Can someone explain, crawlersys.lck on the Web catalog?

OBI 11 g, recently I noticed a file in the root of my web catalog called crawlersys.lck. It wasn't there before the start of the referral services, but later, he was there. Everyone has noticed this or can anyone explain this file and its relationship to the web catalog / presentation services?

Thanks in advance,
Christian
