  Hi, I have the following case. When I try to print to (create) a PDF file by using Office or any other Windows application that can print, I get the following error: "error in reading of Adobe PDF settings file: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings\Standard.joboptions. I tried to do what you suggested in similar cases but did not work. I have Adobe Acrobat Standard 10.1.6 and I had this problem since my update to this version. I can not print even with different settings than the "Standard.joboptions".

  Please try the following steps

  1. open the Control Panel / dialog 'Regional and Language Options' on XP and Windows 7

  2. click on the button 'Customize' tab 'Regional Options '.

  3. Select decimal as "decimal symbol". Press OK, apply

  4. launch Distiller

  This particular compatibility problem iOS 9 has been fixed in Adobe Reader for iOS version 15.1.0 (released August 11, 2015).

  Open PDF documents from other applications (Mail, Safari) via the function "open in" should now appear in the sections 'Local' and 'Recent '.

  When I select "save under" a file PDF downloaded, I'm presented with a window "save under" vacuum with only the possibility to enlarge the window or close it.  I can't save a PDF file on my computer.  I work from a Mac and have saved PDF downloaded frequently school and for the first time this problem from Wednesday.  Advice to fix anyone know?  Other types of files (Word, Excel, etc.) except very well.

  The default "Save as" dialog Acrobat DC is different from the dialogue box you had in earlier versions of Acrobat, it also allows you to record in the clouds and previous locations that you saved the files. It is possible that when Acrobat tries to connect to the 'cloud', it runs into problems. You can try to disable this feature to see if this brings your backup in the back of the box: open Acrobat Preferences, then go to the "General" category and uncheck "show the online storage when you save files:

  In the print dialog box make sure "Print to a file" is not checked in the settings advanced.

  I run Acrobat Professional so that I can change/brand place/comment in the PDF files. At one point recently I noticed "Acrobat Reader DC" in the name of the file at the top of the page. I do not have ask this or do anything to get there that I was aware of this. I adjusted for the new look of the screen and edited several files without incident. But yesterday, I opened a large file which had been addressed to me in Dropbox. When I downloaded and opened it and tried to change it, the selection tool was not aligned properly, so the selected areas were elsewhere on the page, where the cursor was. I restarted my computer and was able to change the file more or less normally (I noticed more little glitches with this CD player but I can live with them). But when tried to save the file with a new file name, like I always do to differentiate files that changed since the original files, the save window is empty. There is no option to save the file with a new file name. In fact. There is no option to save the file with the changes! I thought maybe it was a problem with this file only, but when I tried to edit a file provided by regular e-mail, I met the same problem trying to save to a new file name. What is the relationship between my old Acrobat Professional and Acrobat Reader DC? Why can't save files normally? I managed to save the changes I did by saving it in the cloud to Adobe (I had to then because I could not send the file by e-mail because of its size - I tried to send it to me)., but I'd rather widely navigate in Windows Explorer to work with files.   I can't save pdf files with the same name on the network drive in our society. I have full control over this network drive and can do anything create/read/write/change. Other programs work fine, but not Adobe Reader. I can save a pdf file with a different name, but when I try to save as in XI or replace as in DC had an error: the file is read-only or opened by someone else. Save the document under a different name or in a different folder.

  Follow this thread to reset the preferences for the acrobat software. : - How to reset preference settings in Acrobat format.

  Also please check if this file is saved to the network drive or local, if its network on Please save it on local disk & then check. Make sure also that this preview pane must be closed in windows Explorer.
