• Upgrade to El Capitan and I don't have the permission to the folders in my old user account

  I've just upgraded to El Capitan on my Mac Pro computer to office from the beginning of 2008, but didn't know I needed to save my files to install for once it was done I noticed that everything had disappeared.   In the window read (second photo), click the lock and authenticate you.

  Click on the button +.

  You select from the list of users and Add.

  Select your username in the list of information get and you give read/write access

  Click on the gear menu and select "" the owner do.

  Click the gear menu again and select apply to attached.

  You should now be able to access everything in this folder. If you find your documents there, I would just move from their locations in the old user folder in the new user folder.
