SAP check printing with OCRA Questions
We are researching the possibility to print cheques from SAP ERP (ECC 6.0) which have a requirement of the Bank for the use of fonts OCRA for analysis. Everything I found, it does not appear that all HP laserjet printers have the integrated police. Is this correct? We have a range of HP printers that would probably be used (Laserjet 2420, P3005, P3015, etc..)
Old posts, I see that there could be 3 options to print fonts OCRA, but the only documentation we saw which refers to setting sapscript seems look option (a) below.
"Assuming that the printer has NOT OCRA as an integrated policy, you must do one of the following values:
b get a font cartridge or DIMM (assuming that the printer supports this). you would then have to say your print/request driver (somehow) that the police was available.
b get a soft-font loaded on a hard drive in the printer (but I do not think that LJ4000tn will have a hard drive?) and similarly arrange for your print/apply driver to use it.
(c) to obtain a downloadable app-police (encapsulated PCL format) that you download to the printer when required; again, you will need to organize (somehow) to your print/apply driver to use. »
I guess my main questions are: HP makes all the necessary documentation for impression ocra in conjunction with SAP? Font cartridges the best option and is there documentation to use?
Thank you for your time,
Shawn.
Shawn
Glad to be of assistance.
Note that you may need several different Cartridge/SIMM/DIMM hardware Add-ons to support different target device models (and some are not supported at all?).
The 'downloadable soft police' option should work with most modern LaserJet printers (i.e. those that support PCL5) except for the cheaper "host-based" ones.
But I have no idea (if possible) how you would say SAP to use such a font.

Hello
We just started to use the Xero accounting software and it generates invoices in PDF format. When the Preview on screen before you print it shows correctly, but once printed, it prints with an exclamation mark to chance on the invoice due date, for example. May 15 201? instead of May 15, 2015. It does this on each invoice, to calculate all in our office. I contacted Xero and they say they produce the invoice correctly and that it may be a problem to Adobe. When you print in overview (on mac), it prints properly but not in Adobe Reader. Any ideas?
Currently using Mac OS X 10.10.3, Safari 8.0.5, Adobe Reader 11.0.11 (or the previous version - I though updated might set but not luck).
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help us with that.
Cordially ,
Andrew.
Hi André,.
Can you share an example of file to [email protected] so that I can check my end.
What printer you are using? Should I use a PostScript or PCL driver?
Have you tried 'Print as Image' and verified?
Kind regards

It is necessary to check all documents printed with the Flattener Preview before sending it to print?
Only if they have transparency, and even then is not necessarily, although certainly will tell you what is happening to interact. I would not hesitate to consult the overprint preview, however.

Hello!
I recently acquired an Officejet Pro 8600 and immediately connected to my network wireless as stated in the manual. No other type of connection has been used beforehand and the operating system is Windows 7 64 bit.
After that the installation of the printer driver appears twice each time that a program asks me to select a printer from the drop of the printing devices in the typical menu of preparation of printing.
There is an entry for "Officejet Pro 8600 (network)" and something in the sense of 'HP95CDN' (Officejet Pro 8600). I can't remember the exact names off the top of my head, but it is the name of the printer with the 'network' in brackets in one case and a kind of shortcut ID printer with full name in parentheses in the other case.
According to the program, one of the options gives the desired impression while the other simply causes a queue of indelible impression for the name of the unit in question that is stuck to a few KB of data transmission.
Usually printing works with the device with the identification of the printer in its name, but I recently had a case where with LibreOffice printing only works with the other choice.
Can someone explain to me exactly means?
See you soon,.
Pete
Direct entry Wireless will be visible under menu so direct wireless is on... However, since you are able to print another icon (not the network icon) I assume direct wireless is off coz you will not be able to print from wireless directly on the printer if you are connected to the router.
I believe that the icon of the printer (not the network icon) has a port WSD assigned and is automatically detected by the operating system and installed.
Go to service window and check if you have any input that says function Discovery Provider Host and see if it is started. Try to stop the service, and remove the icon of the printer (not the network icon) in the print server properties.
Restart the PC and check if the icon comes back or try to uninstall and reinstall

Why my printer does not print with Windows 8?
Why my printer does not print with Windows 8?
Did you just upgraded or purchased a new computer with Windows 8, and now you can't get your printer to work? If so, this can help you. Many people have questions about the installation of their printer on a new OS. This will help you answer these questions and make sure you get everything installed.
Before you start
Before you try to install the printer on a Windows 8, you should check to make sure that the printer is compatible with the new OS. The link below will give you a list of printers that will work in Windows 8.
http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03168175
If you have upgraded your computer to Windows 8 formed another version of Windows, make sure all software uninstall complete of your printer. It should still print, but to use all the features, you will need to reinstall the software, if available.
Another thing to consider is how you want to connect the printer to the computer.
- USB. You must ensure that you have a USB cable which does not exceed 6 feet (about 2 m). Be sure to connect the printer directly to the computer. Do not use a USB hub.
- Ethernet cable. Make sure you have the network configuration, you have a free cable port on the router, and you have an available Ethernet cable.
- Wireless. You must ensure that you have the configuration of the wireless network, and you have the password of the wireless network.
1. installation Via USB
Installation via USB in Windows 8 became much simpler for users of HP printer. In other versions of the Windows operating system, you need to launch the installation and wait that it asks for the USB connection. If you do not, you will need to uninstall the printer from the devices and printers folder and then launch the installation. In Windows 8, which won't be a problem. If you plug the USB cable from the printer and then install the printer software, work remains. Now for in depth instructions on installing the printer via the USB port click on the link below.
http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03521864
2 installation Via an Ethernet network connection
For an Ethernet connected printer, the installation is disconcerting. All you have to do is to connect the printer to the network. Once you have done so, Windows 8 will automatically install the drivers for you. Then, all you have to do is install the rest of the software, if available. It's really as simple as that.
http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html
3 installation Via a wireless network connection.
For a wireless printer, network installation is disconcerting. All you have to do is to connect the printer to the network. Once you have done so, Windows 8 will automatically install the drivers for you. Then, all you have to do is install the rest of the software, if available. It is roughly the same as just Wireless Ethernet installation.
http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html
Alternative installation methods
With Windows 8, the drivers of many printers are installed with the operating system. These are called pilots InOS, since they come built-in to the operating system. If you have one of these printers, you should have to do simply connect it to the computer via USB, or connect to the network via Ethernet or wireless. Once you have that makes Windows will take care of the rest. There are other methods of installation of your printer if normal methods don't work for some reason any. You can install the printer is using the printer, or through Windows Updates Setup Wizard.
Set printer wizard:

