Can not remove snapshot

In a previous thread, I mentioned problems with Storage vMotion (http://communities.vmware.com/thread/214222) and verification of stereotypes has been proposed. One of my virtual machines had a snapshot, so I went to delete with the Manager of snapshots at the VIC. However the operation never completed and showed the error message 'Operation timed' out after being stuck at 95% for a few minutes. I tried again to remove the snapshot because he was still appear in the Snapshot Manager. Now when I try to delete the ir I get this message: "the request refers to an objexct that no longer exists, or never existed."

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Hello

When remove you the snapshot, you are actually 'commit changes', this could be a lengthy process, depends on how the changes were there.

Virtual Center will give you "opération Timeout" error 15 minutes by "default."

This does not mean that the operation will not end. Just give it time, it takes sometimes hours to complete.

The Board of Directors for the deletion of the snapshot from research, and there are many of us who have encountered this, including me.

It is completed then and you'll see not snapshot in the Snapshot Manager, files related to the snapshot is deleted in the VM folder also

+++Please note all useful messages.

  • Outlook Express 6 - recently emptied my folder deleted items, but now I can not remove any messages in my Inbox

For my sins, I always use Outlook Express 6 for my e-mail personal. Recently, I've erased my deleted items folder, but now I can not remove any messages in my Inbox. Any ideas?

    Thank you

Outlook Express has never reduced the file size of the file folder deleted during the clearance of the output folder. Instead he left a lot of dead space that has not been used for something beyond too much space.

The good news is that if you simply, locate the Outlook Express mail storage folder and delete the Deleted.dbx file, Outlook Express will recreate a new vacuum the next time it starts up.

    1. Open Outlook Express and access Tools, Options of dialogue,Maintenance tab, click store folder and copy the location. Close Outlook Express.
    2. Click on Start, run or the Windows key + R to rap then paste in the location previously copied and press on . The storage folder should open.
    3. Remove or rename the Deleted.dbx file.
    4. Close the file, and then restart Outlook Express.

That should solve your problems of deletion. You can also run a Compact on your other files .dbx tabmaintenance Tools, Options dialog box.

    Suspend failed

    ~ #

So what to do? Please help me out here

I have now found a solution to my problem:

Using the ESXi esxcli command to turn off a virtual machine

The esxcli command can be used locally or remotely to turn off a virtual machine running on ESXi 5.x or later. For more information, see commands esxcli vm vSphere command-line Interface Reference.

    1. Open a console session where the esxcli is available, either in the shell of ESXi, vSphere Management Assistant (vMA) or where the vSphere command-line Interface (vCLI) is installed.
    2. The list of virtual classes, identified by world ID, UUID, display name and path to the .vmx configuration file by running this command:

      esxcli vm process list

    3. Turning off one of the virtual machines in the list by using this command:

esxcli vm process kill --type= [soft, hard, force] --world-id= WorldNumber

      Notes:
There are three ways of powering down. Soft is the most graceful, hard performing an immediate stop, and force should be used only as a last resort.

Another power off of the syntax of the command is: esxcli vm process kill [ soft, hard, force] t w WorldNumber

Repeat step 2 and confirm that the virtual machine is no longer running

This is the green arrow disappear and I can now delete my virtual machine.

  • VSphere 4 shots accumulate and can not remove

Hello, this is my first post of time so please excuse anything I can't forget the necessary information.

I vsphere 4 4.1.0 260247 installed on a single server and have a virtual machine that I have problems with the snapshots does not properly

Basically, we have the third-party backup software that uses snapshots of vmware for backups.  What I have noticed recently, it is only for the performance of the backup task, she would declare that it is impossible to remove the snapshot because the file is in use.

Now, my problem is that it seems I have 40 or so snapshots and I tried power off the machine, creating a manual snapshot, and then deleting all snapshots, but it still does not remove the browser data store.

I will attach my vmdk, log file and a snapshot of the data store Explorer and the commissioning of the disc.

What I have tried is to clone the virtual machine; This machine is thick 1.5 TB and I place an iscsi with 1.8 TB of space and it is said that he can not clone the virtual machine as the target data store has insufficient space.  It seems to show that more 3.77 TB of space is used on the data with the VM store... don't know why, but I'm betting it's because of the snapshots

Needless to say I'm not under any backups until I have this problem.  My other question is that the data store fills these clichés.

Anyone out there can help you all hope of rate

    Thanks for the time

If you have another 100% the same space, you could make a clone of it and have the committed snapshot. then you can work more with the backup provider to limit these risks to appear again...

Try to create a new profile.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but make sure not to copy corrupted files.

What problems do you have that you want to reset Firefox?

Firefox creates a new folder of old data of Firefox on the desktop?

If reset you Firefox and a new profile is created and some of your data (bookmarks, passwords, cookies, form data) is automatically imported and your current profile will be moved on the desktop (old data of Firefox).

Unfortunately, the current versions of Firefox will be only to remember the password for a domain and not separate passwords for a specific path.
So if the user name is the same Firefox then saves the password that has been used as a last name.
I don't know if there are extensions fill form or password that can overcome this limitation.
