Can't type normally to send emails from Outlook Express. Help! Emergency situation

How can I disable the dvorak keyboard, which is only to perform Outlook Express email - I can't answer emails due to the alteration of the keyboard (unless I learn Dvorak in 10 minutes. Don't know how this replacement keyboard has got, "lit. Type the Word documents works very well. I have been studying Dvorak but do not use it. It is a problem of poltergist? kidding... Please please help

I made the switch to Dvorak and love it... but I guess I'd also put off like you if I use QWERTY to my email...

There are a few things you can try.  First, turn on the language bar.   Right-click on an empty space in the tray (usually at the bottom) and select:
Toolbars-> language bar.
This should put a checkmark in front of "Language bar" and a keyboard icon should appear on your screen.  Then, while you are in an Outlook Express window with the [UM] "undesirable" available, click the icon in the keyboard language bar and try to change the 'United States Dvorak' to 'English United States' (or any English you use).

You can also go to the Control Panel then:
Regional and language-> languages (tab) settings-> details (button)
You will then see the installed keyboards.  The default value will be in bold.  Then click on:
The key parameters-> click on "Switch between input languages"-> change Key Sequence
You can see one of the boxes is checked it will allow you to switch between installed keyboard layouts.  On my settings, I checked the "switch Keyboard layout" and checked the 'CTRL' key  On my keyboard, whenever I hit the shift and CTRL keys at the same time, it passes between the languages of two keyboard... but this come into force in the currently active program.

Hope this helps,
JW

Original title: Repetitivet sending emails from Outlook Express

When sending emails from my Outlook Express , the following occurs:

    (1) as usual, send the message falls into my Outbox and begins to be sent.

    (2) when the message was sent, I get a message that "some errors occurred while processing requested tasks" but no actual errors are displayed.

    Hello

Windows XP Service Pack 2 is installed on your computer? To work on this question, see these steps.

It seems that there is a corruption of dbx file.

I suggest you go over your messages out of the Inbox, and then create new folders Outbox and sent items after you move the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

    Reference:

    (a) click onTools

    (b) thenOptions

    (c) selectMaintenance

    (d) Record Store will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files.

    (e) Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste to start and select run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden.

To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders

    Reference:

    (a) clickStart

    (b) Control Panel

    (c) Folder Options icon

    (d) notice, or in Windows Explorer

    (e) Tools

    (f) the Folder Options

    ( viewof g).

With Outlook Express closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them. New ones will be created automatically when you open Outlook Express.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

    Reference:

    (a) clickOutlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open.

    (b) click onthe file

    (c) work offline (or double click working online in the status bar).

    (d) file

    (e) file

    (f) compact all folders. Wait for the compaction to complete.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend about a300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:

    Compact often as specified above.

    Reference:

    (a) in the Tools

    (b) selectOptions

    (c) maintenance:

    (d) uncheck Compact messages in the background and leave it unchecked. (N/a if running XP/SP2).

To use the functionality of the BCC (Blind Carbon Copy), in a new message window, click View | All headers and type the addresses separated by a; Or: Click the button to. You will see your list of contacts and the choice to put them in the To, CC, or BCC field. Click on an address, and then click BCC to add it. Repeat for all of the contacts you want. (Note: most of the providers have limits as to how many messages you can send both a. 25 is common, but it varies).

Put your own address in the box to. That's the only name/address that any recipient will see. If you leave the field empty, some people may not receive e-mail because of message rules they put in place, or restrictions imposed by their ISP.

You can also make an entry in the address book using your e-mail address, but put something like the mailing list in the area of the display.

    *********************

You can also create groups if you send e-mail to the same people often.

To create a group of contacts:

You can create a single group name (or alias) to use when sending a message to several contacts at the same time. Just create a group name and add individual contacts to the group. Then just type the name of the group in the box for when you send mail.

    1. in the address book, select the folder in which you want to create a group. Click New in the toolbar, and then click New Group.

    3. There are several ways to add people to the Group:
    a. to add a person from your address book list, click Select members, and then click a name in the address book list.
    (b) to add a person directly to the group without adding the name to your address book, type the person's name and e-mail address at the bottom of the Properties dialog box and then click Add.
to add a person to both the Group and your address book, click New Contact and enter the appropriate information.
    (d) to use a directory service, click Select members, and then click search. Select a directory service in the drop-down list at the end of the text box. After finding and selecting an address, it is automatically added to your address book.
    4. Repeat for each addition until your group is defined.

    Note

    a. to view a list of your groups separately from the list of address book in the address book on the view menu, make sure that folders and groups is selected.

    b. you can create multiple groups, and contacts can belong to several groups.

If you want to send to a group without addresses are displayed for each recipient, open the address book and make a new entry. Enter the name of the group in the area of the display, but use your address. (Some Internet service providers require a legitimate address in the line to and recipients will know it's from the Group).

Click on the button to. Enter the name of the group using your address. Enter the group in the BCC field.

Deleted items is probably damaged. On the off chance that you want messages to be saved in deleted items, (a garbage can), move them to a local folder, you create and then follow these steps.

You don't offer a lot of information and a new thread of your own would have been better than locking it.

Do you have an error message when you try to send? If so, post it. If this is not the case, make sure that there are no messages in the Outbox.

If there is, check: file | Work offline and in: reviews | Layout: uncheck the preview pane. You can remove them now?