Windows Update:

Note: The drivers of Laserjet for the Asia-Pacific and the Japan will come only at a later date. See below the link support site for the availability of the driver. I will update this post once they become available.

OfficeJet 4630: Problem printing with Officejet 4630
I just replaced an OJ4620, who was not black printing, with a new OJ4630. I am now having a problem with the OJ4630.
It prints text most very well, but does not always print the Abobe reader messages. I tried to install a printer driver for the 9800 without great success. It seems that sometimes it will print the pages of Adobe, but most of the time will not. I feel guest, and when I click on print, it does not appear that the message arrives at the printer. The machine will then lock up and I'll have to reboot the system. The thing that puzzles me is that sometimes the feeling will pass, but it doesn't seem to be a reason that I can understand why it happens.
I never had this problem with the 4620, but he feels now.
I have Adobe X and when I check the updates on the site, I thought there is not everything.
Fran

Printing with Windows Live Photo Gallery and Windows Photo Viewer
When you try to print in the above programs (Windows 7 replacements for the old photo and Fax Viewer), there are several issues that I can't understand:
1. I can't find paper of A4 size, only in small sizes.
2. There is only a single print option: ' picture full page ' and not the ability to print size the image half or quarter size as in the old WP & FV.
Where can I find settings similar to WP & FV by which I can choose the page size and the size of the photo on the paper?
Thank you

Print with cardstock on HP Envy 4501
I found on the internet that my Hp Envy 4501 allows you to print with cardstock.
I also met the step by step instructions how to switch your printer to print on cardstock. My problem is when I try to choose a different type of paper, I did not cardstock option. It gives me only options for paper photo and if it is glossy or matte. So my question is can my printer print on cardstock? If so, which option is my best choice to choose when you change the paper, and what type of cardboard can be used?

Hello Sharon,
Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.
I would be grateful if you could answer the following questions:
How the computers are connected? If they are connected as a workgroup or domain?
Method 1: Disable the security software and check if the printer works.
Warning: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
Method 2: You can turn off the Windows Firewall and see if you can print.
- Press the Windows key +X key.
- Select Control Panel.
- Click on the firewallof Windows .
- Select enable the Windows Firewall On or off on the right next to the sign.
- Select the radio buttons Turn off firewall under Private and Public network settings
Warning: after reviewing the issue, turn on the firewall.
Method 3: Refer to the suggestions for the following links.

You can print with a 6s iPhone using a printer no Wifi
How do you print with a 6s iPhone using the printer no WiFi?
Hey,.
I always got WiFi printers in my house and never had to deal with this problem personally, but the following CNET article seems to answer this question:
http://www.CNET.com/how-to/how-to-print-wirelessly-from-your-iPhone-iPad-or-iPod - touch.
My printer is a HP OfficeJet 7500 E910, which allows me to print from any wireless device and my printer is plugged only the power source.
Also, I did not read the entire article carefully, but I would venture to say that if you have a cable to connect your printer to your wireless router, it should appear as a network printer. If your iPhone is connected to the same wireless network as the router is mounted, you should have this success. It would still be printing wireless from your iPhone, but just a different configuration.
Hope this helps, and feel free to respond with thoughts or questions!
Thank you
Michael

How to remove this "trash" to appear?Thank you
Edit: deleted personal information. (philipp)
Could check it out you here:
On Windows, press the Alt key to display the bar menu if necessary:
Display > headers
It seems that you have 'Full' selected instead of "Normal". If you switch Normal, messages print with just the From/to/subject?

HP psc1350 all-in-one: check printer cartridge error will not clear
In the middle of printing of the check print cartridge light error came. The cartridges are faily new and there has been no discoloration. I tried to remove and reinsert the cartridges, disconnect the printer from the computer, disconnect the printer, press Cancel. Error will not clear
Hey @dennisc10,
Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!
I understand that you have some problems with an error light on your PSC 1350 all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.
To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done, this document explains How to solve the blinking lights on the printer.
If after following the above you still can not clear the error, the printer needs to be replaced. You can contact the HP Support by clicking on this link and fill out the form below to discuss the options based on your warranty.
Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to solve the problem or reach some resolution, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.
