cannot change the process unique network released (cleared)
I have software running on a fieldpoint which normally runs standalone but I need to run a simulator to debugging on a windows computer. The RT software uses several shared single process variables that are deployed to the target. In order to launch the simulator that accesses screw has also deployed to the target, I also access these variables on the windows machine (but only during the simulation).
I thought I could do this simply by changing the shared variables 'unique process', "network broadcast" through their properties dialog. However, when I access those variables, the network published option is grayed out. Does anyone know why this is? I prefer not having to recreate these variables from scratch, they are connected in several places in the application.
I have included the library file that contains these variables, in case anyone knows anything I put in it that prevents the change to the published network.
Hi Kgolden
The reason that you are not able to select the network has published is because the refnum of queue is not a data type that can be sent via a published network shared variable.

OK, this problem beautifully undescriptive I've seen caused by what seems to be dozens of things happening for me.
I made the mistake of horrible update my FC8 kernel to the latest one (2.6.26.8 - 57.fc8). Mind you, that's all that's changed. It was with a 1.06 server with happiness and perfectly good computers running virtual in use before the upgrade.
After the new kernel and reboot, I had to rebuild vmmod. I had to get a fix of any - any later that I used with my previous kernel (116 does not solve the problem of compiling) so I used all-any117d. Update like a champion.
Try to turn on a VM and Ihanta!, the above error.
Nothing else was changed.
I tried the upgrade to VMware Server 1.08. Used all-new any117d - update OK.
Error again.
I have re-run the compilation, this time to say 'yes' to what the installation script to "adjust the permissions of all virtual machines in xxxlist" or whatnot.
Error again.

FWIW, I compile as long as root, but have always run VMware server from my UID nonroot.
What now?
I'm in the same boat. Fedora 8 2.6.26.8 - 57.fc8 #1 SMP
I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling v1.0.6 thru 1.0.8 with all 116 updates and 117d. 117D compiles with every version of server but when I try to turn on a virtual computer I get this error.
Cannot change the power state of virtual machine: the process has exited with an error:

POST (no connection): Version mismatch with vmmon module: expected 138.0, obtained 168.0.
You have a bad version of the module kernel "vmmon.
Try reinstalling VMware Server.
POST (no connection): failed to initialize the surveillance apparatus.
Failed to initialize the virtual machine.
End of the error message.
I found several posts other people have this problem but
they are months with no recent activity and nothing that solved the problem. I found appeared
to get a fix, one updated the all an update that corrects the problem for
2.6.26 performing several nuclei, but the link for the update on TI-psycho appears to be dead. Here is the link to the discussion

Of course, I would like to know how to solve this problem as well.
Thank you

Cannot change the Google search bar
In Safari, I go to Google.com and do a google search. So far so good.
Now, on the search results page, I try to edit the search in the Google search bar and nothing happens - the Google search bar is totally insensitive. To do another search, I use the address bar in Safari or reload google.com.
I have deleted history, deleted all the data of the Web site, disconnected plugins and extensions, deleted the cache via the menu Developer. I used 3 CleanMyMac to clear and reset everything. I can't solve the problem.

When you attempt to change the priority of a process in the Task Manager (no matter what process, I've tried a few) I get the error message: cannot change the priority. The operation could not be performed. Access denied. It is while being logged on as an administrator. Would appreciate a solution.
Since Windows Vista and Windows 7, a logon administrator account always uses a standard or limited account for certain purposes. To access these properties, you can run a program using the "Run as administrator". To run as an administrator, you right-click on a program and select "Run as Administrator" in the right click menu.
Some processes of the system, such as services, you cannot change even as an administrator. Come on in "show processes from the user all the" which will ask for permission. Then reopen the task Administrator Manager and then see if you can change the priority.

Cannot change the name of the file in the file properties.
Original title: Cannot change the file properties
Some downloaded files have a value in the box "title" under the details (after clicking Properties)
I can't remove this 'title' and it appears so when I share the file on my network.
The file is located on a portable hard drive, but I tried to move some files from problem to my office to see if I could solve these problems there, but nothing has worked.I already have
-taking possession of the object
-allows full control for all users
-tried to use the "attrib - r + s' function
-among other...I just want to know if there is a way to change the details of the file. On another windows help page it says something along the lines of "some attributes cannot be changed" I hope this isn't the case.
Any help at all would be great, if no additional information is needed let me know.
Thank youThis information is set when the file is created. Windows has no native ability to change. You need a third party program. For example, see link below. Note that I have no idea if it's any good or works in Windows 7. Gives you the link just to get an example of what to look for.

Cannot change the power state of VM: internal error
Hello
I freshly installed OS elementary which is based on Ubuntu.
VMWare Workstation installation worked fine, but after creating my new virtual machine with a Win 10, the same message comes to me:
Cannot change the power state of VM: internal error
I looked a little in the log file, found this dump was set to zero, they changed in etc/security /, but that's all I've managed to find.
Here is my log file
Thanks a lot for your help
PS: I'm leaving a beginner in the Linux world, so explanation would be welcome
Hello
Welcome to the VMware community forums.
I don't think that the problem is related to a beginner linux user, it's a problem triggered by a specific hardware configuration.
If you look at your log file again, there is an error just before the vmware process attempts to core dump. The dump is a reaction to the problem.
vmx| E105: PANIC: VERIFY bora/vmcore/vmx/main/timeTracker_user.c:238 bugNr=148722
If you then put the bug number into google, you get:

Need ip vm info to change the type of network adapter
Hello
I need to change the type of network adapter on the virtual machines, but to do this I will need to get all relevant intellectual property information. This is because the server returns to DHCP afer restart, after the change of the NIC with the command below. I've seen various commands, but the simplest works only with 32-bit powercli which I did not present (or what I want). Does anyone do this?
Thank you
Get - vm servername | get-networkadapter | set-networkadapter -type 'Vmxnet3' -confirm:$false
Q: how to start the administration Console in 32-bit mode on a 64 bit system?
When you first install PowerGUI, on the last page of the installation there is an option to open the administration Console. This option will open the default version of the administration Console. The default version is 64-bit on 64-bit computers, or the 32-bit version on 32-bit computers. Actually, on computers 32 bit, there is only one version, 32-bit version. The PowerPacks to use a feature that is only available in mode 32 bits, so you can open the administration Console in this mode to use these PowerPacks. To do this, you have a few options:
1. from the start menu, open the programs PowerGUI, then x 86 folders and click the shortcut of PowerGUI x 86 to open the Management Console in 32-bit mode.
2. in PowerShell, run the following command: & ${env:ProgramFiles(x86)} \PowerGUI\AdminConsole_x86.exe }
3. in cmd.exe, run the following command: "% programfiles(x86) \PowerGUI\AdminConsole_x86.exe"
Note that you can have only one instance of the Console of administration open at a time, so if you have already opened the Management Console in 64-bit mode, you need to close this window before you open the Management Console in 32-bit mode. Also note that you may need to wait a few seconds after closing the window of the Management Console for the process to stop completely, how you can re - open it in 32-bit mode.

Good for laptop - cannot change the ISP; keep returning to a previous provider
Windows 7 laptop of my grandson, I'm migrating FIREFOX (excellent resource!) of my aging XP desktop. An existing Mozilla installation on the guarded device tries to connect to an ISP in Sydney (1000km) which kept out, I guess because the signal is too weak. Too far - on the Internet?
Reinstalled my new ISP contact, reinstalled a fresh copy of Firefox, copied the old profile XP (just underneath the random string file name), but cannot change the fault. Firefox at startup tries to raise the old ISP (Sydney) and expires, and then allowing me to establish a manual connect with the ISP (my current) new.
Perhaps a clue: in my Firefox troubleshooting info, change preferences, the browser start page is the address of 'old', with 'override mstone' ignore, what look like prints of registry entries, but I can't change all that - and maybe it's wise! An annoying secondary question: on arrival, the laptop listed no administrator user. So I am me came as an administrator, but I wonder if a past or current even Admin hidden could register (or other) entered resistant to change.Late discovery: the laptop is apparently infected with browser pirate btsearch.name. Search Google throws a series of removal procedures, and I'm now working through them.
What Miss me?Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:
- Microsoft safety scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit utility - TDSSKiller
- AdwCleaner (for more information, see this other AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one.
