  Thank you, gentlemen, to find a "solution" to this particular behavior of Firefox. It is really curious that even if the screen is blank, you can indeed save the .pdf Ghost and then open the saved file to view.   PowerPC applications have not been supported for many years now since, OS X 10.7.x, you need to look for an alternative to this app or contact the developers of Spotify to see if they have a version for El Capitan 10.11.x
