  I guess you are trying to connect to the internet using the WiFi connection.
  What happens if you connect the laptop to the router using the LAN cable?

  Do you have problems using other browsers such as Chrome or Firefox?

  I plugged a wireless (NetGear) adapter to my PC to be able to access the internet via the card my husband Verizon Wireless.  He says that I'm connected to the internet, but the only thing I get when I try to connect to any site is error 404 web page not found.  It's probably something simple, I need to set up on my desktop, but I can't find a way to solve this problem.

I actually got a response via Widgetbox.com yesterday.  I had to go to the workstation, Panel, network and Internet Options, Internet connections, connections and go to LAN settings and uncheck all checked it (the checked was something to do with a proxy server).  And that's all that it was him - everything has worked correctly!  Hope this helps someone else.

  Hi Marie Thérèse: It turns out that the problem with our provider ISP share the connection between the telephone lines and network service: we called our provider ISP on this issue after you reset Internet Explorer as well as restore to our file system.  The problem has been resolved.  As a matter of interest for others who may have a similar problem with Internet Explorer, we suggest that he contact their ISP provider to determine if the problem can be solved.  Please contact me.  * E-mail address is removed from the privacy *

  After installation, try to use firefox and chrome, it wouldn't go anywhere, IE edge works very well. Tried to reinstall both programs, does not work

  One of the solutions proposed in this thread is to reset the Windows TCP/IP stack. In another thread on this reset, several users have posted their newspapers which doubled indicating "access denied" you probably need to run cmd.exe as administrator to overcome that if this happens to you:
