Cannot attach files to outgoing messages hotmail or yahoo mail in Windows 7

I have two new laptops running Windows 7. The system configuration is very similar between them. One of them has no difficulty to attach files even large photo for outgoing messages from webmail. On the other computer, not even small attachments can be uploaded and attached to the email. I checked everywhere I can think of to look at, including the rotation of the firewall on the computer, but nothing helped. Any ideas what is blocking outgoing attachment post and hot to fix it? Download of entrants on the web by e-mail ancillary works very well. TIA.

McAfee and Norton antivirus programs both tend to interfere with the mail. I suggest you to uninstall your antivirus and replace with a free antivirus that is compatible 100%:

  • Cannot attach files in any email AOL, yahoo or the company. Also only shows blank page when access yahoo email.

In any web mail program AOL, Yahoo, my companies, you cannot attach files when you compose an email. By the icon/button attach it says "no file selected" (or when you switch on it). This also happens in safe mode. The browser speed is also very slow. Once logged into my yahoo mail, I get a blank page. In the title bar, it says I have x amount of email.

I reinstalled Firefox and for about 60 seconds, it was fast and yahoo opens up very well and I was able to reach yahoo emails and on behalf of my company. After this he returned to its slow and not be attached and yahoo opening a blank page.

I have run spybot and deleted and malicious software threats found them all. I think something infects Firefox. IE and Chrome do not have this problem. Any help would be appreciated as I am at a loss.

antivirus was not a problem since it was not installed. Firewall settings are fine. I just finally solve this problem. SpyHunter was able to detect two of the hijackers that other programs do not have, and this fixes the problem. As I said in the original post I did not suspect that this was the problem. The lesson is to run several malware programs, until you find one that eliminates the problem, if you think that malware as the problem.

    Hello

Send it to / mail recipient option works only if you have a separate E-mail program is installed.

You must have a Desktop Email program is installed to do this, such as Windows Live Mail, which is part of the Windows Essentials range.

  • Why can't attach files to outgoing emails? The file to select appears locked.

HAVING HAD PROBLEMS WITH TB I'M THINKING OF DUMPING OF ALL OF THE USELESS APPLICATION. THE HELPLINE FORUM IS PRETTY MUCH USELESS AND TOTALLY CONFUSED. I CAN NOT EVEN LOG INTO MY 'ACCOUNT' EVEN AFTER THREE PASSWORD RESETS "SUCCESSFUL." I HAVE NOW HAD CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT TO POST THIS - AND YOU CAN EVALUATE MY FRUSTRATION IN THE STYLE OF MY USER NAME. I HOPE SINCERELY THAT AT ONE POINT I'M GOING TO FIND OUT WHY MY TB E-MAIL SYSTEM HAS LOCKED SOMEHOW THE ATTACHMENT FOR THE WRONG FILE, SINCE IT SAYS IS NOT ON MY SYSTEM (BUT IS) AND I CAN'T FIND A WAY TO RESET IT. Until I FIND WHAT THE * love * has SUDDENLY GONE WRONG I Can t SEND any WHAT EMAILS WITH attachments, WHO BASICALLY * love * UP MY BUSINESS TOGETHER. HAS ANYONE ON THE PLANET YOU HAVE NO IDEA AS TO WHAT IS PAST? R

HEY THANKS GUYS, BUT SURPRISINGLY I FIXED IT. Even more amazing that I'm a total dinosaur IT. It turned out for some reason known to herself TB trying to reach the wrong file to one e-mail that has already sent and received, (b) was on my hard drive, I had moved the file to a different location, but it was some time after the message had been sent.
I had to move the file, restore it to its original folder, attach the wrong file to the message I wanted to send - then remove the attachment and reset the search on attachments for "desktop" and then search for and add the file I wanted to send in the first place. What a parley - but in some way it has sorted all. I have no idea why this happens, but he can help others who have the same mysterious problem arising on attachments and file associations. Thanks for your help - my faith in your forum is restored - and my apologies for the rudeness at the beginning, but my boy I was mad!

