with Windows Media Center which seems to have left me speechless. Whenever I have try and watch live TV or recorded using Media Center program, he starts to play to repeat the first second of audio for about 6 seconds and then stops playing gives me an video error and won't let watch me something else. I have a Setup Xbox 360 as an Extender and having no problem whatsoever. The strange thing is that, if I open the program saved directly from Explorer windows with media center, it will play well. If I stop and try and then click RESUME He stutters and gives me this video error.
It used to work fine until I started to play with the audio settings from 5.1 to 7.1 audio in the windows configuration settings. I changed the settings in-game your 7.1 speakers. Actually I tried to switch back, but when I try to 'Test' the speakers it gives a sound like it is stuttering and I still get the video error when I try to play. update the following drivers: -.
Audio driver
Graphics card driver
Driver card TV Tuner
You may need to reset if necessary WMC.
Run the Setup again.
Open WMC > tasks > settings > General > installation Windows Media Center > rerun the installation
Does that help?
If the above does not help then try to reset WMC: -.
Open Control Panel > uninstall a program > turn Windows features on or off > scroll multimedia features > uncheck the box against Windows Media Center > follow the instructions on the screen > Reboot > open again to turn Windows features on or off in the control panel > scroll multimedia features > check the box against Windows Media Center.
Now reconfigure WMC again.
You can also go for a System Restore-select any restore point when it did not have this problem.

Can not capture TV signal in Media Center
Hello
IM from Australia,
We recently had a new antenna installed in our building and they designed the antenna to a different and blocked transmission of the single tower due to us being between the two rounds and he in interference.
The new tower is the Sydney - Kings Cross Tower (East) and it is on a different frequency to the other Tower range.
e.g. channel 7 Sydney broadcasts to 182.25 of Artarmon MHz or 695,25 MHz of Kings Cross.
I can't get the Media Center to find the channels in the upper frequency band, even though both my TV and Mediaportal running on the same PC, using the same tuners can receive the signal when I specify the correct Tower (and it scans the bandwidth).
is there a way to make Windows 7 Media Center to analyze these frequencies?
Dave
Hi Dave,.
I suggest to access the link below and follow the information provided by Sean Zhu Thursday, November 12, 2009 06:49and check if it helps you analyze the frequency in Windows Media center.
I hope this helps. Let us know the results.

can not find script 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\ubais.vbe' file
When I start my computer I get the following message "can not find script file"C:\WINDOWS\system32\ubais.vbe". What should I do?
Hi Abraham Varghese.Run a full system virus scan and malware scan to check any virus or malware cause this behavior.
Do a full scan of the system with the Windows malicious software removal tool and search for malicious software present on your PC.
Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool to help remove specific prevalent malicious software from computers that are running Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows XP, or Windows 2000. After you download the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool, the tool runs one time to check your computer infections per prevalent malicious software (including Blaster, Sasser, and Mydoom) and helps remove infections it finds. Microsoft releases a new version of the tool each month.
Check out the link for more details below:
You can also use the Microsoft security scanner to perform the scan your system online.
Check if this helps you resolve this problem. Keep me updated on the status of the issue.

Separated from this thread.
The installation is successful, in my case; However, when I try to use the function search I get an error message 'No internet connection' and close the search window.
As this solution is supposed to be a local, I am at a loss as to what is happening. Streaming movies works btw, so I don't have an Internet connection available and functional.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Edit: I have Media Center running on Windows 8 Pro.
Hi Florian.
I appreciate if you could help us with more information.
