  wlmail.fol is a tiny text giving the name of the folder. The exported messages will have filenames like 00D13E83 - 000025DF.eml. If you don't see all of the files like this, your export probably did not work properly.

  For a successful export, follow these directions:

  1. Set Windows Live Mail to work offline before starting.
  2. Create a temporary folder on your desktop * to contain the exported messages.
  3. In the Export Wizard, select the temporary folder, and then select all the folders.* *
  4. When it is complete, check that the number of files in each folder to the temporary folder is one more than the number of messages in the corresponding folder of WLMail.
  5. Copy the temporary file to its final destination.
     If you use a reader not NTFS to do this, you will see a warning that certain file properties will not be copied files. This can be ignored.

  * Windows Live Mail do not work with files that are not on a local drive, as opposed to an external or network drive. This is avoided by using the office as a temporary folder location. 
  * If you want to export the files sampled only, select each of them containing messages. Subfolders are not automatically selected by default.

• I can receive but can't send the email from Windows Live Mail 2011

  I recently changed Internet service providers (and don't know if that is related to my problem) but I can RECEIVE from emails on my Windows Live Mail 2011 but IMPOSSIBLE to SEND emails ... I get the following error message

  I contacted Microsoft Support but they told me that they help with this, because it is a free application and directed me to this forum. I'm running Windows 7 on this computer.

  You need to reconfigure your Windows Live Mail settings. For you to get the correct settings, contact your new Internet service provider.

I found some results suggesting to either change the registry or download the fix automatically and manually merge in my registry. I tried both with no result. I have event tried to remove the old calendar and create a new one... still nothing. Any suggestions? Help, please!

  Sorry, you have a problem with that.  What type of entry you are trying to add?

  Look at the calendar and on the left side, to half way down you will see a small block that will have something like "NYintelligentivnestor schedule" - there is a small block to the left of this one. To activate the calendar, click on the box to place a check mark in it.

  If there are calendar shown in this block, then go to "file" on the main toolbar and click on "new calendar" - one should then appears in a block with a check mark in the box on the left.

  Just got an email from "Windows Live Hotmail", * address email is removed from the privacy * asking me to answer in my name, password, date of birth and country.  ????  "permanent suspension" if I can't do this... links to all the pages from Microsoft including the privacy statement... I will not answer but worry that if it is a scam people.  Any thoughts?

  4. What mail client do you use?

  5. What is the number of brand and model of your printer?

  6. did you check the configuration on the printer options (or help)?

  7. are you able to save the copy of your printer hard disk and the copy of e-mail?

  You can try to save the copy of your printer on your hard drive and try to copy or attach to e-mail and check if it helps.