  • On OSX 10.9.2 cannot attach files to gmail.

I am running OSX 10.9.2. Try to attach a local file to a message in gmail blocks Firefox hang. He gets to the download screen and then comes the beach of rotation ball. Must start the Finder and kill Firefox. I have Firefox "Reset". I also uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. Can attach files OK to gmail with Safari. Problem occurred very suddenly. No clear update has occurred. Thanks for any help on this problem. Its bad.

Thanks for all your advice, but I found the problem. It seemed to be an Alias of corrupt. For future reference, here is how things have progressed.
(a). I noticed that the "Upload" screen has been failed on the desktop.
    (b) I started to remove aliases, and after each deletion, tried to make an email with attachment.
    (c) I deleted Photoshop CC alias and "Upload" showed again the default desktop screen, but it machined does not hang, and attachments to the e-mail went normally.
    (d) I Redid the Alias Photoship and placed it on the desk. All right.

I don't know how an Alias could get corrupted, but I hope that does not portend a deeper, more serious problem. Thanks again for all your help.

  • cannot attach files to send

Lately when you try to attach any type of file in the folder my documents to any mail server that I freeze - I click on the file and the attach icon and just freeze - I have to force close and start again - sometimes I can reach and sometimes I can't

Search for antivirus interference.  Your antivirus software might be blocking the ability to attach or slows it down.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

Also, instead of using the Insert | Attached file, try dragging the file on top of the message and the last straw and he will become attached in this way.

  • Cannot attach files to email AOL.

Original title: cannot add files to emails (AOL)

Something in my multitude of security settings allow me to join my AOL email (.jpg) files from my C: drive.  I can attach files even my emails to Charter Internet using IE9.  I am the owner, the single user and the system administrator.  Where can I find the "switches" to allow AOL e-mail attachments?  I have a homegroup, a working group and a Linksys ethernet network on my laptop Dell Inspiron at home which is runuing Win7 Pro with SP1.

Also when I try to change the mode to "share with" for a folder of "null" to something else, it remains locked.   As an administrator, how do I control the action with the function?

  • How implement storage files and save emails in the application Mail in Windows 8

Know Windows Live Mail which allows me to create storage locations and drag emails to them for future use, but cannot see how to proceed with the application Mail in Windows 8.

I thought about it.  I decided to include 4 emails from different vendors in my Mail in Windows 8 application and realized that they all had different folder list.  Each folder in the application list was exactly the same as it has been implemented in my original email with the vendor account. for example, gmail, Hotmail, etc.

I connected to each of my email on the suppliers Web site accounts and created new folders here.  When I went back to the application of Mail Windows 8 all my new files now posted.

The App is just to import what you have already set up.  You cannot create folders in the application itself.

  • Cannot access Yahoo mail in Windows Live Mail

I use Windows Live Mail on Windows 7 as my primary e-mail which is very good management program but an old Yahoo I want to add to my Live Mail account.

Using Live Mail accounts I entered my Yahoo e-mail address and the password.  But when I open Live Mail I receive a request for my Yahoo name and password.  Simply typing in all thrown me back to the same page.  I sent a test message to my Yahoo which is received account so I know it works but Live Mail can't access.  Is it necessary to security special parameter (or similar)

How can I get Live Mail to my Yahoo account?

    Thank you

The link to Windows Live Solution Center went wacky. I can't connect either.

  • Is there a way to mark an e-mail as high priority when you compose a message in the application Mail in Windows 8?

You used to be able to do that in Windows Live Mail, and you can always do it in the new web Outlook e-mail interface.

I can't find in the application Mail in Windows 8.
Also, when asked on twitter, @WindowsSupport actually has responded saying, they "couldn't fins of the info on it. Let us know if you find an answer"on the support forums.
Perhaps, it can be added on a coming soon future update?

Yes, it can be done now.

After you click new (+) to create a new message, click show more to the left (under the Cc box). You should now see a menu drop-down labeled priority appear below the BCC box that you can use to select high/normal/low priority.
