Can not open says attachment error message "the file doesn't have a program that are associated with."
Can't open some attachments. Error message says: "File has no program associated with it. HOW CAN I FIX IT?
Fix it by installing the application used to create the file or application that can read the file. For example, if it's a .doc file attached, need you Word, Word Viewer, or OpenOffice installed in order to open the attachment. Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]

Whenever I start my computer, I get the message: "this file doesn't have a program associated with to perform this action...". "for my external drives. I use these daily backup USB drives. It seems that the backup will run, if I acknowledge this message by clicking OK. If this is not the case - it won't. Why is that happening and how can I solve this problem?
You can repair the associations used to readers. One of my fellow MVPS, Shawn (no relationship lol) has default binding settings in his site here:
http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/19449-default-file-type-associations-restore.html
Just scroll down to find the link of 'reader', click it, and launches the link. You can do the same thing with "folder" and "directory" to be thorough.

Error message: "this title doesn't have a program associated with it."
The above message shows in EACH file, I try to open any of my files. I don't know how to "create an association in folder under Control Panel Options' because I do not know what tab click after clicking on Folder Options.
The problem seems to have appeared shortly after I made a DIY Power Boost for Windows XP Norton. but the only program that I had deleted (wrongly) to save space was Dell Network Assistant.
When this problem arose, I was using Word 2010 on a trial basis. The trial ends on January 31.
I can't create new files or work on files that I created recently. Help!

Yesterday when I turned on my computer (Windows Vista) and click the internet icon, a box appears and says "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the control panel of binding together. I called my internet provider and they think I may have a virus. They asked if I had been invited in the past two days in quarantine anything. I did about two days ago, I was looking for clip art and warned there was a risk and asked if I wanted to quarantine items. I clicked 'yes '. But I had trouble getting Internet for two days. Is it possible to fix this?
Yesterday, my son 'right click' on the RIC and was able to do to open up, but I can't today.

Hi Joanne,
I just downloaded the file without problem. Not sure that it is an EPS file? You will need to open it in an application that supports files .ai (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.). Let us know if you're still having problems.
Thank you

RichardIf a pre-installed program is damaged you can un install it. Then go into the Recovery Manager and re install the software.
Run Recovery Manager type in the box or the search box to the start menu. Re install the power to go and then to search for updates to the program.

Error message: "the file names would be too long for the destination folder.
I move the files from internal hard drive to external hard drive using cut and paste. I get a message "the file name would be too long for the destination folder. You can shorten the file name and try again, or try a location with a shorter path. "I then gives me choices to skip or cancel. What happens to files that are ignored? Are they deleted? I don't want to lose all the data, but there are more 2 000 files with this problem, so passing by and rename each one really isn't a viable solution. I don't really understand how the file names were originally created/saved about a problem that is only now that I want to move them. The disc source and destination are NTFS. Is there a solution for this? It is imperative that no data is lost. Thanks for any help you can offer.

N ° to check that what I say is correct, create a new folder
for the purposes of the trial and to make a copy of some files. To ensure that
one of them has a long name (rename if necessary), and then try to copy
These files on the external drive. When you get the message, choose
'jump' and see what happens. -
Firefox sometimes does not open and an error message is displayed
Sometimes, when I try to open Firefox, it displays an error message saying that the file is not found. I have to close the dialog box and try to open the browser again and again until it actually opens. In general, this happens in the 2nd or the 3rd test, but may take longer. In addition, this only happens whenever I try to open Firefox. Is there a problem in the installation? The program itself works completely fine when I'm on it to open it.
Maybe it's your AntiVirus software take some time to allow Firefox work.
You can temporarily disable or uninstall your AV for that study as a possible reason. Maybe for safety run all such a test if not connected to the internet.
