• Cannot add text to additional images on the second page of brochure

  Greetings,

  I want to explain it, so there are many understand the problem that I have in InDesign CC.  I created a tabloid size for a company brochure.  The outside cover works perfectly, I can add multiple blocks of text and add text to all created frames.

  Now when I go inside the cover of this brochure, I can add text for the first block of text that was created without any problem.  When I create subsequent text frames, I can't have a fast blinking cursor inside one of the frames.  The slider appears across the page in the upper left corner of the booklet, instead of the image.  This happens for all the images I create after the first picture on this page.  I select the text layer and the image appropriate, then I go to the text tool and try to place the cursor inside the frame, and the text tool will not active there.  All text created will begin appearing in the upper left corner of the booklet where is the blinking cursor!  If I delete the first block of text on the inside cover, and then create all new text frames; I can't add text to one of the new executives either.  It almost as if text is limited to that very first image I created.

  Good,

  I found a work around.  Honestly, I want that the Type tool to convert frames for text blocks.  This occurs on the outside cover, and not on the inside cover.  So what I've discovered, it was that the executives who were not automatically convert to text blocks, I could manually convert them by accessing the object > content > text.

  I have yet to understand why the Type tool will do it on a single page and not the other, but at least I can end this now!

  After upgrading to windows 7 Home premium 64 bit vista family premium 64-bit, I expected to be able to connect my EPSON Stylus D68 printer on my laptop and leave immediately. However, when I tried to do this installation constantly failed.  Therefore, I went to the manual add the printer option in the menu devices and printers. However I met this error message: "Windows cannot add a printer. The local print spooler service is not running. Please restart the spoiler or restart the machine,"after reviewing the existing forums on the issue, I tried to restart the services option. However, the restart option has been obscured and when I just tried to start then I met an other error message: "windows could not start the spooler on the local computer service, error 1053: service has failed to demand launch or control in a timely. more when I click Properties to the spooler in the description it says failure to read the description. error code: 1813. This is all very frustrating for someone who just wants to add a printer to his laptop computer. can someone please? because I am all of these ideas.

• Desktop icons have all disappeared completely and cannot add new ones to the desktop display.

  I use Windows Vista Business Service Pack 1 on a Toshiba individual 5 months old Pro.
  Everything works well except all my desktop icons disappeared last week for example Recycle Bin, Internet Explorer, etc.
  I have activated since the "Desktop >" section of the taskbar and can now access all the icons in a vertical list.
  If I try to add a new icon to real desktop screen does not appear, but it does not produce a copy that can be chosen amongst the "Desktop >" list on the taskbar.
  How can I display the icons on the new real desktop?

  Right-click on the desktop, click on the "View" menu

  In the submenu at the bottom, there is an entry named "show desktop icons".

  You could reduce your page and see if it picks up all this.

• Cannot add files/folders to the Media Player library

  Hello.  New user of Windows Media Player (WMP) here.  Using Vista business so I think I have Media Player 11.

  I have MP3 (converted M4a format) files on an external hard drive.  WMP will play them very well, but I can't seem to add them to the "library".  I tried to manually add the folder to the external hard drive, these files are in the folders that WMP scans to add items.  When I press 'OK', WMP seems analysis this folder added (it shows some 3 000 scanned files), but it only shows nothing added to the library.

  I cannot rip from CD for this external hard drive and WMP looks ID, create folders and copy the songs to the disc hard drive very well (AND add them to the library very well).  But I can not "RIP" these MP3 files anywhere... "RIPPING" seems to be only for the files on CD and the computer.

  I must be missing something simple!  Is it possible to add these existing MP3 files to my library?

  Your library has probably been corrupted, so it needs to be reset, by following the instructions for WMP 11 Vista at http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#medialibrary . Note the reset of the library will make you lose all the counts to play and possibly ratings too.

  After the reset of the library, add the folder music on the external hard drive to the list of WMP watched folders.

  I display a text field on a screen. Is it possible to add the user to add text to the editfield, even if the focus is on a button. So, no matter where the cursor is on the screen if the user types the text it is automatically sent to the editfield. Is this possible?

  I think it's possible.  You can issue a setText at any time update the field.  The trick is to get and then the interpretation of characters.

  To give you an easy solution. say that you override keyChar to your screen.  This will get the control regardless of the field is in fact in short.  So, you could do something like this (untested, no compiled code, as only learning tool):

  String current = myEditField.getText ();

  String = new current + c;

  myEditField.setText (new);

  Returns true;

  There are problems with this, for example, how do you get back?

  Another option is to replace keyDown and if the focus is not on the EditField, set it to the EditField.  Then the EditField will receive all methods keyChar itself and treat them properly.

  I use the splash screen that opens during my xml application that loads all of the HTTP connection.

  This start screen is controlled by a timer thread which, after some specific time, transfer to the landing screen.

  I would like to add different text based on the time spent on the thread of Splash.

  My current thread is 32 seconds. I want after 10 seconds, I'd write "Loading News... »
  After 20 seconds, I should write "loading settings...". "after every 10 seconds etc. Then, total three changes will come during the time splashscreen transfers control to landingscreen.

  How can I achieve this. Post my code, which will help you understand the requirment.

  In your SplasScreen, use the following for Timer constructor:

  hourly (task the TimerTask, delay, long)

  Schedules the task specified for the repeated execution of fixed / period, starting after the specified delay.

  Then task will be continuously called after the time (period) specified.

  And in the TimerTask:

  1. change the text of the label.

  2. If the total time of the display is greater than your total time then make disappear the splash screen.

  You can try with something like below:

  I'm trying to add text to a video that I just created.  An overlay of text embedded in the lower part. I use CS4.

  I watched several tutorials, and they all mention that when I right click in the PROJECT area and choose NEW POINT / TITLE,.

  a new window is supposed to open that will allow me to edit and.  But nothing shows - except for the title in the area of PROJECT file.

  

  If it helps, I will attach a screenshot of what I see immediately after, I create a new title.  In the screenshot, it is named "my text".

  As I said, I don't want to create a title before the start of the video, I want to add text at the bottom of the video as it plays.

  So what I am doing wrong?

  I would like to know if someone has implemented something like Ctrl-F in browsers. The research should go through all the labels and highlight the labels that contain the text.

  You can use the getComponents() method to get all the components added to the Board. Browse the table and check if the current one is a JLabel instance. Then check the text in the JLabel and compare it with the search string. If necessary label highlighted (for example by changing the color of the text or add or remove line border color). Then, you can use the limits of the JLabel to make it visible in a parchment (if any).
