Can't update XP SP3. Request for reboot, I restart. It will not update.

With the support of Microsoft, I've been several times.  I am running Windows XP SP3.  It has been over a year since I was able to do the windows updates.  I can't switch from IE6 because he always tells me that my computer needs to restart.  It's a phone that I take home every day, then it gets restarted every day.  I tried a lot of support, but nothing works.  Please let me know if you can help.  It is as if it does not restart.

Have you tried to delete the key "reboot"?

See an old thread: http://www.winvistatips.com/error-message-0x8ddd0007-windows-automatic-update-t263236.html

That tells you where to find in the registry. TaurArian [MVP] 2005-2010 - Update Services
